- I've been using Samsung Flow off and on for a couple years now, but it's never been as good as it is on the Samasung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra! This is seriously next-level guys. The extra screen real estate that the Ultra gives us makes this such a great option.
There's so many other little things that Samsung Flow can do as well, like taking screenshots from other devices, sharing files like phots and videos, all kinds of stuff. Install Samsung Flow on any 2 Samsung devices and start enjoying the benefits of being in the Samsung ecosystem.
Thanks for watching.

You're welcome, thank you so much for watching.

Thanks Brian! I learned something new again.....great info!
BTW you mind share the link for your live wallpaper
Thank you so much for stopping by again John, I appreciate you! Here you go apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.wallpaper.livewallpaper.RaindropsLiveWallpaperHD8. If the link doesn't work, you can just look up Live Wallpaper Hd new in the Galaxy Store. Thanks again for watching.
Samsung flow is mainly designed for cross platform sharing such as windows or Mac. You can transfer, share files similar to Apple's airdrop. It's instantaneous.
It sure is great. I also use Quick Share and Link Share a lot for the file transfers, it all works very well. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience with it👍
Thanks Heva! That was the real info I was looking for.... that helped more than the shown stuff in the review
How to install Samsung flow to my Mac?
@@warriortos7293 Unfortunately it's not compatible with Mac :( A couple alternatives (though not near as good or streamlined) would be Pulse SMS and Android Messages. Thanks for watching 👍
[ Settings > Advanced features > Labs > Full screen in Split screen view ] is great.

Thank you soo much...been saving to get the s8 ultra..
Anyway, i try to connect my a73 to my s5e...guess what,it works...thank you soo much

I traded my tab s7 plus for this... Totally worth it!!!
It sure is! Anything multitasking related is mind boggling good on this beast. Good move on trading up, it's worth it 👍 Thanks for watching.
Just did the same thing on my s6 lite and s20fe

Any options for extending the screen? Phone screen to tablet / tablet screen to phone?
Hi, thank you so much for watching! Yes, you sure can! Please check out a video I recently posted called "Use your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 as a Second Display...". The instructions in that video apply to all galaxy devices, not just the Fold 4. You can share your screen from your tablet to phone, or vice versa using that method.
Great video bud. Kudos to you!
I had a doubt. How exactly do you pair the Tab S8 Ultra and the S22 Ultra together and use the phone as a color palette in Notes coz I'm not getting the option of switch to mobile in the notes app on the tab? Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by and watcing. Make sure they're both on One UI 4.1. Then update your S Notes version to 4.3.11.12 on the tab s8 ultra, then make sure you connect both devices via Bluetooth, or else you won't even see the option at all. The last step is to go into the Settings of S Notes on your tab s8 ultra and Turn on "Use Phone as Toolbar". Then open S Notes on your tab, start a new page, and you should see a new toolbar button towards the top right side. You can turn it on and off as you wish.
@@RADERTECH I got an update from Samsung that this option has been mistakenly disabled with the 4.3.11.13 version of S-Note hence it appears to be greyed out in the tab. They will be fixing it with an update soon. Cheers!
@@soham565 Interesting, thank you so much for sharing. Hopefully that update gets out soon.
@@RADERTECH It's already out for the S22 Ultra but it's yet to be out on the Tab S8 Ultra. Hence the discrepancy while syncing. Cheers!

Hello ,je voulais savoir quel téléphone et tablette tu utilises tous les jours ?
Merci d'avoir regardé. Le Z Fold 3 et la Tab S8 Ultra sont mes appareils de tous les jours.
What is that wallpaper on the Tablet? Looks amazing!

What resolution are you using to record your clip? Why is it so blurry?
Thank you so much for watching. This is shot in 1080p, but that's not the problem, I recall this video. This was shot with autofocus enabled, and I remember it "hunting" for focus quite a bit. Since shooting this one I've switched to pulling manual focus and holding it, so it keeps the focus the same throughout the entire video. Just learning the little things as I go along. I'm also playing around with the 4K modes on my camera, but am still fine tuning it before uploading 4K content.
What exactly is the purpose of Samsung flow? Like I watched the video and I'm not really sure what the app does that my s22 ultra and tab S8 Ultra does without the app. For example I can copy texts or pictures on my phone and paste it to a completely different app on my tablet, or I can send text messages from either my phone or tablet using Google messages and with Samsung call and text on other devices I can even make phone calls. Like is it more so for people who do not have Samsung devices?
That's one of the odd things about the Samsung ecosystem in that often the functionality of their apps overlap a lot. You're totally right, you can do all those things without Flow, and I use all of them often as well, especialy the call and text from other devices feature. Where Flow shines is that it incorporates all the things you mentioned, but also adds the Windows Phone functionallity of being able to see your phone screen and interact directly with it and gives you your phone's notifications in real time. You can also grab screen shots of your phone and adds an auto hotspot link. From a functionallity standpoint, I personally do the same things you do. From a "hey, that's pretty cool" perspective, that's where Flow comes in I suppose. I guess it's really about seeing the phone screen and getting the real time notifications without having to enable a bunch of other things. Also, keep in mind that Call and Text on other devices doesn't work with all carriers (T-Mobile and AT&T pre-paid, I'm looking at you), so something like Flow gets this functionallity back for those users. Thank you so much for watching.
Samsung Flow is basically for mirroring. If you want to mirror your phone on your tab or vice-versa.
Thanks, going to try it once my galaxy book pro 360 gets here
Awesome! The 360 pro is great machine, it's been serving me very well. Thank you so much for watching.

Is there a way to access / drag drop gallery from phone to tablet ... ( Or am I getting too ambitious here)
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes, the quickest way would be to use Nearby Share.
Send and receive files with Nearby Share
Navigate to a file you'd like to share.
Tap the Share icon, and then tap Nearby Share. Tap Turn on, if needed.
Your phone will begin looking for another device. Hold your phone and the other device close together; make sure both devices are unlocked. ...
Tap Send when it appears.
Where you get that background I need it
I like it too, it's pretty cool. Open up the Galaxy Store (not the Play Store) and download "Live Wallpaper HD new". It will come with this one already installed, it's called "Live Wallpaper HD 8". Other live wallpapers you download will get added to this app, so you can easily manage them in the future. There's a ton of cool ones like this that are compatible with it. Thank you so much for watching.
Based on your live wallpaper how long is your battery 🔋 life per day?
It's too early to tell really, but so far I have no complaints with the battery life, seems right on par with the tab S7+, which is a good thing. The live wallpapers I"m using are only taking 0.5% of my battery since I've owned it, and that's very low considering it's often sitting on the home screen often while I prepare for videos and whatnot. I try to only use wallpapers optimized for OLED, you can find them in Galaxy Store. Thanks for watching.
Use the umbrella as well...:)
Ha ha ha, nice!
Looking for a video about video editing on the tab s8 ultra
Great suggestion! I was hoping we'd have Lumafusion by now (it will be out soon on android), but in the meantime I may cover it during a productivity overview of the Ultra. It sure is a beast. Thank you so much for stopping by and watching.
Rain wallpaper?
Live Wallpaper HD new, can be found in the Galaxy Store. Thanks for watching.
Isn't that the smart view option on samsung .. which u can portview on any smart device displays...
It's quite a bit different. SmartView is for mirroring your device to a Samsung display, where this is interactive both ways and can be used on almost all devices. Thanks for watching.
@RADER TECH except for the time when ur fold wasn't near the ultra almost to the end of the video is when u were able to interact.. apart from tat u were interacting on fold rather than on ultra.. which seemed interesting... secondly.. each time ur fold went black screen it clearly says smart view on samsung flow.. 😊
@@shaerkhan979 Yes, it show SmartView, that's what that part of the app is called. Fun naming conventions :) You can keep the Fold 3 anywhere within range of the same wifi network, so it has quite a bit of reach.
Does it let us transfer emulator saves between two tablets
Yes. With QuickShare and LinkShare, you can transfer files of any type between 2 Samsung tablets. If the other tablet isn't a Samsung, you can still transfer from the Samsung tab to the non Samsung tab with QuickShare, but then you'd need to use another method to get it from the non Samsung tablet back to the Samsung tab.
Great ..but can we experience this on laptop?
You sure can 👍 Samsung Flow is compatible with all windows PC's and can be found in the Microsoft store, a free download. Thanks for watching.
Man i hope they will have the ultra on 5g cause i want it soo bad but i cant go back to wifi only so far ii heard only the tab s8+ and lower will get 5g lte
Don't worry, it's coming. Start expecting them to show up in different regions within a month or two, then in most places by mid 2022. Thank you so much for watching.
I have the Tab s8 Ultra version with 5G connectivity
@Tafadzwa Muswati what service provider and where if you don't mind me asking?
@Aristo Jose I bought mine it in South Africa. It's unlocked, and it will work on any network. I also saw a listing on eBay for a 5G version. I can share the link with you if you are interested in getting one.
how do you make phone calls from your tablet
You enable "Call and Text on Other Devices" on the tablet. You can search settings for that and it should show up. Happy to help if you need further assistance with it.
add a sim card, use the Phone app
@@estusflask982 Unfortunately, we don't have a sim option with the Ultra. If I remember correctly, they only added that to the tab s8+. But it might have ended up being an option on both of the smaller options.

Before this side sync in Samsung
Good times, I remember that. I think the switch to Flow from Sync happened back in 2019, it's been a while now. They're working really hard to improve the ecosystem, giving Apple's universal control a run for its money, lol. Thank you so much for watching!
Why does your hand twitch alot?
I drink way too much Mountain Dew!!! It's the only way I have enough energy to manage a large dev team and keep up with my kiddos, ha ha. In all seriousness though, it's most likely because I used to be a heavy drinker up until a few years ago, and I've noticed that being a "thing" since stopping drinking. Thank you so much for watching.
@@RADERTECH oh get well soon
@@AxtroGG Thank you so much. I really should have it checked out at some point.
I Really wish I got the s8 ultra and not the S8 +
It's funny though Paul, I often wish I did the opposite - wish I got the tab S8+ instead of the Ultra, because the Ultra is too dang big to hold comfortably when I'm sitting on the couch, lol. The grass is always greener, you know the old saying. The Ultra is nice, but I'll be getting the tab s9+ later this year most likely, I prefer the size of the one you have.
We always want what we don't have. I'm overall pleased with the tab s8, it does all I need.
@@LaufeysonVarient 👍
Won't work for my Moto G6 Play.
Hi, thanks for watching! Correct, you'll need to be on Samsung devices for this to work.
@@RADERTECH I appreciate your reply. Thanks. 😀
@@granjmy You're welcome!
Does not work with s23 ultra. And i traded my z fold 3 for it 😡
Hi, thanks for watching, and sorry for the slow reply. Been a little under the weather, so I'm behind on comments. So you can't get Samsung Flow working with a tab s8 tablet and your new S23 Ultra? Are you getting a particular error, can you please elaborate? I took a screenshot of your question so I can answer it further in the next Q&A video for you, I'll walk you through the setup. I personally haven't used Flow yet on the S23 Ultra, but it most definitely should work without issue.
By the way, you made a good choice in trading in the Z Fold 3 for the S23 Ultra. I've had both since day 1, and the S23 Ultra beats out the Fold 3 in almost all regards. Plus, lots of folks are starting to report a ton of random screen issues with the Fold 3, so you honestly most likely dodged a bullet.
@RADER TECH Let me tell you what I'm trying to do and maybe this will solve my problem. I want to edit a usb drive the same way I do going into a file manager. That means I need note pad to open so I can edit the drive for my job. I think I really need the actual windows program fir that to work. I was able to install what you had but it does not work all the way like windows.
An why would you need this? Looks like a gimmicky pointless feature for bragging rights
Great question. On the surface I totally get where you're coming from, but there are some useful "uses" of it that may or not be helpful, depending on what you're doing. Here's a few that I can quickly think of...
1. When you want to leave your phone on the charger and use 1 or more of its apps. This is really helpful when using this feature from a Windows laptop, as then you can run your phone's android apps without having the phone right there with you.
2. If you're lazy like me and don't want to have 2 devices by you, it's nice for getting all of your phone notifications and responding to them. So I can be working away on my laptop, and then can quickly respond to something that only my phones really supports, like text messaging or tiktok, stuff like that. You can do screenshots and screen recordings of the phone from the laptop too, though that's likely not too useful for most folks.
3. It's great for transferring large files of any kind back and forth between the devices without having to use any other sharing functions or utilities.
4. It's also cool if you have one device not in the Samsung ecosystem, but have a phone that is. You can use Samsung Flow on most any PC, not just Samsung, so it allows your phone to integrate with it without having to use the Windows Phone app. Something to keep in mind is that this came out way before we had the Windows Phone feature, so it was a lot more useful up until it came out, if that makes any sense.
5. And yeah, bragging rights because it looks pretty cool :)
Thank you so much for watching and for keeping it real. I agree, on the surface it does look real gimmicky. It really depends on what you're after I suppose.
I 🖤 samsung
I know you do Richard! Good stuff.
