I graduated from high school in 1981. It seems so weird when you say I love these old doors. I realize it was 42 years ago, but to me it seems like a couple years ago. lol
That house was in MINT condition!! I really hope whoever demolishes that house, salvages everything! The front door was beautiful! The kitchen cabinets, light fixers, etc, even the furniture left behind! The appliances looked like they were in MINT condition too! I hope all that stuff is donated!! I wish you would of walked out on the front porch though, & walked around outside with the camera. But thank you for sharing. Beautiful home!
15 minute cities are coming to a town near you. I just saw one in Tempe or mesa arizona. A walkable neighborhood with no parking structures or need for a car. It was apartments, stores, everything all within 15 minutes of the apartments. That’s also why they burned Lahaina to a crisp. A lot of these older larger homes are being destroyed for this very reason.
You might not like looking at other people's stuff, but I think it can tell you a lot about the family who lived there. An old retro house full of stuff is my favorite kind of explore to watch.
I love how you said you don’t like Looking at peoples stuff but the architecture. That’s the best thing about your channel. You appreciate overall design.
Ethan, thanks for another fantastic video. Only thing that bums me out sometimes, is that most of the houses are amazing, and I get bummed out at the thought of em being torn down.
I hope the vintage fixtures and household appliances get at least salvaged. Even the shower sliders look really nice! I'd rather have them stolen than just downright crushed under the assault of mechanical diggers =/
This was a beautiful house! Still in great condition. Seems like someone moved out just 2 months ago (although I know it’s much much longer than that). I can’t get over how clean it is and the nice furniture/light fixtures left behind. Yeah, the 80’s were all about mirrors. People put mirrors on everything back then. My mom and dad had huge mirror closet doors (which was pretty cool and convenient for getting dressed & ready honestly) and my best friends dining room had a huge mirrored accent wall with gold veining running throughout. It was very beautiful. Definitely helps a room look bigger. My dad was a contractor so he built our house (and my best friend’s parents house as well, among many many other houses and businesses in our area (I live on the east coast now). His specialty was cement, but he did it all. As a matter of fact he was one of the main contractors who built Bob & Dolores Hope’s house in Palm Springs, CA. Palm Springs is considered the “lower desert” and we lived in the “high desert.” Most homes in those areas back then (including ours) was a Spanish Style with the arches and red clay tile roofs. And the indoor decor colors back then were variations of gold/warm yellow, greens, oranges & browns, and creams. Brick was very popular too. And wall paper. Man, I WISH I could go back and see my house or any of my friends houses (untouched, exactly the way they were) back then. What a trip that would be. Homes had so much character all those years ago. Like the beautiful front door in this video. Details we just no longer have, everything is cookie cutter or so expensive no one can afford to customize. The 80’s were the $h!t. Not gonna lie. Anyway, thank you for taking us on this amazing tour Ethan. It was a very cool place. 🫶🏻
That's an awesome 👍🏾 home, I don't understand that either, you invest in your home in upkeep and maintainenc e just to be abandoned and turned down. Money wasted 😞
Very nice and original '80's home. I love the front doors!😍 It is always cool to see these unchanged originals, they always take me back instantly with memories, of either features we had in our home, or other places I visited during that time period. There were so many different themes, or styles and trends throughout that decade This one does seem to capture the country type theme with some of the decor and features, which is fitting for the location I think. It does look like maybe they were redoing some of the basement. Cool explore! ✌️
Crazy that the house is 40 years with an unfinished basement and they're going to tear it down. Surprised that they're only putting 1 house on there instead of a townhouse development with all the available acreage.
Thanks much, Ethan. Another great explore! Such a nice, well cared for home. Sad to know it will be torn down Luke all the others....😢 Stay healthy and safe young man❤
First I will say how much i looove your videos and look forward to each one. I looked up the meaning of the saying on the plate over the fireplace and looks like it might mean...O triumph of achilleos which achileos might mean ancient greek hero or milfoil, yarrow, or similar medicinal herb of the genius achilea. Wow, I hope this helps. Thank you for making these great videos.
Most people tend to leave things because they either cant take it with them( like moving overseas) and can only take somethings with them or they left in a hurry due to finances or the law.
Really cool house that deserves another chance at life. Just a few minor upgrades and finishing off the basement and it would be good to go. Nice brick fireplace that would be more perfect centered on that long wall. Love that dining room chandelier and those vintage lights in the bedrooms. I would buy these lights for my own house. Lots of personality. It’s only someone’s love of money above all that brings all the demolition. What fantastic acreage. Could perhaps build some nice stables etc and add some horses. In my dreams only. Ethan thanks for sharing. Take care of yourself be well and always stay safe!
These rich people who don't have the appreciation or imagination to see the beauty and history here make me want to puke. Tearing down this house is just wrong. 🤮
I'm thinking with all the stuff the Owners left behind, that maybe the developer came along and made them an offer they couldn't refuse, so they just grabbed personal effects, and keepsakes, left the rest , and just Baled. and your thoughts that the house has structural issues, is on point also.
I started in construction in the 80s. Always thought 80s was a bit of a mish mash of styles. A lot of mock stuff! I wouldn't pull it down though, just give it a major remodel. Too many people are to hasty to pull things down. Anyway, great tour. Thank you. Mark.
Very nice place, thanks for sharing Ethan! I loved the front door, wish I had it at my house 😄 I am blown away by all the furniture left behind, that stuff isn't cheap to replace...
Thanks for staying focused on the house and not the belongings! I feel the same way as you, I wanna see the house not people's stuff! Keep up the great work and keep those amazing houses coming! 😁
* sigh * another perfectly decent and warm home is going to bite the dust... For a hideous McMansion to be erected, most probably. Really depressing to think about. It's good that you documented it before it happens, Ethan.
Nice house. It’s hard to tell what’s up with the basement. Maybe they just never finished it because it was so nice on the main floor. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Ethan, the house is definitely cool. However, I do believe the light fixtures in the basement where the fireplace was being built, are from the 1960s , there just like the ones I grew up with in our house in the 1960s Thank you for all your awesome videos
What a beautiful front door I wish the beautiful fireplace was in the middle of the room it would look better and I love those stairs they're my favorite
That was thee style, in the early 80 s, Sad to say. The beginning of MY Business!!! Keep up the good stuff, and hook up with a home improvement contractor. I would hire U!
The room on the left of the front door was a combination formal living and dining room. The room on tge right with the fireplace is the family room. That wasnt a fireplace in the basement, it was where a wood burning furnace went. In more rural areas they had both types of furnace. That furniture is much newer than the 80s. I lived in a house built 1979 and had thise same awful clamshell sinks. Thanks for the tour. I love architecture myself but i also love the contents. It all goes together to tell the story of the home.
How bizarre - the house is easily in good enough condition to move into and live! Quite a lot of substantial furniture left behind so I wonder if the family up and moved to another country. We will never know. Great video as always Ethan
Beautiful wooden door with great character that plaque look Roman, a large picture on the floor looks like Mecca I think in Southey Arabia. simple chandelier and beautiful I have noticed the lovely solid wood trimming around the doors and skirting. Wash hand basins in bathroom and sinks in kitchens. Regarding that made bed some have too much some have none. Beautiful house unfinished basement great video Ethan thank you. UK.
first of all a great home to live in there was nothing wrong with the home there was no decay there was nothing wrong with the home it was in the country so it be nice and peaceful so i be happy to live there Eathan a great explore and see you in the next one
I would live there that’s a nice looking house. Why would there be a modern wifi box in a home slated for tearing down that’s been abandoned it’s obvious that someone’s been living there and recently had to leave for some reason.
I hope they salvage some of the things in there. Such as the front door, cabinet doors etc. Would be a waste it just wreck it all.. Enjoy your explores. Thanks.
Hi Ethan....dang. I love this house....I wouldn't mind living in it. Shame they tear down beautiful houses like that in Canada. Love the expensive furniture left behind too. Shame. Thank you.
Have you ever inquired about certain things you may want, to ask if they are going to salvage the stuff or not and if not get permission to go in a remove the items your self?
It’s a crying shame it’s going to be demolished. It’s in excellent shape. Someone could move in . It just looks like they ran out of money before they finished the basement.
I graduated from high school in 1981. It seems so weird when you say I love these old doors. I realize it was 42 years ago, but to me it seems like a couple years ago. lol
Haha, I was thinking, “I’m 63, and he’s talking about a door from the 80’s as being old. It seems crazy to me!”
I just turned 46 last week and SAME!!! 😂😂
That house was in MINT condition!! I really hope whoever demolishes that house, salvages everything! The front door was beautiful! The kitchen cabinets, light fixers, etc, even the furniture left behind! The appliances looked like they were in MINT condition too! I hope all that stuff is donated!! Me as well.
What a sin to demolish a nice home like this.
This house feels more like "ready to rent" than "ready to tear down" such ashame 😟
15 minute cities are coming to a town near you. I just saw one in Tempe or mesa arizona. A walkable neighborhood with no parking structures or need for a car. It was apartments, stores, everything all within 15 minutes of the apartments. That’s also why they burned Lahaina to a crisp. Sad there are so many people who cannot afford homes or are homeless. Then so many house just left to waste.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
You might not like looking at other people's stuff, but I think it can tell you a lot about the family who lived there. An old retro house full of stuff is my favorite kind of explore to watch.
Ethan this home is gorgeous 🥰. I could live in it now!! I'm so happy that no one has trashed it.
Thank you Ethan for another great video! Stay Safe! Hope all is well with you!
I love how you said you don’t like
Looking at peoples stuff but the architecture. That’s the best thing about your channel. You appreciate overall design.
Ethan, thanks for another fantastic video. Only thing that bums me out sometimes, is that most of the houses are amazing, and I get bummed out at the thought of em being torn down.
No kidding right depressing
I hope the vintage fixtures and household appliances get at least salvaged. Even the shower sliders look really nice! I'd rather have them stolen than just downright crushed under the assault of mechanical diggers =/
It is so sad to see perfectly beautiful homes being demolished 😢
Back when quality mattered. It’s a sad shame it’s being demolished. Thank you for sharing with us.

Front door beautiful and the kitchen cabinets are nice ones for that era. Nice brick fireplace.
It’s a shame that this beautiful house was torn down because it’s still livable. The furniture is nice as well. I love it.
There's no reason to demolish this house with very little work it could be returned to livable condition.
This house wasn’t bad i enjoy it I don’t get why some people waste their money and just let there house go and some houses be so nice
That's an awesome 👍🏾 home, I don't understand that either, you invest in your home in upkeep and maintainenc e just to be abandoned and turned down. Money wasted 😞
It's so wasteful, drives me nuts
They didn't abandon it, they sold it to a developer.
The 1980s sounds like just 20 years ago, its frightening how fast time goes by.
That's a beautiful house, I miss those old houses ❤
Very clean, they must have had a cleaning lady. This house looks ready to move in.
I absolutely love love love this house!! It is so beautiful. Elegant in it's day. Hurts my soul it's going to be demolished. Tyfs this explore.
I love this house. I had the same fan that was in the living room in my bedroom in the 80’s. I could live in this house with no remodeling!
Very nice and original '80's home. Ethan, you will make a good living doing house stuff. You are getting really good. Nice to see You grow. Good job, Dude.
Very nice one . Thank for sharing . ❤❤ Stay safe love ya
Crazy that the house is 40 years with an unfinished basement and they're going to tear it down. Surprised that they're only putting 1 house on there instead of a townhouse development with all the available acreage.
I’ve wondered that too, why the people would leave so much stuff. And why they left. It was nice to see a house that wasn’t vandalized.
That's a shame that they are going to demolished that beautiful 🏠 ☹️
Thanks much, Ethan. Another great explore! Such a nice, well cared for home. Sad to know it will be torn down Luke all the others....😢
Stay healthy and safe young man❤
It looks like they were remodeling the basement at one point. I definitely remember those 80’s bathrooms.
First I will say how much i looove your videos and look forward to each one. This house is great!!! So sad it has to go!!! Thank you!!!🙂
Ethan you are so good with how you present your content. A 'natural'.
Really cool house that deserves another chance at life. Just a few minor upgrades and finishing off the basement and it would be good to go. Hey Ethan
That is a nice 80s house! I can't believe the things they left behind! Nothing looks wrong with it either! How sad 😔
This house has CHARACTER... you can tell it was loved and very well taken care of. Would love to know the story!!!
I'm thinking with all the stuff the Owners left behind, that maybe the developer
came along and made them an offer they couldn't refuse, so they just grabbed
personal effects, and keepsakes, left the rest , and just Baled. and your thoughts

Ethan, that nice brass plate is showing us a scene from the movie: "Quo Vadis" story about the Roman Empire. Thank you for this fantastic video!
Agree, very well built house.
I started in construction in the 80s. Always thought 80s was a bit of a mish mash of styles. A lot of mock stuff!

What a Beautiful Home tour, Thank You Ethan, It's a shame its going to be demolished. Thanks again, Ethan.

What a very pretty house. It looks ready to move in. Too bad that it's going to be demolished. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊 ❤
Some people have more money than sence.what a beauty.👍❤️🇺🇸
And some people know how to spell "sense ". Spell check is free!
Ethan another great find. Very nice home. Thank u. For showing us.
I hope the people that destroy houses don’t find this one. It’s absolutely a beautiful house, I could live here.
I love the chandeliers. Beautiful house. Love your TIK Toks and CZcams videos
this house looks far from abandoned with not a speck of dust ANYWHERE
i’m glad you think so. try and google the meaning of the word abandoned
I haven't seen you for a while been so busy and here I found you so enjoy watching your videos
Very good year 82! I don't think the basement was ever finished I didn't notice holes in the floor joist.
Great explore. Luv this house.
Haven't seen u in awhile as always perfect filming & narrative.
Much luv
Carry on
What a beautiful front door I wish the beautiful fireplace was in the middle of the room it would look better and I love those stairs they're my favorite
Wow; this place is so gorgeous. I could move right in the way it is. All I'd have to do is clean. Thanks Ethan.
Hello Ethan 👋I’m watching this wonderful video now 👍❤️😎
Had a chandelier like that in 1st apt..
That was thee style, in the early 80 s, Sad to say. The beginning of MY Business!!! Keep up the good stuff, and hook up with a home improvement contractor. I would hire U!
40 years is a good run for a family and their house. I always enjoy your enthusiasm and the What’s Up in the mirrored cabinet❤
Nothing was really updated, but it was immaculately maintained. Someone loved this house.
Beautiful house Ethan and thank you for sharing this with us 👍❤️😎
What a amazing video 😊 I can’t wait for the next one
Good morning Ethan what a cute little home. Love all of the vintage items thank you for sharing have a great day.

Beautiful house So sad that they left everything behind .Thanks For The Upload 🤗 Stay Warm Ethan 💞
Looks like someone's 'gentleman's ranch retreat'. Or some wealthy urbanite's weekend second home. Just has that rarely used vibe, to me anyway.
Wow, that place was move in ready !
Nice house Ethan...always enjoy your videos...massive place ,...stay safe well and happy 💋
This is an absolutely stunning house Ethan thank you 🇦🇺💜🇮🇹
Lots of signs of water in the basement. All the white is left over from water interacting with the concrete.
Except for the nasty stain in the sink this place has been very well taken care of.
How bizarre - the house is easily in good enough condition to move into and live! Quite a lot of substantial furniture left behind so I wonder if the family up and moved to another country. We will never know. Great video as always Ethan
Really liked this house, weird the power was on but the heat was not working.
Nice one here Ethan. Maybe there was a flood in the basement. Really hopethis house gets its nice fixtures salvaged. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
UK.
No dust on furniture or countertops or even floors. Odd.
Very interesting place, looks well cared for. Sad it will be torn down.
It's midnight for me but I'm so glad I happened check youtube , what a super cool house thank you for the tour xx
first of all a great home to live in there was nothing wrong with the home there was no decay there was nothing wrong with the home it was in the country so it be nice and peaceful so i be happy to live there Eathan a great explore and see you in the next one
I've always wondered if you could offer the demolition crew an amount to salvage fixtures, etc. Such a shame things are just destroyed.
I would live there that’s a nice looking house. Why would there be a modern wifi box in a home slated for tearing down that’s been abandoned it’s obvious that someone’s been living there and recently had to leave for some reason.
Very beautiful home, what a shame they are tearing it down
This place is actually gorgeous. I would take it in a heartbeat 🤗👍🏻
I hope they salvage some of the things in there. Such as the front door, cabinet doors etc. Would be a waste it just wreck it all.. Enjoy your explores. Thanks.
nudda sick hoose .. keep rockin' mang 👍
Hi Ethan....dang. I love this house....I wouldn't mind living in it. Shame they tear down beautiful houses like that in Canada. Love the expensive furniture left behind too. Shame. Thank you.
This reminds me a lot of my childhood home. Lots of happy memories came to me just watching this.
great find❤😊
Prior to 1987, anyone and everyone was granted a mortgage but due to the crash a lot of people found themselves with homes they couldn't afford.
Have you ever inquired about certain things you may want, to ask if they are going to salvage the stuff or not and if not get permission to go in a remove the items your self?
I really hope the developer donated the stuff left to charity it looked to be in great shape ❤️
This house is very cool, sad to see it go.
That house is so nice move in ready
For the most part, that house was in beautiful condition. Whoever lived there took good care of it. I love brick too. Damn shame.
Amazing 😍
Aah Ethan Its a Good house too bad it's going down, these things happen its probably structural or more likely the money for the land
Great house! 😊
I love this beautiful house. ❤
It’s a crying shame it’s going to be demolished. It’s in excellent shape. Someone could move in . It just looks like they ran out of money before they finished the basement.
