    Wow so easy to open, they should sell replacement cell, and market this power bank as repairable

    I've had the Powerbank for a few weeks now. Hands down the best I've ever seen. One of the nice features is that it allows parallel operation of all ports and even charging from two power sources simultaneously, e.g. Solar panels. If I had one complaint: It is rather power hungry, just operating the MCU alone will consume around one Watt so if you keep it connected to a Solarpanel in the shade, it's actually draining the battery...

    So much nicer then ankers 737 power bank. Anker 737 has to be broken open unlike thr cuktech. Can you do a teardown on the cuktech no30.

      For all ignorant and uneducated jokers, it actually is Tchuk. It is named afer a famous Serbian inventor. Tchuk means hammer in Bulgarian. Not does only thr power bank look like one...but in Bulgarian slang, calling a technology Tchuk is the ultimate recognition of high quality. So, the manufacturer really nailed the choice of name. With a hammer.

    One of the main problems I know is in these devices is the batteries themselves usually after 500 charges those batteries become useless. everything else looks pretty good. What they use now to power these Chargers. They're not going to last in the long run. They're going to have to replace them with LiPO batteries that will last a lot longer than these batteries will. And it will make the device a lot lighter. That has to be addressed.

      Luckily near my place there’s a bunch of dudes who loves doing DIY powerbanks they can easily swaps better battery cells in these bad boys after they gone kaput :)) but these devices are nice for what they offer. I just hope technology develop enough for 200w and above single port so lower powered gaming laptop can charge with ease. The heat would be immense lol.

      LiFePO4 cells have lower energy density, so wouldn't it be a larger unit?
      I like that power banks can be charged so quickly now.

    • @theclifbar
      @theclifbar Před 9 měsíci +3

      The real answer is consumer replaceable standard battery cells (and recycling of old cells). Also best not to confuse LiPO and LFP / LiFePO4, they are completely different chemistries. LiPO (lithium-ion polymer batteries) do not typically have a longer lifespan; LFP/LiFePO4 batteries have much longer lifespans (thousands of cycles) but have significantly lower capacity.

    • @luisfj9
      @luisfj9 Před 9 měsíci

      @@theclifbar That is not the question I'm asking the question I am asking that the common man can understand, and i am not trying to be offensive but how long it would take to charge the power bank from minimum up to full capacity that the common man that does not know such things in regards to batteries can understand? That is the question.

    I bought it after watching your wonderful review. It's such a shame that such a well-built device has to be thrown away when the batteries end their useful life. The internal batteries are easy to find of the same brand and capacity, but replacing them requires desoldering the old ones and redoing the various connections.Not impossible, but not easy either. Shame on Cuktech.
