    3 cups of flour,
    2 teaspoons of instant yeast,
    1.5 teaspoon of salt,
    1.5 cup of warm water.
    Mix it well, leave it covered for 3 hours.
    Heat oven on 450 F.
    Bake 45 min.
    I don't put in the parchment paper, I lightly grease the container with butter, it comes out great, the paper gets stuck in the bread. I don't use Dutch oven, it's unnecessary, the bread bakes just fine in ANY glass or ceramic container

      You can use a Pyrex bowl. Or a sheet pan and add an oven safe pan of water on the bottom of the oven to get the crispy crust. I’ve also read you can use a loaf pan and cover it tight with foil.

      You can use both bread flour or AP Flour! Bread flour is slightly better due to it having more protein (eg gluten)! Also if you use AP Flour you will probably need to use slightly less water since it absorbs less water compared to bread flour 😊

      You can put a baking pan on the top rack; add the bread on a baking pan on the middle rack and add some boiling water on the baking pan you added to the top rack! The steam produced will give you the same perfect result 😊

      Not necessarily! It just needs more time without sugar 😊

      Hello, I see no answer so I'll provide one! You can use both! The bread flour is slightly better because of its protein content (eg gluten) which is more!

      @@thetangzhongmethodcan this be made with gluten free flour?

    • @thetangzhongmethod
      @thetangzhongmethod Před 7 měsíci

      @beverlytipton9037 if you use gluten free flour, i would advise you to also use xanthan gum since it mimics some of gluten's essential properties by sticking to flour and retaining moisture. However, keep in mind that it is gluten that makes the bread fluffy and moist so without it the result will not be the same!

    I’m following the directions but my dough is coming out so wet. What am I doing wrong? Are you not actually supposed to add all of the water?

    • @thetangzhongmethod
      @thetangzhongmethod Před 7 měsíci +1

      If you use AP Flour you should add less water because it absorbs less water compared to bread flour! Be sure that the bread flour you use has a protein content of 12-13gr 😊

      Add one empty baking pan on the top rack of your oven. Transfer your dough to a parchment lined baking pan and to the middle rack of the oven. Add boiling water to the baking pan on the top rack and close the oven lid! The steam created will produce a crunchy crust and a perfect loaf 😊
