Genuinely shocking aguero dosnt get the respect he deserves without injuries we’re talking about a player who would’ve easily destroyed shearers record and was Man City’s big moment player for a decade
Shearer would have easily destroyed Shearer's record f not for injuries. Shearer's injuries were worse than Aguero's and his record is reduced because he scored goals in the old English First division before it became the Premier League. Its even higher than 260! You can put respect on Aguero's name without bringing Shearer down. And you can't look past the fact that Aguero scored the majority of his goals (almost 300) for a City team that has been brimming with talent over the past decade. Both 2 of the best strikers in Premier League history and just generally in the world but for me Shearer's still above him in my list (by 1 place only though).
Aguero's greatest accomplishment is how many goals he scored WITH the amount of injuries he had. Easy to forget when you look at the numbers alone. CTID

James's constant disregard for Aguero is now starting to become grating. The guy is 5th all-time in the Prem ffs, had great longevity, scored all types of goals, scored the biggest goal in City's history and one of the most memorable in football, etc.
Also forgetting that Pep's domination only came halfway into his time at the club, and City didn't control games like they do now. Just poor form Jim, the best players play for the best teams...

Drogba shouldn't be on this list obviously we all know that but don't go underrating him as a player because he wasn't as prolific a goalscorer. This list was about best goalscorers and Aguero should clearly be on it and Drogba clearly shouldn't. But as a player Drogba was unbelievable. Goals doesn't tell you even half he story and I can get into the details if you really want. Anyone who's watched him thinks he's underrated and anyone who hasn't watched him thinks he's overrated because they've formed their opinion off the stats. Imo he's at least on par with Aguero as a football player even if Aguero is miles clear as a goalscorer.
Oh and reducing his big game player label to "a few goals in finals" is seriously understating what he achieved in the game. I'm sure you love Ronaldo. Well Drogba was genuinely a better big game player than Ronaldo. No joke no exaggeration. He's the best big game player of the modern era. But that's a side point and shouldn't be a factor in this list.
Just used the example the guy in the video did that he came up with goals in finals. Obviously Drogba was great and fit that Chelsea team perfectly, but when it comes to all out goal hound strikers he's obviously not near the list . Good points you made regardless, definitely a legend for Chelsea.

Aguero didn’t have the same team haaland has. Aguero’s Man City had 9-10 teams better than them but haaland’s Man City on paper are the best team in the world as of now (favourites to win all competitions). Aguero also has been world class for 10 years but I feel the way haaland is built he might burn out faster than others.
They might not have been the absolute best team in the world for the decade he was there, but they were still a top team, still win half the leagues & went far in most ucl years, si don't act like they were horrible, not like shearer at Newcastle or even when Suarez before Barca

I think Suarez should be even higher. He did it for 3/4 different clubs, has potentially the most varied goals of all players, could do so much on the football pitch attacking and defending and can carry a team by himself

Is like the perfect top 5. I love Suarez he's obviously one of the best players of his generation but people have been saying he's a better goalscorer than Henry like there's no debate. Thing is you have to look at where they scored their goals. Henry spent a lot of time in the Premier League (longer than any other league) so naturally his total career goals and ratio is a bit lower. If Suarez had stayed longer at Liverpool being capped at ~30 league goals a season or if Henry had played longer in leagues other than the Prem their records would be a lot more comparable. As good as Suarez was at Ajax you can't deny his time there helps his record a bit. I'm sure if Hwnry has spent some of his years in the Eredivisie he'd have more career goals. And even Henry's Champions League record is better than Suarez's. Overall their careers are so close. I don't mind if someone says Suarez was a better goalscorer than Henry but people act as if Suarez is the obvious answer when really there is no right answer.

If it wasn't for his attitude I'd put him on 4 too. Seen him live couple of times when he was playing for FC Groningen, Ajax and Liverpool. He could carry his team by himself, but he also could throw away a match for his team all by himself too. I don't know where you got that 15 goals a season stat, Benzema scored 131 goals in the last 4 seasons. Messi first because his goals per game ratio is unreal + most goals in cup finals of any player ever.
Pele Puskas and Romario could have gone in any order but I did consider the success that their goals brought to their respective careers.
Choose Muller above Eusebio because of muller's incredible 85 goals in one year, only topped by messi's 91.
Had Di stefano played more of his career further forward he'd certainly have scored more and been higher up.
Lewandowski is the greatest goalscorer of the 21st century aside from the obvious two
R9 crept in and this choice is a bit bias, players such as suarez and zlatan have scored more but couldn't not include El Phenomenon
IF haaland maintains this insane scoring rate he'll top the list but in my prediction is that he'll end up somewhere around 500-600 goals which would put him alongside Suarez, Lewandowski, Ibrahimovic etc.
Haaland is currently on 195 goals, only getting 300-400 goals in the next 12-15 years seems rather lowball expections.

@@axels9179 as great as Haaland is and has continued to be since you left this comment, we football fans underestimate how difficult it is to stay consistently this good AND avoid injuries. Messi and Ronaldo are complete anomalies in that they’ve never had any serious reoccurring injury issues. Most players throughout their career either pick up injuries or struggle to replicate their form. This might not happen to Haaland but the odds are stacked against him (and anyone else lol). We’re also yet to see Haaland in a team that doesn’t provide him with so many chances, he may not fare as well in a less competitive side. What I’m getting at is that so many things would have to go right for Haaland to get to the 700goal mark it just seems too unlikely. But we will see lol

As far as clinical finishers go only R9, Haaland and Lewandowski belong on this list imo. They all have this sixth sense for finding openings and scoring virtually out of thin air. That being said, R9 will always be the special one in my eyes, since he could do it all on his own.

Drogba is a shocking pick. He was an insane player and an amazing clutch player but he wasn’t a goal scorer. His 3 highest scoring seasons for Chelsea were 29, 20 and 12. This means he only scored more than 12 on 2 occasions.
Neither was rooney my guy , he spent 16 seasons in the EPL and his highest scoring seasons were 27,26 and 17.
I'm a Chelsea fan and I agree. If this was a big game player list he'd literally be number 1. Like a over Cristiano Ronaldo number 1. He was that good. And as an overall player his game was about more than just goals. His hold up play was better than anyone else in the world and when Jose brought 1 up top to the Premier League (433) Drogba was the one who did it justice. As a player he goes underrated by people who never saw him play *because* his record wasn't amazing (although bare in mind Lampard took our pens so that significantly damages Drogba's record (most strikers add an extra 5-10 goals in all competitions each season with pens). But as a goalscorer he still shouldn't be on this list. After the obvious ones you have the likes of Kane, Eto'o, Van Nistlerooy and Benzema fighting for 10th. Likewise Rooney was an incredible player and almost the perfect forward in terms of being able to play everywhere and do everything. But he isn't a better goalscorer than someone like Kane. It's about scoring lots of goals each season (having a high ratio) rather than racking up a lot of goals slowly over a long career.

I thought the list were top 10 goals scorers, not top 10 goals scorers in a final🤦🏼♂️ as he said in the beginning only 3 or 4 of those other players have more goals than Zlatan. Zlatan have almost 200 goals more than Drogba… I rate Drogba highly but common, you can’t place him over Zlatan in a list that is about scoring goals.
I just wanted to point out, that Ronaldo has only scored one overhead kick in his career, so I think saying thats part of his game is reaching a lot.

This while still being the player with the most goals in finals.

I give you ex- most of knockout goals of Messi after 14/15 in cls are outside the box or difficult goals and not a tap in because he join the attack by dropping deep and then pass the ball to runner and then join attack.
