As a dog bather…bro thank you *so much* for not just saying “oops can’t do it now, we’ll leave it to the pros.” Like no, if you don’t do the training at home, us forcing them through something because y’all are paying us to do it in a timely manner will only make the trauma and anxiety worse. Proper at home training for grooming is *so* important

Hi, I noticed you’re using the same nail “slicer” I used to for my Goldens. May I make a suggestion to you about trimming Todd’s claws. First, it’s best to be alone with him so there are no distractions. Have him lay on the sofa with his paws hanging over the edge. As you kneel next to him, slowly slice/trim his toe beans. (Have the clotting powder near by if you accidentally cut a quick.) Having him in this position always him to be comfortably balanced instead of grabbing one foot which might tip him over. I hope this helps you (and Todd) get his claws trimmed. If that doesn’t work then take him walking on concrete and hopefully his claws will grind down from walking a lot. Good Luck.
