I remember learning this a while back in one of my physio classes. It was so confusing cause the professor talked fast and didn't clearly break it down. Luckily, this short video thoroughly explains the cells in a clear voice and at a good pace.

Very good review of the alveoli within the lungs as well as the different types and their functions.

  • @marissanagy-cortes8665

Your clear descriptions really helped me learn the different types!

This video clearly outlines the different types of pneumocytes and it's very helpful that you broke them each down and described their function.

  • @isabellagabrielletabornal9244

When I did the Sarikas on this topic and then I watched the video, it solidified what I learned. I liked how you mentioned the macrophages, too.

helpful video! I struggled on this concept when I reviewed the powerpoint, but now I feel like I have a grasp on it.

When I was reviewing the histology of the respiratory system, I realized that I didn't know the difference between the pneumocytes. Being able to refer to this video was really helpful!

During office hours you talked about this topic and drew a diagram of the alveoli that helped show us where each of the cells were located. I think that would help make this video better

All of these videos have benefited me and gave me a better understanding as to what I should know. Great explanations and organization.

Surfactant and how it decreased surface tension kind of confused me at first but with the pictures and example of IRDS I understand it a lot better now. It was a good, organized video on what the 3 types do. Thanks!

Thank you for explaining the function of the Type II pneumocyte and its importance! In class I was not able to grasp how surfactant decreases surface tension, but this video clarified that concept for me.

  • @exchibeniqueaquino3763

I didn't know that there were three types of pneumocytes before watching this video and I appreciate that you include videos such as these that we don't go over in class, to help us further understand each chapter.

Learning the different types of pneumocyte helped me understand this more than in class. I like how this video can be paused and then play on your timing and like rewinding if you till have questions on it.

Thanks fo list the 3 types! I was unfamiliar with them and this video was a perfect summary. I like how you made a reference to IRDS so that we can easily associate that with Type II.

I didn't realize that there was a third type of pneumocyte, so this video helped me understand the role of these macrophages in the respiratory system.

I got this question wrong on the quiz in lab so before the practical I was sure to go over this video. After spending time to learn about the differences I understand the function of each pneumocyte type. It was good to see the basic function of each so clearly then it helped put it all together when you expanded on each.

This video is very helpful. While reading the textbook, going to watch this video makes it a lot more easier to understand. This video is also helpful for studying.

I'm glad I am going over these videos because there are some things you didn't go over in class such as the third type of pneumocytes. What we went over in class makes more sense now, I understand that the alveoli Type I and Type II are pneumocytes found in the alveoli and serve different functions. Without this video, I would most likely have to do further research on these topics to make simple connections haha

Explaining the surface tension and how it helps breathing was really helpful because i was a little confused on that.i also like how you explained the infant respiratory distress syndrome and how it relates to the type 2 tissue

Clear explanation of the different types of pneumocyte and their functions. I'm a visual learner and like when you color coat the different types, so that would of been helpful here.

The organization of the different types of pneumocytes was helpful; it made it easier to understand and follow along! One question; does decreasing the surface tension also increase the surface area for gas exchange?
