As for me (engineer) - thus parametric blocks are almost useless. I can see how they are useful for architects. Because all my blocks use grips and I need them (for a good reason).

Im a civil engineer and ive created some great parametric blocks, for example, basic pits, pipes, and other components to create biofiltration basins, OSDs, and others. Road typical cross sections, retaining wall details, etc. Use a bit of imagination you'll see its an incredibly powerfull tool.
