What a shame you couldn't have visited in June, when rose blooming would have been at its peak ~ including all the once-flowering ramblers.❤❤❤

The Black Country's borders are not clearly defined, but they roughly correspond to the old South Staffordshire coalfield, which includes enclaves of Shropshire.
The namesake “Black Country” , of course refers to the presence of the BLACK substance that was used as the power source that made the Industrial Revolution such a huge success, advancing travel and manufacturing to speeds and capacity formerly unimaginable.
