I'm curious... why are you guys watching this type of drama that talks about real-life issues that people are currently living (or not...) with? I don't think you pick these yourselves, so these are actual viewers suggestions, that are expecting you to make them laugh about it, to disperse (a.k.a. ignore) the seriousness... I'm almost halfway through, but I'm stopping, at least for now, because I'm depressed watching it, and also seeing you realise this is serious stuff...
Maybe some viewers are that dumb, but I just wanted to suggest that you look at general info about these suggestions before watching. Even if you decide to watch anyway, at least you know what the general tone/topics of the video will be, and you won't be caught off guard.. it's just a suggestion!

That’s fair but freaking out in front of him, when he’s the one who’ll potentially never walk again, is peak privilege. He saved her life, the least she can do is help him rehab for a few months.

I'm half way through and... that doesn't even matter anymore, this is a drama about very real current problems, there's absolutely nothing to make fun of, and this is a Nick and Cory video, who's asking them to watch this? 😵💫 And because I can't avoid overthinking stuff, I now wonder if people are asking them to watch it so they can make it funny for them to watch... Which is sick if people are actually doing that now...

I think this whole movies is fking hilarious. Im in the military, and it aint that deep. I told my leadership I was getting married and they were like 🆒. Then I got married, no one batted an eye. All you do is turn in a bunch of paperwork and thats that. Married, benefits, boom. No one cared. It was NOT as serious as this movie made it out to be annnnd yall were right, they literally just had to say nothing.
Hold on... This is also about someone with diabetes who can't afford life-saving medication, or has to rely on charity and accept a life of poverty to pay for those meds, when it's even possible to get them... I'm only half-day through, but what's your point? Who cares if the military part is not accurate, when we are already this deep into very real current problems. And whoever asked Nick and Cory to react to a drama like this is an idiot... I wonder if whoever suggested was expecting them to turn this into a funny joke so they can ignore the serious topics.
But you found it hilarious... I guess in a way you're lucky if you don't comprehend real-life dramas. But it's also really really sad..
my point of view, I think is more about then knowing they were "faking it" than being real, cause THEY knew they were doing it for the benefits so it kinda got to them making them kinda paranoid thinking everyone was watching

The film would’ve been better if Luke did a Bridgerton and used his statement in court to declare his love for Cassie. I thought he would go through their history together and use the moment as an opportunity to thank her for everything she’s done for him. Then she, unsure whether he was telling the truth, distances herself.
Then I would’ve had him show up at the concert where Luke confirms it wasn’t an act and that he genuinely loves her. I get that the writers wanted him to do “the noble thing” but it fell short. It felt like he confessed because it was something he wanted to do for himself, not because he did it for Cassie - which matters in a romance film.

Them asking “who the movie is for” it’s actually called Purple Hearts because it’s showing an individual from both sides being able to come together and respect and appreciate the differences but also learn to love them for it as well. Hence red and blue making “purple”

I've been to a few military funerals and they don't warn you when they present the arms and fire the shots. I always flinch sometimes they do it three times or more.

I dont think this movie is that much cringe like somany people think , it’s not an amazing romance movie but it’s a decent romance movie.
It maybe did have some weak moment’s but for the most part i thought that Luke and Cassie were a pretty cute couple , they did have chemistry toogether.
And also this movie is definitely better than the After movie’s and The Kissing Both movie’s.
It’s awful, in reality this couple is breaking up as soon as election season starts.

Hi I'm Indian here to say that people are involved in arranging their own marriages; arranged marriage is not the same as forced marriage. Arranged marriage is between two families, including those who are getting married. So as someone who is diabetic I didn’t like this movie because during her performance she started getting dizzy I’m assuming that was supposed to be her blood sugar going low which if that’s the case you don’t give yourself more insulin cause that makes you go lower it could be that she was giving herself sugar ( I use to have a vile of liquid sugar in case I went into an unconscious state and someone would have to give it to me but I switched to something else ) but I doubt that because she’s able to do it by herself where usually you’d not be able to and also when the boy is holding her and she’s drinking a glucose pack I don’t find that sexy or anything because when I’m low I feel very uncomfortable and vulnerable so just the thought of someone holding me doesn’t make me feel sexy that’s just my personal opinion tho and the only part I find accurate is the medical payment and the insurance companies

Such a long movie
I really enjoyed this movie. Without getting too much into it, I think the movie was trying to go for the middle ground politically. I get where Cassie was coming from, but I do think she was being a bit unsympathetic when Luke was still injured and they found out they had to live together. It clearly wasn't what they expected, but Luke didn't ask to be injured in combat either. But I also get it put immense pressure on her to essentially become his caregiver, at least whenever his dad showed up. And to answer one of your questions: they have differing views on love and marriage. Cassie didn't have a positive view of marriage bc of growing up and seeing how her mom had boyfriends from the base who treated her poorly. Luke, on the other hand, saw his parents have a loving and devoted relationship and believed marriage should be for love and for life.
I also thought her apartment wasn't bad at all. And it's right by the ocean. I mean that has to be expensive, right? And I was confused about the money thing too! Johnno was threatening them bc Luke hadn't paid up but then the next day he has the money?? Where was all that before and why did he wait that long to pay?! Or if he had to find a way to scramble that money together last second, they should've shown that.
Too bad y'all missed the part of the credits where it is more of a happy ending. 😂Not totally happy, though -- like y'all said, being dishonorably discharged is huge. Finally, I agree, your The Idea of You reaction should get more views!
