@@AbroadinJapan It is true to eat before an eating challenge (or thanksgiving ) but I find dodge dairy. A light oatmeal, a salad or bun with something in it or soups are good- though I'd not pick soup pre-soba challenge. You want to make sure you stomach is lined with something but not something heavy- binging after an empty stomach roils your stomach and binging after eating something heavy bloats you.

Every bowl is like one bite-size, right? So, how many bowls are actually a proper dish of noodles? Feels like 20 bites are one complete portion.
That would mean 100 bowls is about 5 normal portions. In the end I feel like itâs more of a psychological thing because if youâre eating and you see all the bowls youâve completed in front of you, your brain will probably compute that as you having eaten more than you actually have
I would argue that 30-40 bowls are one portion.

As I understand it, cheese makes your stomach feel full, while vegitables expand the stomach. The vegitable thing I can believe, because I did it, and ate four plates before stopping. (Four full course meal plates)

Reminds of the time when I ate a four man serving of self-made Soba all by myself and the ladies were completely baffled.
Backstory: I was visiting a kind of Soba museum when I was in Japan and there was a "How to make Soba"-course, but the catch is that you have to eat what you make during it. (Usually you come with at least two people as far as I got it.)

I've watched every wacky weekend and I just keep coming back to this one, but honestly this series is probably one of my favorites in a long time.

I love the three noodles of Morioka! My favourite is Jajamen. I did 130 bowls of wanko soba đ and I enjoyed every bit! My husband did 174.
Expanding stomach size is indeed a strategy, but not with high-fat foods like lasagna since they take a long time to digest and empty from the stomach. And regarding Connor's cholesterol levels I think it would actually improve after the soba challenge since it is supposed to be good for improving cholesterol levels.
It would still raise cholesterol probably due to the sheer amount of carbs.

DX Be sure to stay hydrated and stick to the B.R.A.T. diet (Bananas, Rice, Apples(uace), and Toast) and Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup (specifically Campbell's because there's not as much to digest) until you're better, you got this!
I love how different Chris and Connerâs humour is. Conner is more Modern and memey while Chris is quite cynical and sarcastic. And they still play off each other so well. Class acts

In another video where Chris did the challenge with Joey and Sharla, they said the woman who ate 450 bowls was a competitive food eater. The record for a man was 400 bowls but this man was not a competitive food eater.

With Ryotaro he ate 113 bowls so the lasagna definitely messed up his chances to win.
I've been to this exact restaurant before! It was awesome. I managed 113 bowls while my friend somehow downed an insane 180 bowls.

A tip I heard a lot from competition eaters, drink as much water as you can the night before the competition to enlarge the stomach, no more than 5 liters since it could put you in the hospital.
Unfortunately eating to max capacity is guaranteed to cause vomiting since the stomach stops contracting.
I genuinely want to try that now
