Can't the anti-cheat software just look at your installed devices and see you have something installed in your PCI slot that's reading the memory?
Not realy there are many reasons to read memory. If you change the device id to be something like internet adapter the anti-cheat cant just kick you off because you have internet adapter in your pci slot.
@@zunnu557 What about having a list of approved PCI devices? Graphics cards, sound cards, capture cards, etc etc. If something isn't approved, you can't play. If you have something legit that's conflicted with anti-cheat, you submit it for approval. I'd be fine waiting a few days if it meant no cheaters.
@@Movie_Games You can spoof any hardware in kernel level, anti-cheats can't tell the difference between spoofed and real device as it's just simple data
“Just”
lol
That might be illegal I think
Solution for the professional scene would be to imply specific hardwadre requirements where you would not be allowed to have more than one device pluged in your pci-e slot (if you use an APU that would bring pci-e slot use to 0), no more than 3 usb devices etc...this is something you could easly detect with AC software. It's like in professional sports - your sports gear/equipment must compliy with very strict standarts.
Great idea but Thunderbolt for example can allow DMA since its connected to the PCI lanes. I suppose you can force all users to just use normal USB ports instead.
I'm late to the topic. These measures won't work. Firstly, a PCI-e device won't have to make it's existence known to the host OS in order to read memory; I'm not sure why this guy's "Screamer" does that, presumably because he's more or less a noob who's learning. Secondly, even in case the PC's were physically checked for non-essential hardware, the cheat could be embedded in the motherboard or it's standard components like GPU in various ways you can't physically see nor detect by OS; chips could be replaced or BIOS'es modified.
Long story short, detection is impossible if the cheat is made "properly". Only means of detection is analysis of player behavior.
@@TheMrTape Good comment, bro!
@@TheMrTape not if the PCs are provided beforehand. I suppose there is limited things you can do with simple usb devices right? (given that you can't open up the PCs and mod them)
@@freshness7114 You're right, majors could do this. They could just have a long range of mice etc. to chose from so all players could get their preferred setup. If they really went overboard, they could make cheating impossible while not impeding players the slightest; make downloading stuff impossible/having a few whitelisted IP's, force teamspeak, physically block/exclude extra usb ports etc. and lock in chosen mice/keybaord usb. They should do that. That said, they don't even care enough to check players hardware to begin with, what matters to them is entertainment value; but as you say, in a properly controlled environment it's definitely possible. Lets hope they'll move in that direction.
For non-controlled environments like with the average player however, there's truly nothing to do, but analyze player behavior.
So this is how Flusha does it
It's heartbreaking to realise this kind of thing is out there and happening and for people like me trying to make it legitimately in the CS scene it doesn't seem worth trying anymore.

Thhere was this case from Norway: Enthelechy Gaming, can find more about it on a video called hEllberg anti cheat (english subs) or some Richard Lewis videos on cheating. They played and won both LANs and online tournaments and split prize money with the creator of the cheat, it was a board like stated in this video and they could use sound esp and shit like that on LAN, for online play they had radar, sound ESP, aim + walls.. And this case was from 2017 to mid 2018, so the cheats might be alot more developed now in late 2020 after corona giving everyone alot of free time and all that shit.
Almost getting to the point where you cant use your own gear anymore.
Basically. Even people like Richard Lewis are the first to do damage control when a suspicious clip comes out. That shit needs to stop--cheating is a serious problem in the pro scene that deserves more sober attention.
For anyone wondering how they did it. They used a modified version of Discord. Aka, they injected cheats into Discord and then used Discord to inject into CS, it's called using a middleman and there's not much you can do to prevent it except ban Discord overlay while running CS but that will just cause thousands of false bans. They got away with literal triggerbots, soundesp, aimbot etc at LAN.

If he noticed it he probably would've said something. Arduinos are small very capable pieces of hardware that are by all means "mature" considering all that, the latency wouldn't be stressed on your mouse movement, but rather the cheats adjustment to what it knows.

19:20 - this is what I thought about when thinking about 100% undetectable cheat. DMA can be detected to some degree, but putting something between your computer and monitor and creating visual aimbot that modifies your hardware input would be godlike. Like 0% of detecting it and could work even faster than normal visual aimbot considering you're working on hardware directly.
Aye RIOT’s getting publicity now! Insane you used Overkill lmao
1:49 on ur webcam i thought that black thing in top right was a swastika lmao
This aimbot looks incredibly believable somehow. Most just flick on target, track through walls, etc. This makes the movements seem debateable, like you would first think you're playing against a high level smurf rather than a blatant hacker.
It's called smoothed aimbot. U can change the smoothness, gov, hotboxes for each different weapons as well.
For aimbot you actually don't even need to connect to a laptop like this device, however for walls, sounds esp u do
Probably what shroud used
I can see a faze jarvis happening to this guy
whats the song namend in the end of the video?
Sparkles got that AP Royal Oak 👀
If i was gaben
i would honestly just pay this guy to make an anti-cheat for this
If u were gaben u would be surrounded by hookers not giving one single fuck
the guy just said that he isn't an expert in that field lmao
Nope, I don't think the CS community appreciates VAC as much as they should, not having a software which basically runs like a virus in your PC is a privilege.
If you can make a ridiculously complex and amazing hack, it doesn't necessarily mean you can make a way to detect it. I'm pretty sure the creators of skeet.cc would never be able to crack their own cheat and make an efficient AC for it
@@tirthpatel1562 look at team fortress 2 it's filled with bots and cheaters, VAC cant do sh*t to them.
The next day :
Sparkles got a vac
Why didnt he? Hes just cheated with a trigger and aimbot its against the rules
@@34fdfgbr dude its undetected smh
@@user-fd4il6pi9i if i cheat with lithality and its not detected then its still cheating and against the rules
@@34fdfgbr BUT VAC DOESNT DETECT IT SO YOU DONT GET BANNED
@@user-fd4il6pi9i but the evidence is right in front of me
a few years back. a whole team of semi pro norwegian players got caught using hardware cheats. and they used it on lan, in ladders and more. Richard lewis did a story on it
The tournament people can probably require gamers to install a custom software that needs them to “declare” legitimate devices on the machine. E.g. you can’t have any other “graphics card” than the one you actually need to play. Same for WiFi and other legitimate devices. They can also probably keep a registry of device identifiers to verify against. They can also possibly block specific DMA slots other than those in use by the game. But it probably needs to come from game creators and not tournament runners.
