I have tried layering MFK Bacarat Rouge and Dolce & Gabbana Lighg blue.. It was insanely clean, sweet like apple with a hint of ocean vibe. I dont know how to explain it but I felt so heavenly clean and energetic. 😍
Yesterday, I tried Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDP with Gucci Bloom EDT & I love how I smelled. Very fresh, clean, and shampoo like. The jasmine in Gucci Bloom came through but on my skin, that fragrance disappears on its own after 2-3 hours. I feel like the Chanel gives it more longevity and depth with the other notes it has. I still smelled a hint of the aroma on my skin this morning. It wore off to a "my skin but better" scent that was lovely.
Interesting! People should also try Guerlain Aqua Allegoria line of perfumes as they have been designed to be layered together

Yes, BR540 and Aventus (sprayed in that order) is a killer combo, it’s the layer I do the most.
Also molecule 01 and JHAG not a perfume superdose work with almost everything for me.

First time layering perfumes was with S.T.Dupont and Versace Eros Pour Femme. Amazing because they both had wood as a note but with the freshness of Versace I had a unique scent . Whenever I'm wearing edp's or parfum's, I just let them perform their beauty. Although, I admit that edc or underperforming edt's can hop on board my layering train --especially when there is some down time to experience the outcomes. Some peppery frags I don't reach for very often, get their chance by being paired with sandalwood -even a linear cashmeran or cedarwood... Agreed: lots of combinations to have fun...😊 alchemy, my dear Josephine!!
Great idea to mix spicy notes with woods, the outcome is almost always really pleasant :D
For me Tonka Imperiale is an amazing base scent that i use the most for other lighter ones to anchor them in like citruses, solar florals, gourmands, orientals. Also, TI+Feve Delicieuse make a perfection of a tonka scent👌 the only tip I would add to your list would be layering flankers from the same fargrance line! Eg the intensive with the original one to create more depth and richness, or the original with the summer verision to make a new multifaceted edition- there are lots of possibilities in this department imo😃great video💛

Which are the best pulse points when winter layering with fragrances in separate locations of the body? (Since there is less skin exposed;) Should you apply the stronger scent behind the neck and the less dense fragrance behind the ears/side of neck?! Thank You!

I would add my experience:
I mix fragrances that are not to complex or that I don't love very much on their own (but I do like all the fragrances in my collection). For example, I have 2 cheap ones that I don't wear very much and I said "eeeh.. what the hack?!" - It's a Swiss Arabian Pure Perfume Oil (Attar Mubakhar) and a EDT by Rochas (Rochas Man). I sprayed the Rochas first, let it settle for it to hit the base notes and then applied the perfume oil by Swiss Arabian. It ended up in a smoky, coffee, vanilla, woody fragrance which smells no less great than many niche out there. And, yes, I think this goes against your tip of experimenting with a) same concentration fragrances and b) apply the strong one first. But, hey, it's all about discovering!

I just had the idea to try layering CK in2u for her with something.. The lemon note in that one doesn’t last as long as I’d like, so I may try it with Lemon Island, or Eau d’Hadrien by Annick Goutal or something lemony 🍋☺️💛

Love the cleanliness behind you Josephine. Totally me. JUST like theme of this video! 👍👍👍 My only tip would be to strive for balance when filling in the blanks. These days, it's hard to go wrong with adding a touch of sweetness to the base. I'm on the verge to changing my account name to Just Add Vanilla. 🤣 Heck, if Aventus can get away with it...n'est-ce pas?

Wonder how many sprays of Ambroxan should I do with YSL La Nuit De L'Homme? would 2 or 3 Ambroxan and 4-5 YSL be good? Thanks in advance.
You’re going to need more sprays with la Nuit de L’homme! I would suggest at least 10-15 sprays and then 5-7 sprays of ambroxan
There are some fragrances like Sauvage or Gentleman EDP that can smell jarring on their own because the first is an ambroxan bomb and the second one is very powdery, but mixed with something else are great.

After watching this I layered Sex & Jasmine and Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Intense, let Me tell you! It smells like GLORIOUS copulation. Like the height of ecstasy.
Gucci Memoire layered with Zara's Black Amber is divine! Turns Memoire into a great evening scent without losing any of its complexity. Would give it a 10/10 if it lasted longer than 4 hours.
I like to layer TF tuscan leather and by the fireplace by maison margiela

Layering suggestion: Guerlain's Habit Rouge EDT layered 1) with Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan (Fall/Winter) and 2) with SL La Fille de Berlin (Spring/Summer). Both render the playfulness of HR more serious, extending facets already there, and give HR a more modern signature. Best ratio of HR to SLs 2:1.

JPG Ultra Male+ Carolina Herrera BB Le Parfum is just sexy overdose! Some people think Ultra Male is too sweet or in some cases feminine, but the bitterness and the earthy notes on the CH Bad Boy balances it. It's like a forest of bubblegum cannabis. At least for me 😅💖
Loved the video, best content on layering yet. So I wont take credit for this as I think it's common knowledge for some but I was in a fragrance store and the lady helping us took Beach walk and by the Fireplace from Masion Margiela and combined them calling it bonfire. My wife loves it.
Oh also, I sometimes take a dupe and match it with its clone. So one of my favorites is taking Dua Midnight Rendezvous and YSL la nuit l'homme. Midnight Rendezvous last a very long time where my YSL does not. When I mix them I get a closer copy of the dupe, use less of my more expensive fragrance and get longer longevity. I do this with Elysium from Roja Dove and oud wood from Tom Ford from time to time as well... I also like layering virgin island water with aventus.:-)

Du Bois Oud Jaune Intense + Tom Ford Oud Wood Intense ! It is strong so I spray myself 3 times and 20 min before going out. Love Oud Jaune Intense but it is little feminine so I bring little bit masculinity with Oud Wood Intense. What do you think about that combination? Have any suggestions?
I learn so much from your content. Right now my favorite layering combo is Elie Saab le Parfum with Philosophy’s Fresh Cream w/mint. I feel like Elie Saab has somewhat of a minty opening & since it’s getting warmer I like enhancing that while still keeping it full bodied with the creaminess of vanilla. I’m excited to start pairing Julia has a gun vanilla vibes with Aerin Hibiscus Palm as per ur recommendation.

Wonderful! So pleased to hear it. Hmm... very good question. Maybe a fresh white floral? I find that Bal d'Afrique has quite a solar quality to it and jasmine could compliment it well.

Nice video Jus👍 I'm still curious about layering PDM Herod with PDM Oajan. The result might be something that could smell similar to PDM Carlisle.
I wish PDM had more discovery set samples, I would be all over that. I'm limiting my time in stores these days, hopefully in the next couple of months I'll be able to try them!
@@jusderose Yes you should! Carlisle opens up with a Oajan like gourmand sweetness which is fantastic! Then it dries down to that awesome tobacco Herod scent. Girls/women, are always complimenting me when I wear it!!😁

Rasasi Oudh Al Boruzz Asrar Indonesia is a fresh oud scent. Also, Verticaloud sounds be very similar to Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade

Can you (or anyone else who wants to weigh in) please recommend a fragrance that I can layer with Byredo’s Rose of No Man’s Land to make it less sweet? I enjoy rose 🌹 scents but I’ve realised I prefer a fresher, greener rose, rather than Byredo’s RONML in which I find the raspberry notes too prominent and gives it a sweetness that I find a bit cloying. I was thinking to pair it with a woody scent like Santal 33 (which I don’t currently own) - do you think that would work? I will disclose that I don’t enjoy gourmand, fruity or overly spicy scents (yes, I am fussy 😅). Thanks if anyone could help, I would appreciate the input of someone more experienced in fragrance than myself! 😊
Thanks for your comment. That’s a tough one! If you want to freshen it up with a little woody background you can try Molecule 02 by Escentric Molecules (smells of ambroxan which is mineral fresh and woody ambery)
I don t like to "layer" but spray different perfumes on different parts of my skin which mix in the air

Great video #10 is defo my biggest approach to this I love layering like a crazy man, it's very 50/50 some really don't work 😂 but even that's fun. The absolute craziest iv ever done I don't know if I recommend it because was a little too strong was layering a very skanky oud with Joop Homme, the skank and deep woods really temper the crazy sweetness from joop, making one of my favourites into something really different I'd even go as far as saying "sophisticated"
