    Two of Wands and starcrossed knits are my absolute favorite designers. I do like the PetiteKnit pieces I've made, but since everyone makes them I tend to get bored seeing them in my feed over and over. I love the sporty chic silhouettes from Two of Wands and how many of her patterns are free and more accessible to beginners. Starcrossed knits has the prettiest, most feminine patterns and she always includes super helpful details on customizing the fit, she's also a super sweet person and so funny!

    The sophie scarf is literally the reason I started knitting! I saw someone wearing one at an organizing event and furiously started googling to figure out how I could make one myself. It ended up being the perfect beginner pattern for me since I liked learning a few techniques in one and didn't mean keeping track of where I was the whole time. I just noted each row with a tally mark on the pattern. Unfortunately, I don't actually wear the two I've made that much, but they have come in handy a few times.
    The only thing I regret about starting my knitting journey with PetitKnit patterns is that so many other patterns seem imprecise or not well written to me now.

    I love her patterns and am knitting my second champagne cardigan for myself. I've made 2 zipper sweater man sweaters and will be making the lighter version for my husband this year and the woman zipper for me. (Already have the yarn) i have made many of her baby knitts as baby gifts) the most patterns i own from one designer are her patterns and knitting for olive. ❤ love them both!!!!

    This was an amazing pattern that I made for my husband. It was a relatively quick knit as its for Arun weight. (I did in worsted and it worked out fine, but I knit a little loose, so guage was no problem. I did the crew collar, not rolled, as I feel the same about the rolled color as you do, too bulky!!

    You have a very nice collection of Petiteknit. You sold me on the stockholm sweater. I love the double folded collar and drop shoulder design. I made her Monday sweater which I like but the double folded collar just looks a bit off. I want to make another Monday sweater but next time I will either add more rows to the collar or keep it single. Btw, your lavender sweater is so pretty!

  • @christinaheesakacowden-wut3809

    Lol, I am one of those who never knit a Sophie scarf; can you believe it! Call me a party pooper, but it reminds me more of a rope than a scarf, and I can`t stand anything tied around my neck which is that thin and tight. All right, that`s just me. I think Petite Knit has a lot of nice pattern otherwise. The constructions are very unique and I am not used to knitting top down stuff. Back in the day, I started knitting in 1971, we knitted on straight needles and only bottom up, making all the different parts and then sewing them together. Knitting came a long way since then. Love from Germany.

    My favourite designer is definitely Fabel Knitwear, with Lily Kate France as close second.
    From Petite Knit, I've only ever knitted the Sophie sisters. I didn't have to count the decreases because of the row counter app I use - I just plugged them in and the app warned me when they were due. But yeah, they're a bit overrated. Cute and nice for a gift, though.
    As for men's sweaters, the two names that come to mind are Maxim Cyr and Jared Flood. Both have amazing and well-rounded masculine designs

    I actually haven’t made any Petite Knit patterns because they look too store bought for me. But I love watching these videos and seeing all the makes on different people and hearing what they thought about the patterns. I did buy the pattern for the Anker tee so I want to make that one.

      Absolutely, something that looks handmade has a wonderful charm that the store bought looking garments just don't have. I love my Ranunculus top by Midori Hirose because it has such a lovely handmade quality, it's so cute! Love this video so much!!! Why do you think petite knit rated the Ingrid sweater as a 5 for difficulty?

    • @woozybyceline
      @woozybyceline  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thank youu ❤️ I think it’s because there are many different techniques within it. Mock cables, short rows, charts etc. Also, some instructions aren’t explained all the way, the pattern assumes you are more of an experienced knitter. It says stuff like “carry short rows in pattern”, which isn’t the most straightforward for some beginners. That being said, the techniques themselves aren’t terribly complicated, and there are so many good videos to get help from 🤗

    Question: you mentioned loving the construction of the Ingrid sweater, I’ve never knit a sweater with that construction and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for simple patterns with a similar construction to try first before I attempt the Ingrid? - coming from a intermediate beginner knitter 🫶🏼🫶🏼

    • @woozybyceline
      @woozybyceline  Před měsícem +1

      Thank you for your comment 🤗The Stockholm Sweater by PetiteKnit essentially has the same construction, it only doesn't have short rows on the back panel, so it's a great one to test the waters. I've also made the Typical Mohair Slipover by Typical Bliss in this construction (which you can substitute the mohair with any other fibre btw). Some other PetiteKnit patterns that I'm pretty sure are in this construction (that I haven't knit) are the Cloud Sweater, Sonja Sweater, Melange Sweater. Hope this helps xx
