Thanks for helping me not ruin my life. I was going to trade my Jeep TJ for a Vette because I thought it would be more comfortable to sleep in but you really opened my eyes to the harsh reality.
I would buy a C6 Corvette. This guy knows nothing about Corvettes talking about personal problems. He’s going through like a divorce so that takes the focus off of what the C6 offers especially if you get a grand sport or Z06 you will not be disappointed over driving a jeep. Don’t listen to this guy. His videos suck.

I’ve had to do it. My c5 is by FAR the worst car I ever had to sleep in. Conversely? My 01 Camaro was one of the best. The seat went really far back.
One of the perks of the Vette as a sports car is with some effort you can curl up and sleep in the trunk if you sold your soul, house or wife for it.

I’ve had a C6 for 4 years and I have to disagree with you that it sucks. I’m in my late 70’s and I don’t have a problem taking off the top by myself. I love my Corvette!
The C6 is simply just too hard core for most average drivers with not great new features. It’s a widowmaker
I started off curious about possible flaws as I think it is one of the most comfortable and amazing vehicles I have ever been in.. but then realized the video is hilarious.. love your video great sense of humor!

@@jimmyvincentmusacchio6181 Go for it. I own a beautiful 2006 C6 red convertible. I want a C7 in year or two. I have two pick-ups as well. A 1997 F-350 7.3 L powerstroke 4X4 that I bought new. Red in color. I also have a 1990 F-150XLT Lariat shortbed two wheel drive. It has the 5.0 L V-8. Paint plans for this truck is Black Cherry.

I recommend that you get a nice 1974 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser with the wood grain options. No problems you will be able to live in the back. Lot of storage, tires will be cheap, you can buy recaps. Mileage could be as high as 10 to 12 mpg.. good luck, great video

I agree trying to sleep in one is tough, but waking up sore and stiff...and stiff...in my Z06 with 650hp at 3am, and nobody is on the road, and I only have to push that button, and the beast roars to life...worth it.
Great car for the money, my main complaint was the window reset and battery issues constantly with door locking as well. All connected. I had a 2012 and the seats were way better and did go back further. And my stock sound system was pretty damn good. Also the trunk has some of the most space ever lol. ppl said i had a truck in the back lol. I was getting close to 30pmg on the highway lol. Heads up display works great and is def nice when you have other cars that dont have it

Can you please elaborate on the battery issues some because that’s something I’ve heard about especially with c6 models
@MrNexus2000 the battery itself was fine, just everytime it was unplugged, had to do a window reset and then if the door was open during the unplugging, it would lock me out or a security issue. Had the windows cracked a half inch and couldn't get up. A real constant pain in the ass
@@steven-fury why would you leave the battery unplugged? Would you leave it unplugged because you would leave the car put away during winter season or something? Please excuse the question I’m just trying to get a better understanding.

Spot on! And I'll add one more here, keeping the clutch fluid fresh. With the heat at the throw out bearing, the fluid will turn dark and if not addressed will turn to mud. Use a syringe to remove the fluid and fill with new. You can't remove it all, but do this a few times and you'll replace most of it. I love my Vette. When I hit the throttle it's Boomer away!
that sounds like a nightmare, i got a C5, theres none of that, yeah the interior is way worse, but with none of this syringe business maybe its worth a look?

Funny list. Some is true some isn’t. Truck space is actually quite a bit in reality. In 2012 HUD moved into 2LT package. When you hit the brake i heard the same weird sound mine make. I went with a GS for the SAME reason. Fun video man.

I replaced the seats in my C-6 with C-7 seats. I replaced my steering wheel with an aftermarket wheel .

Fantastic information for new buyers. I sold the Oakley Shades and that will be one less issue, but I don’t understand the problem with the Mississippi River channeling in the back groove. My cousin in Baton Rouge uses Mississippi River water as fuel in his tractor and because of that has more torque than a ZO6. Why do you think the football players at Ole Miss are so good?

Plus the C6 is so easy to get into a parking garages, go up steep driveways and a joy to drive over speed bumps. Plus always try to park between a F350 ford truck an a RAM 3500 heavy duty pickup. Best if them both have a 6” lift on them.

Other than my battery always dying, the cup holder/shifting is definitely annoying. Can’t even drink a cold pop comfortably.
Never had a dead battery aftersetting for week.
Are the tires really that expensive or are those just the super high performance ones?
Pilot super sports i have 19" and 20" cup wheels so they are more expensive than regular corvette tires

Just a wasted video. I've ownered 6 corvette. You bought cheap. Luxury is LT3. LT1 is performance. I'm 70. Owned 72 still own it, 88, (2) C5, C6 GS, C8 2023. It the longest US production passenger car. It a performance sports car. Sports car is define by the English 2 seater. A Camry can be turned into performance with $$$$. IT still not a Corvette.

Loved this video haha. BUT! I have some comments, a lot of truth in the video, and hilarious. Center consul gets stupid hot, you can't put your phone or electronics in it otherwise they over-heat. In Texas summer it gets so hot if you leave something metal in there you can't pick it up. Headlights do fade and frost over. Left two pedals definitely slip when your feet are wet. Haven't had issues with the water draining around the back hatch, just drive it after washing and it will dry out on its own. Seats are comfortable but have play in them, the automatic back and forth actuation when getting out is super annoying and wish you could turn it off on higher models. FUEL LEVEL SENSORS ALL BREAK on these cars at some point, and they are tough to replace (done both sides myself). Harmonic balancer issues. Alternator issues if you rev high. 1 to 4 shift can be tuned out. Tires are expensive on all sports cars. Radio and backup camera can be replaced and it makes a huge difference. Haven't had issues shifting with the cup holders. Pretty bad brake fade with medium braking on curvy roads. Doesn't have a remote clutch bleed-stupid. Some electrical issues on the car if modified usually.
I guess if someone ends up sleeping in a corvette their priorities in life were screwed up wayyyy before a divorce is on the table.

Yeah the cup carrier's do suck, but I don't mind, driving my Z06 is always a blast. Had a 2011 GS before the Z06, did have 15in sub in the back, but had to get box custom made🤣 so that's right too.
I have one thing to say - Its American Muscle right there don't complaint.
I have owned corvettes for years & I haven’t had any problem with seats or lights or sound system , however there is a ass for every seat & I’m a proud corvette owner.👍

What’s the 1-3 gears issue thing ?
Ive had one for a few years. Its best to think of it as a WS6 on steroids. Its cost cutting comes from the interior and overall inside. The motor is where all the cash got dumped into.
-My clutch doesnt feel heavy or any different than my SN95 Mustang
-I will forever hate Bose for the trash ass sound system, I installed all new stuff myself.
-Tires like that are universal not specific to the corvette
- I get 20-30 MPG on a stock LS2, you have a Cam thats your issue.
-The center console is useless
-Mine doesnt get hot
-I have the HUD and its ok, feels like old tech now tho
-The 1-4 shift is avoided with just a little more RPM.
-the top is super easy to remove for me.
-The headlights ARE always trashed out
EDIT: every single LS2 Corevette must have the Harmonic balancer changed before 70k miles. It's a long story but the community is in unity about this one. They fail every 60K miles or so.
Some of this is correct but I have had no problems sleeping in my vette's on long trips to Texas or Florida from Michigan. You have to learn how to navigate to seat just right and you'll get more than 90° out of that seat and I'm 6'1". I'm not saying it's comfortable but it is doable, lol. Also not the best sleep when you're at a rest area but it can be done. I own a C4 & a C5 ZO6 FRC and they have their pluses and minuses. But a lot of what you did mention is correct that's why I also have a 2500 HD Silverado crew cab and a Gen 3 Toyota 4Runner with a 3" lift for my off roading fun. Both I have no complaints except my gas mileage 😟.

Take it from a C6 drop top owner since 2007, my advise to you is get rid of it if your that dissatisfied! Oh one more fact I’m a young 77 years.
Lesson learned, and my take away is, "youre a no driving dude" keep your stable diversified. All my Vettes over the years have been for pleasure! 🏁⚜️🇺🇸

I agree with the cupholders and not much space to put sunglasses but other than that you’re completely wrong I believe along with a lot of others you just do not like Corvettes. Most people that know Corvettes and muscle cars in general understand and respect this car greatly. The power under this hood and the performance will override anything else.!! And the looks of this car is pretty amazing. And there is plenty of room to put stuff in the (trunk )

Wanna know why I like the c6 so much/why it has been my dream car since I was like 6 years old? I like it, a lot, it's bassically that simple, I currently drive a 2005 chevrolet colorado z85 with the regular cab and it's got that 5 cylinder where the fifth for some reason always has problems. My truck isn't exactly heavy on features, considering I literally don't even have an aux to connect my phone to, so i've got CD's ready in it. My truck is just a big inconvenience when it comes to a lot of things BUT I love it because it's actually fun to drive, that's all I really care about tbh. Screw all the features n stuff I don't really care about those things, the interior just kinda melts away once your foot is on the pedal if you are someone who actually actively enjoys the fun that comes with driving. I don't really care what others think of what my vehicle looks like because again tbh my truck is rusty as shit and small lmao not really a looker vehicle. The c6 tho? Hell yeah, that will turn heads for sure. Do I care? No. Will my shiteating grin go all the way back to my ears when I step on it in the c6? Hell yeah.

No lie, if your feet are wet on the stock pedals, it's down right dangerous.
You have to buy the New Balance Corvette edition shoe - they’re made of a special compound so they don’t slip off of wet Corvette pedals. They’re expensive though.
Bro I’m so glad I bought my 2014 5.0 GT it’s been super reliable sounds great with some headers and exhaust. Your cammed out c6 is dope tho if there’s anything us ford guys cheat on we take peeks at the corvettes time to time.

Um.. as a C6 Grand Sport owner... here's the truths (I'm guessing this is a satire/parody.. but still...)
1. Seats recline about 45 degrees back with the lever, though you might hit the wall behind you, so you'll have to move your seat forward to recline more than that.
At 5'6" (same as this guy) you can sleep in the huge flat bench area if you wanted (bring a pillow) and move the seats forward with the latch on the headrest.
2. Clutch is not heavy; it's very forgiving like a Honda Civic with early-bite. Change your clutch fluid if it is. Also, buy grown-up shoes.
3. If you buy the 3LT or 4LT C6, there are 2 subwoofers on the doors. 1LT-2LT can add these.. or.. You can buy a Subwoofer that fits in the storage hole in the back driver's side for cheap.
4. C6 rear-trunk storage is impressively VAST at 22 cubic feet similar to a Suzuki Grand Vitara (compare to a full-sized, flagship Cadillac CT6 that has 16 cubic feet and a Ford Explorer has 18).
5. Don't buy the run-flats (heavy, slow, doesn't warm-up) and you'll pay half that, which is about the normal cost for tires for any car.
6. You camm'ed it, so yes, you'll get bad gas mileage. I put a Stage 3 supercharger on my Grand Sport and get 22 mpg combined City/Highway. I can hyper-mile at 40 mpg on the highway at 60.
7. It's hard to fill your gas tank? It's the same gas cap on every car.. what? Silly. Don't be drunk.
8. Move the cup closer to you in the 2nd hole (or don't drink and drive because it causes messy drifting at 1.11 lateral g's.)
9. If you don't bring a drink, the sunglasses fit in the cup holder, or glovebox, or on your head (or in a case in the center console) or buy a visor clip for a dollar.
10. You bought a base Corvette... sorry. Infotainment doesn't suck.
11. Your eyes are the backup camera. You can install one into the infotainment screen though.
12. You can remove the 1-4 shift with a fuse for a dollar, or have a heavier right foot and it will bypass it for you.
13. Water drains down the tube so there's no need.
14. Lift more. You can't lift 20 pounds? Are those bicep implants? Targa removal is quick and easy.
15. LS3 is bullet-proof so you'll never work on it. Ever.
16. My 2012 GS M6 headlamps are not yellowed.
17. No one is impressed.
18. No girl is impressed.
19. Car is inexpensive (for now)...
