I wanted to say "thanks" for uploading this, it has directed a few people towards the Bandcamp page, which is much appreciated 😉 It's interesting to compare this to the issued version as you can hear where I cut the track in half, with the added UFO quotes and the AN1x solo. Quite a different feel.
That's good news Andy. I'm glad that it got some people to visit Bandcamp. It's nice to hear how tracks develop and change from their beginnings to the final release :-)
Hi. I love this music. I am curious about the name. Can you tell me what Kubusschnitt translates to? I am guessing it's a Rubik's cube reference because the translation I got is 'cube cut'. Is that it?
@@MetalNick It's a totally made-up word, there is no direct translation, I'm afraid. Yes, it does literally translate close to "Cube Cut" and if you look at some of the other artwork on the Bandcamp page you'll see that cubes were something of a theme for the studio albums. I'm glad that you enjoy the music, thanks for listening.
What I most remember about this track is that my wife to this day has got that opening sequence stuck in her head because she was listening to me when I was constructing it. She will happily share her views on how annoying it is to listen to the same few notes for an hour on end ;-).
Loving your music since the first time I heard it couple of weeks ago. Really just sounds like Klaus Schulze and others in the ambient/berlin school scene but different in a way, keep it up! And yea, helps that videos like these have links to the music affiliated sites to facilitate others to explore the whole discography of their new found artist.
I like black holes and the heavy gravity fields...haha,and this track...Kubusschnitt got better and better,on each album, happy for every tune they form in the ether ! Great track,Richard ;)
I looked up the translation for Kubusschnitt, and it's 'cube cut'. Do you or anyone else here know if that's right or? I'm just not sure what to make of it. Thanks for all the great music, Richard W.
Well,i wasnt very good in playing with the rubic cube at all...but who cares...i was always better with theoretical questions...and imaginate solutions...and lately i dont like mathematics so much, but step by step i also learn some of it...i always thought Lego's cubes are more nice (to build spaceships, rockets, ufos, cars, motorcycles and all that stuff) ! Some are really good with Rubic,to me this seems like a kind of magic, somehow hahahaha :)))

This is utterly sublime. Thank you Richard W, whoever you are, for the work you are doing.

In a curious way; wormholes can be much like a puzzle. 👍

Ask Andy. His comment is pinned on this page.

Where will that cube end up?
I hope it doesn't hit the worm on the head! Nobody likes an intruder.;)
It's on the other side of the Galaxy by now. Somewhere in Yorkshire I think :-)
