    HOW TO MAKE A PERFECT FITTING PATTERN FOR A VIKING SHOE
    • VIKING Shoe Pattern | ...
    MY OTHER VIDEO ABOUT VIKING SHOES
    • Making VIKING Shoes - ...
    In this video I will show you how to sew a pair viking shoes. I will demonstrate some tips to make the stiching easier and to ensure that the two parts are held together in the excact right way. I will show you how to turn the shoe and treat the shoe to make it relatively waterproof. My daughters will help me in the final steps and you will be able to see the shoes in use in all sorts of terrain near the small stream.
    Feel free to ask any question in the comments below. Also I will kindly refer you to the two videos I have linked further up. Combined these 3 videos will provide you with a good overall basis for getting to make your own viking shoes.

    YEESSS. Kids in proper viking shoes look so awesome. I know it's extra work, but so worth it. My kids just pass their shoes down to the next kid when they get too small.

      We also pass down the Shoes and other stuff but the little one seems to be out of sync so the passed down Shoes Are too big or too small at this point. But compared to sewing Shoes for adults a Kids shoe is Such a great little project

    Great tutorial. I'm adding shoe making to my list of skills to learn 😀
    Yesterday, our group returned from a five-day trip to Copenhagen. We visited Roskilde, Lejre and other places nearby. It is a beautiful country (so different from our homeland in the Czech Republic) and we hope to visit it again sometime.

      That sounds Like an awesome trip. Im sure you found the great hall at lejre fantastic. Hope you get more chances to come and visit. Thanks for the support and best of luck with learning shoe making. The learning curve is not too steap and its very rewarding

    Excellent job. I need to remake some turn shoes for my kids - they grew out of the last pairs I made.
    One trick I have found is to only stitch about 1-2cm (4-6 stitches) of the center seam on the upper, at the end where it attaches to the sole. Then attach the upper to the sole as normal. Having the center seam of the upper mostly open makes turning the shoe trivial - I don't even need to wet the shoes to turn them. I complete sewing the center seam after the shoe is turned.

    • @RAMUNI-Viking
      @RAMUNI-Viking  Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you Charles:) most of the tools Are forged and im not good as a blacksmith (yet) but have plans for videos about the clamp from Haithabu and making a pump Drill. When i get better at the forge i will try to make chisels and stuff.

    Hold nu op et håndværk 😊 Du er dælme dygtig med hænderne! .. og fedt du lige fik vildsvinene med 😅🙌🐗
    Jeg skal helt klart ha set nogle flere af dine videoer - elsker hvordan du er all In i vikinge universet. Tager til Finland imorgen for at filme bjørne de næste dage, så der er lidt underholdning til ventetiden 😂🙏

      Tusind tak Anders. Jeg er ikke udpræget wildlife men jeg går en del ture med linsen og får af og til lidt godt med hjem. Også ulve især, som jeg bruger som krymmel i vikinge videoerne. Det lyder spændende med Finland. Det glæder jeg mig til at se noget fra. Jeg er ved at planlægge en ekspedition til lille vildmose:) god tur
