    It’s interesting that all the guys in Florida blow clippings back into the yard and down here, most companies blow them out into the street or down storm drains. I personally bag all of mine. If you look at a lawn in north Texas that’s been mulched for 5 years or more, the thatch layer is ridiculous. Dead clippings just layered on top of each other.

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  Před 4 lety

      Here the clippings dry up and biodegrade pretty quickly, providing nitrogen for the lawn. Blowing in the street to me is rude and blowing down the drain is illegal (locally)

    You need to put bricks around your flower beds and you need to put mulch around the small flowers and you need mulch

      John, I am HORRIBLE about putting stuff back when I am done with it! My garage will get cleaned for 3 hours and look pristine, and in a week there are tools all over the workbench, everything is out of place, and it looks worse than when I cleaned it! ;D

    Love this video. I felt like I was right there with you on the mower. Quick question. What made you decide to get a stand up mower instead of staying with the sit down kind?

  • @hatterassportmechanic5621

    You and i would get along fine as neighbors because i groom my next doors yard each week with beers and pizza.

  • @firepipernickb
    @firepipernickb Před 6 lety +2

    Not bad not bad at all I would use the push mower in some places and also I would string trim over the spots you edged but other than that good job .

      @aguyandhiscomputer Před 6 lety

      Yes, I always have to tell my wife whenever I use a scrap piece of wood from "the pile". Too expensive to throw it away. I also have a nails/screws/computer parts/wires area in the basement.

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  Před 6 lety

      Did a purge of old AV cables last year, pained me so! Composite cables that hooked into a PS2, lots of the red/white/yellow cables. A few of the AC to Printer Power cables. All sorts of goodies.

    • @aguyandhiscomputer
      @aguyandhiscomputer Před 6 lety

      Same here. I find it easier if I keep 2-3 good sets of each type of cable and throw out the rest. A compromise with myself :)

    • @TexasRose50
      @TexasRose50 Před 5 lety +1

      I'm the wife, and the bricks and pavers are mine! And I use them! Hubby has huge boxes of all kinds of cable and wire that hadn't been touched in at least 20 years. He needs to get rid of them! He also saves all kinds of left over wood....but I use those to make shelves. Try watching "Hoarders", it will help you purge of unused items. ;) All is good. :) good day sirs.

    Just curious. is the reason you went with the 36 because of gates or...?

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  Před 6 lety +1

      Yes!
      1- Gates.
      2- I don't want to push mow.
      3- I wanted to keep things as simple/cheap as possible, which meant 1 36" rather than 1 big 60 or 70 inch AND a smaller walk behind.

    • @shadetreelawncare8516
      @shadetreelawncare8516 Před 6 lety +1

      understood. i went with basically the same mower but 42 inch. but i will have to push mow i'm sure if i get any clients with fences. so i did add a push to my arsenal. thanks for the reply.

    You need to take a shovel and dig up all those plants and little trees sporadically planted on the side of the yard, save you a lot of time cutting and trimming.

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  Před 6 lety

And that’s Ok it happens to the best of us all. Admitting it is however the first step to fixing the problem and making our lives a little bit more easier

      Good question! Bought the minivan the end of 2014 because we had a second child coming in 2015. Didn't start my business until 2016, which meant no desire to spend money for a new truck versus the $250 or so to get the van ready to tow.
