My mentor taught me to make beats on fl studio and mix vocals on protools. I like the way it looks and the plugins it came with is what made my decision.

I was using audacity so far, mainly for dj edits, removing slower areas of tracks, adding some effects, blending some songs together etc. but, looks like Logic Pro has lot more and comes with some music and beats too.

As a owner I am learning to use systems I normally pay someone else to do.Currently attending school logic pro is my first daw other than FL ,reason and loopcloud 7 that i am learning fresh. When i saw other tutorials they expect you to know your way some around using a daw, opening a new project, setting the bpm, finding your sounds, and finding your instruments or vsts.

Damn. This was THE best one I've seen and I've been watching these for days now. Everyone else is editing their videos to where they jump around super fast; I can't see where their mouse arrows are; the whole process of their videos is just too quick. I loved this, man. Well done. I'd love to see you just record several tracks. Guitar, drums, vocals, keys, whatever. I'm subscribing right now. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for making a beginner video that is actually for beginners! I’ve been trying to record guitars but still have problems with even simple edits. For example, removing unwanted noise before I start playing, how do copy a section from a second take and pasting it into the first take, etc. You have a ton of videos. Did I miss a video that addresses simple edits?

    • @Rmcbeatz.
      @Rmcbeatz.  Před rokem +2

I don’t have anything on that. But removing unwanted noises you simply either cut with the Scissors ✂️ T + I or grab the sample and remove it by dragging it in. Pasting is Highlight the section you want to copy then Command + C then go where you want to paste Command + V hope that helps

i’m just starting out in Recording Arts school, third month. & i’ve never made beats before but I have everything I need & this helped a lot!
I first ever opened Logic like 5 days ago & I was like omggggggg this looks Soooo confusing😭😂
I figured since i’m literally starting out from ScrAtCh it might be good to copy a song, just to learn the techniques First, & then starting creating my own. but I want to learn first like the techniques & the software, the keys, & how to actually use Logic first & not worry about making a beat on my own just at first..if that makes sense..
Butttt then I saw this video & im like waitttt I might be able to actually make my own beatttt
any other tips for new new beginners with making beats ??
    i’m so excited tho❤🎉

Brother, this was a HUGE help to me! I’ve had Logic Pro for years along with enough gear (both hard and software) to fill a garage) and I can’t tell you how many tutorial videos and dvds I’ve watched. Seems they all want to immediately explore every offshoot feature or sub-menu of recording which only confuses or makes it more complicated.
I just want to see how to record a basic track, add another and keep going and THEN I’ll want to explore the other features. But your video gets Right. To. The. Point.
    Question…
So I have DAW based software (Keyscape) as well as the Logic instruments but also have actual outboard musical instruments that I want to add like guitars, keyboards, etc. I also have v-drums , so my question is…if I initially start my first track using a software instrument then on subsequent tracks I want use an actual [line-in] instrument, does the previous software source need to still be available or activated in order to record along with/overdub tracks?

    • @Rmcbeatz.
      @Rmcbeatz.  Před měsícem

Awesome! I’m glad this video was able to help a bit! 🙏 and to your question. Not necessarily you can always mute the previous track by clicking the M and it’ll still record the new line in track then unmute to hear it together . Does this answer your question? 🤓

“The beginner” most of the time (and market share wise)
is not the guy who doesn’t know what a daw is.
The logic beginner is the guy who’s been on Ableton/ FL all his life but can’t bend his mind around the learning curve of a new DAW.
Thats who needs you the most bro.

My “logical steps” were not the same.
    Logic 11 dropped yesterday.
So everybody has eyes on logic.
Most “beginner videos “ start with entire songs on the screen.
My boy says “they all start from the middle.”

The first guy that makes a

    Click this. Then that.
Here’s where you find your old pet sounds.
    Here’s how you duplicate.
    Intro verse hook.
When people don’t get it and they’re trying to learn they never say anything. They just move on.
Most people have a daw already.
The greatest FL teacher (imo) is busy works beats.
(I don’t have FL but if I did!)
He starts his videos with “here’s how you…”
No monologue. Straight to the point.
No long “first hear my beat and watch my cool graphics for 45 seconds”
    Those are the best!
Sorta how you did this video.
    (Actually pretty good)
    People are impatient.
    Computer world is fast.

Hello! Is there a command to move MIDI notes forwards and backwards without using the mouse pointer?

    • @Rmcbeatz.

When I highlight the notes I want to move and use the arrow keys, they don't move. That never happened to me with Ableton. I am using Logic pro 10.7.6 for less than a month. Do I have to activate something?

There’s some videos out there on that specifically, but you’ll have more luck on Reddit my man. Learning how to properly mic up drums and mix them is something you have to do hands on and figure out through trial and error. I’d recommend just getting an interface, and a few instruments mics and put them where you think they should go, then press record. That’s how I learned, and you’ll know what it’s “supposed” to sound like since you’re a drummer.. mic placement is kinda like painting, where every original artist has their own style that you can notice with every stroke. Just don’t take it too seriously and enjoy it, that’s all that matters in the long run

Question, (how do you slow down, or speed up, the metronome)?

    • @Rmcbeatz.
