    I have my red rotary dial phone connected up in my home office with a VOIP line, however this Blue Tooth / cell phone idea is freaking awesome! Thanks for sharing! Now I have a new project to mess around with thanks to your video 🙂

    I have the X-Link version.
    What I like about it, is I can have my smart phone charging, and make phone calls in another room.
    I got one for my Dad, he has a phone next to his bed, and he can charge his phone in the living room. He would have trouble waking up, and going all the way out in the living room to answer his phone, also it makes it easier for him to answer the phone.

    Hahah omg thank you 🙏 this is awesome! Been wanting to do this with those French vintage rotary phones I’m going to try this 😂can’t believe they don’t make new rotary phones for this reason - b/ it is just so fun and cute

    I don't know if I would quite call it a useless device. I have one connected to an old rotary phone on my desk and I use it quite often. I much prefer the feel of a real handset in my hand while I am on the phone as opposed to a cell phone, which feels bad to hold because they aren't really designed to be used as phones anymore. Before I got this I would always miss a lot of calls because when I get home, I stick the cell phone in my drawer and I don't use it (I know, surprising, I am not glued to it constantly). So if someone called me, I would either not hear it, or commonly I would have my ringer off from work. Now with this device, It automatically pairs when I get home, and if someone calls, it will ring the phone on my desk, and all I have to do is pick it up and answer the phone like normal. It will even ring when the cell phone is on silent. I also find it much more convenient when calling or receiving calls to just have the phone at my desk where I always know it is right there, and I don't have to get up and get it. I used to have actual land line service, which I would use to call people, But these days if you give someone a number and tell them it is a landline, they look at you like you have two heads, and even if you tell them you prefer to use the real phone, they will still always just use the cell phone number. So this way, I can have a fully functional simple phone that just works, as well as still using the same phone number for everything, and also not having to pay more than one phone bill.

    I'm defiinitely going to get one of these. Why not? It's definitely worth a try. It's gotta be so much better than a "smartphone," because it's always been my contention that smartphones make for stupid people.

    That was pretty cool. We still have a landline but now it implemented via VoIP. I much prefer using a traditional phone then my cell. I'm old enough to remember when touchtone was a big deal and at least here in the US the phone company actually charged extra for it.

    This might sound crazy but I was born in 1995 I'm gonna be 28 this coming July and we never had a phone like that it was always wireless you could use it all around the house away from the wall

    Can we connect from the phone jack to the smartphone itself through the 3.5mm port with just an adapter?

    can you dial out with this?

    • @SatanicMac
      @SatanicMac  Před 3 měsíci

      Yep! Acts like any other phone. Your cellphone is just hosting the incoming/outgoing.
