Ramses II was one of the most formidable and illustrious pharaohs in ancient Egypt. Demonstrating his prowess as a builder, warrior, and monarch, he bequeathed a number of monuments and inscriptions that attest to his legacy and achievements. Furthermore, he was the most prosperous and prolonged pharaoh in history, and he was the most prolific in organizing Sed festivals. He exerted a tremendous impact on the course of world history

One of the greatest and most potent pharaohs in ancient Egypt was Ramses II. An accomplished constructor, fighter, and monarch, he left behind several monuments and inscriptions bearing witness to his accomplishments and legacy. In addition, he enjoyed a longer and more wealthy reign than any other pharaoh, and he observed more Sed festivals. He was an incredibly influential person in global history.

Ramses II's long life-he lived between 90 and 96 years-gave him ample opportunity to marry wives and beget children. He had over 200 wives and concubines and over 100 children, many of whom he outlived. His first and perhaps favorite wife was Nefertari, to whom he dedicated one of the temples at Abu Simbel.

Facts. Tut restored their religion to what it once was after his father turned everything upside down. But he didn’t have the chance to do much. Sure he was pharaoh for 10 years at least. But he was pharaoh since he was 8 or 9. So he was a place holder for most of that time until he was old enough to take charge. So it’s more like 2 or 3 years he was actually ruling

@@bennu547 Wrong. Tutankhamon restored the old religion in Egypt after his father turned everything upside down. Cleopatra is important in history because she challenged the Roman Empire. She wanted Alexandria to become the capital of the Empire, she financed Mark Anthony's military campaigns in order to get Anatolia and the Levant for themselves and wanted her firstborn son, Cesarion, to become the pharaoh of Egypt and the Emperor at the same time (since he was the only biological son of Julius Cesar). She kept Egypt independant for 20 years before it fell to the Romans.

The mummy was forensically tested in 1976 by Pierre-Fernand Ceccaldi, the chief forensic scientist at the Criminal Identification Laboratory of Paris. Ceccaldi observed that the mummy had slightly wavy, red hair; from this trait combined with cranial features, he concluded that Ramesses II was of a "Berber type" and hence - according to Ceccaldi's analysis - fair-skinned.However, Cheikh Anta Diop disputed the results of the study and argued that the structure of hair morphology cannot determine the ethnicity of a mummy and that a comparative study should have featured Nubians in Upper Egypt before a conclusive judgement was reached .In 1980, James Harris conducted a series of X-ray examinations on New Kingdom Pharaohs crania and skeletal remains, which included the mummified remains of Ramesses II. The analysis in general found strong similarities between the New Kingdom rulers of the 19 Dynasty and 20 Dynasty with Nubian samples. The authors also noted affinities with modern Mediterranean populations of Levantine origin. Harris and Wente suggested that this represented admixture as the Rammessides were of northern origin. To sum this up, we don't know his exact skin tone. But Ramesses chose to be drawn with a darker skin tone in all of his depictions. The perfect example for this is the depiction of his Compaign in Nubia, which feature black nubians and some white servants. Ramesses and his sons are drawn much darker than the white servants, almost as dark as the Nubians in fact.
