    The toilet is an early 2000s Eljer Patriot, I certainly wonder what it replaced. That’s a really fascinating bathroom, with the claw-foot tub. My father, along with his seven siblings, lived in a house built in 1916 in south Detroit, which had all the original plumbing, which was a claw-foot tub and a low-tank, beaded, forward trap toilet that never backed up.

    What ya want to do next time steve is only buy the longest supply lines that way you make a circle and its not putting pressure on those crimps , what I like to do on compression style valves is turn the 3/8 down and it's a lot easier to hook up , but to each there own, f n hate call backs.did ya take out that b s spiral gizmo they started putting in the bottom of the fludmasters , if not that a future call = slow water fill

      -income tax
      -property taxes
      -insurance
      -repairs
      -maintenance
      All the money made isn’t money actually being made if you know what I mean.
      If you have to repaint, re-carpet, or anything like that in between tenants it eats a lot of money. That doesn’t even begin to mention replacing hvac system or roofing.
      There can be money made from renting, but it’s not the gravy train many people think it is.
      If you are thinking about investing in rental property I personally think you are better off to invest in a beach or lake house instead of an apartment. People will pay several thousand dollars per week to rent a nice beach house.
      People renting apartments are living there full time which means they pay a lower rate compared to short term rental fees and that also means they have more time to live in and damage your property that you are going to have to clean and repair when they move out.

    • @AStanton1966
      @AStanton1966 Před 22 dny +1

      @@HERITAGEWV I get there's expenses involved. And you can get a low-life tenant who may trash the place and you have to evict. Personally, I would never own rental property. My brother rented his condo to a lady a on Section 8. The first thing she did was move her boy friend in.. Then he took a pair of speakers and spray-painted them in the living room--leaving over spray all over the place. The guy needing the repair here, could be making gross $162,000 a year. And that sounds pretty sweet. The state of Massachusetts where this video is shot, is also pretty slick. They allow tenants tax deductions for their rent. This way landlords have to report their rental income and make it jive with their tenants' rent who are getting the tax deductions. Beach property is very lucrative. Some of my neighbors have a son who's got a few places at the Jersey Shore. He knocks down well over $1,500 a week for each place.

    Oh boy that does make a lot of sense when you are the plumma and dealing with a customa with old and crusty parts plus various people putting their hands on the fill valve threads etc. Make it right or they will likely be calling for something else that "you touched it last". The parts are so cheap that it makes complete sense to take out the old and put back some known quality parts while the man is there...cheaper in the long run and its a done deal for many years.
