Late-night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, delivered the commencement speech to the Keck School of Medicine of USC on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Kimmel shared how his own family's recent experiences with the medical profession have affected him deeply.
I really had a wonderful time. Went for my moms best friend’s son who graduated. I really love jimmy and really loved his speech. Very happy his son got the help he was able to get and was so happy to see him. Thank you for the upload of the speech!
I watch this before every exam season to remind myself of the call, while many let it go to voicemail, we have answered the call. Fight on!
I was a nurse for 4 years and currently I'm a first year medical student... never in a million years did I think I would be doing medical school mostly online because of COVID-19. It can get pretty isolating and it comes with its own challenges. I watch this video before every exam and late at night when needing motivation, thanks for posting!

I do did think the frivolity of Jimmy Kimmel’s jokes was appreciated but I was expecting more depth into how medicine teaches us not to take life for granted.

Politics? where? If you are referring to affordable health care then 1) he is entitled to his beliefs and can share his ideas whenever he wants 2) affordable health care is common in most developed nations and is promoting healthier living for all individuals despite socio-economic status. This is called empathy and decency. What is wrong with embracing the idea of promoting universal healthcare? Is he not allowed to speak his mind? Where is freedom of speech? Is freedom of speech only valid when it suits your ideologies?
