    Imagine reviewing the shower head... and turning it on. Just a thought

    Can you do a video showing the shower heads turned on?

      They both put out the same spray. Just watch his previous video. You clearly heard the difference in sound in comparison.

    A comprehensive and detailed review of an awesome shower head. The design is so good that it deserves this kind of review. Many thanks, Brian.

      @@jc01057no unless you get the 2 way showerhead because it requires dripping for us plumbing code.

    I just got my new high Sierra shower head. It’s awesome! It’s actually solid metal and not aluminum anymore and the black finish is way better than it looks in the pic. Good job high Sierra.

    So funny how people are complaining about turning on the head; where as he is giving an even better analysis by giving you Hard data!

    Great, well-informed video but I might suggest editing it and inserting a segment with the head turned on.

    Sounds like an excellent product. My better half is concerned that it will leak do to this disclaimer found on Amazon and the High Sierra web site: “PLEASE NOTE: to comply with US plumbing codes, the fixed and handheld shower heads come equipped with an on/off “trickle” valve. When in the off position, the trickle valves will flow a minimal 0.05 gpm to prevent scalding.”Does the shower head leak?

    • @highsierrashowerheads
      @highsierrashowerheads Před 3 lety +1

      Good question, J C. Much as with other shower heads, when you shut off the water via your shower's lever or dial, the water flow through a High Sierra shower head is also completely shut off. What the trickle valve allows you to do is to press a button which nearly completely shuts down the flow of water, so you can temporarily cut the water flow while lathering or shaving, and then press that button again to conveniently resume the water flow at the same temperature.

    I have 1.10 GPM hot water discharge from my shower nipple. I measured it. So if I use the new 1.80 GPM, must the minimum discharge to the shower head be 1.8GPM to et 1.8GPM? My pressure is 120 PSI. I live in a high pressure area. What is the miniimum flow rate (GPM) for the 1.80 GPM new version to operate -- meaning what if my flow rate drops to 0.5GPM @ 120 PSI. The water here fluctuates between 0.5GPM to 1.1GPM due to rusted clogged pipes. Yikes!

    Possibly I got a lemon as when I try and lift the end it flops down. It feels to loose and when I hold the area that goes into the pipe to be level the head droops / drops. Anyone have this issue?

    The biggest problem with this showerhead is one that nobody ever talks about. This showerhead is really loud. Over time, it will cause hearing loss.

    • @phototristan
      @phototristan Před 3 lety +2

      It's not THAT loud, just a bit of a different white noise type sound. No way it can cause hearing loss.

  • @Kissypooh
    @Kissypooh Před 4 lety

    High Sierra low flow shower heads are very loud. They will cause hearing damage over time. They work as intended (they give you the feel of high flow), but the hearing loss over time is not worth the water cost savings.

    • @aronroberts
      @aronroberts Před 4 lety +1

      Here's a comparative example. IMO, they're not very loud, but their sound is definitely different than conventionally designed shower heads. czcams.com/video/4-bOuPNrnE8/video.html
      There's also a take on its sound at 6:40. He even did a frequency analysis!

    • @Beardman56
      @Beardman56 Před rokem

      100db is the recommended limit for 15 mins of exposure. These shower heads are well below that so will not cause hearing damage
