I would think standalone is better because with Townhouse you would hear them, their music, their cig smoke, smell their food. etc. into your room on the attached wall. But the homes do look nice. Enjoyed the video. I will check out the previous videos.
I missed this vlog somehow. I love new cleaning gadgets. One item you will find useful is a telescopic extension pole. You can get the changeable cleaning heads. For example there is one to clean the cobwebs 🕸️ out of your corners up high or down low. There’s a piece to dust the ceiling fan, one to dust the floors, one to change recess light bulbs one to dust up high one to dust the baseboards etc. The pole can be pricey but worth it. I can’t stand seeing cobwebs 😅 Anywho just make sure it can extend to reach those tall ceilings.

Great vlog but please decide for yourself, but allow me to share a brief bit of info 30 years ago I purchased. My home. Built from the ground up, I selected everything flooring, knobs, cabinets, appliances, etc it’s a single family tri level I can tell you that I love everything about it except the yard work , the outside maintenance period. Unless you want to do all of that get you a townhouse where the association handles all of outside via meeting meetings think before you hit that dotted. Yes you pay someone to do the yards, but I can tell you they aren’t all reliable. Take your time, ❤
