The hatred Cell showed tenshinhon was for stopping him from eating his sister. The response was a reference to the attack he used to do so.

The cat is Puar from the original Dragon Ball. Yamcha's sidekick. Puar and Oolong can both transform into objects/people/animals though I dont think it was ever used past the original series.
Puar did some transforming in the leadup to the Tournament of Power but thats about it as far as I recall

Well because they aren't so relevant in the story, they have more screentime in Dragon Ball, Oolong has a bit more in DBZ that's why it made it into abridged.
But if you take them away, you can tell it works anyways.

The lack of reaction from that interaction was the only hard thing to watch on their reactions this episode.
I'm sad now. The series is almost over. It really has been a treat going on this journey with you two. Your enthusiasm was infectious, and I felt like I was seeing it again for the first time, thank you. After the series, Team Four Star continued the story with original productions with new animations which you might enjoy.

My favorite line this episode (lol). It's even funnier, considering Freeza said something similar as well back on Namek.
Freeza's was in a VERY different context, though. Goku talked about visiting Hell and 2 German guys who tried to wrestle him as nonchalantly as you would a grocery store run. This naturally prompted Freeza's response, "Are you real?" And, frankly, I'd probably ask the same thing!

The reason Goku was so worried about Yamcha specifically was that Trunks told him that in his future Yamcha comitted suicide. Cell also knows this, and ya notice how he seems to make it a point to be nicer to Yamcha over the rest of them?
Yamcha for the Love of GOD don't thank him.
The Yellow Aura is generally used by Saiyans who have reached Super Saiyan status.
You'll notice that Cell also has a Yellow Aura, most likely due to his partial Saiyan genetics.
There's another specific Aura effect that you might notice later on in the show, but I won't mention anything about it here because spoilers!
I just love Jimmy Firecracker and Larry the cameraman. TFS didn't need to put so much effort into making a couple of side characters so memorable, but here we are.
The cat is Puar. Yamcha's traveling companion and number one fan. They got a lot more screen time in Dragonball. Puar and Oolong - the pig) have the power to shapeshift.
Trunks having the aura without being transformed is probably an animation error.
The helicopter was full of filler characters that were Satan's pupils in the anime. TeamFourStar said "nope" and blew them up asap.
Other people have mentioned Puar as the cat but I feel like you were talking about the "cat" on the chair which is actually a dog and is King Furry, the king of Earth in dbz. They mentioned it in earlier episodes but if you didn't actually watch the show you wouldn't have noticed it.

the destruction of the Y Network ship. In the original broadcast version of DBZ, the network added 3 extra characters for no reason and they were not in the Manga for DBZ. TFS wanted to be as close to the manga while abridging it as possible so they edited out all shots of the three others, adding the idea that Cell killed them in this version, it's small and relatively inconsequential in the grand scheme but it was a massive editing job they did to get those characters removed as any scene you see from here out with Mr Satan will have 2-3 extra characters missing from the footage as they weren't there in the Manga.

My favorite part is that Cell still has a personal grudge against Tenshin-han.
And of course it's great how he tease Vegeta.
But that you didn't pay attention to "I am the hape!" and Vegeta's reaction is hard to believe.
1. The "hate boner triangle" between Cell, Tien and Vegeta is arguibly *the best* change TFS made.
2. The funniest part about Hercule/Mr.Satan is that he *is* strong by *human standards* . Keep in mind, while the main cast was training for the Androids for 3 years he won 3 World Martial Arts Tournaments in a row. And shows ,again by human standards, some impressive strength and speed feats.
Its just that the main cast is *absolutely cracked* in terms of strength.
Yearly? The World Martial Arts Tournament was every 5 years (every 3 years after the 21st when Krillin / Goku first participated) during the Dragonball Saga. Goku won the 23rd, then there was an 11 year laps till Mr. Satan participated in the 24th. I guess the final between Goku and Piccolo was intense enough, although Tien Shinhan basically vaporized the stage during the 22th, but Piccolo basically flattened the entire island.
I really feel like someone should mention that Goku was the previous world martial arts tournament.
Now that you guys have seen Mr Satan in action you could watch his Death Battle against Dan Hibiki for extra laughs

Fun fact: While Hercule Satan is mostly played for laughs when compared to pretty much the rest of Dragon Ball’s major characters, he is still stronger than the average person. Possibly the strongest a human can be without using ki to enhance his abilities.
During his debut, Mr. Satan pulled 4 entire buses attached to his back. All at once. That’s anywhere between 52 to 80 tons. Even the lowest at 52 tons equates to about 104,000 pounds. It’s no wonder that his title of “World’s Martial Arts Champion” is legit.
Didn't Gohan say that Videl was stronger than him? Or was that only after he trained her?
@@jamesalexander5559 It might’ve been after Videl learned how to use ki that she became stronger than Hercule. But it’s been a long time since i’ve seen the Buu Saga, so I could be wrong.
Tambourine is actually a reference to back when Piccolo was Demon King Piccolo in the original Dragonball series and sired spawn to act as his minions and shock troops. One of them killed Krillin when he and Goku were adolescents. The demons were all named after musical instruments and the one that killed Krillin was named Tambourine.
i love the lines that throwback to the vs series like "I should not have made this an open invite" and "Who is dumb enough to fight?"

Android 16 still wants to murder Goku, but you're right when you said that they modified him. Take into account that he said he felt 10kg lighter, that's foreshadowing something.
For the record "Mr. Satan" is actually REALLY strong for a average human, but we aren't really dealing with average humans and he's kinda in denial about the existence of Ki

Yup, he's really strong for a normal human. Just too bad that's like being the strongest ant in the WWE. Out of all the fighters shown in the abridge, the only one he might be stronger than is Chichi, and that's only a MIGHT.

Yes the Gold aura around them is there Super Saiyan aura, they don't have to transform to have the gold aura. Also Vegeta being silent was a shocking moment for us when we watched the original show too. Your reactions to it was so nostalgic, again of me and my older brothers watching dbz ☺. Cell put fear into Vegeta, Cell also having Freiza's dna and Saiyan dna and that being 20x more powerful in Cell. Vegeta felt all his energy and how limitless it was. Vegeta knew that Cell was holding back when they fought yet Cell defeated him like a child. Vegeta was also regretting a little, letting him absorb 18 and the fact that Cell barely touched Vegeta in their fight, i think that worried Vegeta a lot. We never saw him like this.

Which is impressive. Satan is an actual monster for a normal human without Ki control.
He is able to break rocks pretty easily, dodge bullets (yes he actually dodges bullets) and just survives a lot of absurd shait for a normal person(it's played for laughs, but not inconsistent)
To be fair, Goku is genuuinely concerned for Yamcha, remember what Trunks told him about how he died in Future Trunks' timeline.
Goku is invested in keeping Yamcha safe and alive now.
It's such a treat to watch people get into dbz for the first time. Through dbz abridged no less.

The aura thing was a mistake on the animators part. The only ones who should have had the yellow were indeed goku and gohan since like you said they were the only super saiyans there. Vegeta has a blue one that he's kept since Namek in his base form. Everybody else has the white aura when they power up
Fun fact, the people in the helicopter were filler characters who fight cell but still live. TFS decided to just kill them off to skip that and then edited them out from every scene they're in from then onwards.

Puar is a shapeshifting cat, ex-desert bandit, and "sidekick" of Yamcha. Puar used to see lots of screen time in the original Dragon Ball (till near the end when Yamcha was also side lined). And "Tambourine" was a demon-namekian that killed Krillen back during Dragon Ball *snapped his neck*.
Bethany singing "a super saiyan!" really made me smile. She really loved the episode where Gohan turns super saiyan.
Oh yes, thats worth pointing out. Cell Tamborined Kururin, thats a Reference. Kuririns first Death in OG Dragonball was against Piccolos Minion Tamborin.

17:05 The singing thing is kind of a running gag with TFS. When a villain starts their fight with the heroes (outside of Vegeta) they typically sing a song. In the matter of Android 16, it was his want to start a fight with Goku, but then knowing that if he did Cell wins -- and he hates Cell more than he hates Goku right now.
The blue humanoid dog is Koku-Ō, or King Furry, he's the King of the World, introduced in the original DB, it used to b very common to have humanoid animals on the Classic Dragon Ball, since most of it was based on Sun Wukong, the Monkey King (that's where Son Goku name comes from) a Japanese story full of magical creatures, very weird, but that's the weird wolrd they live in! XD

Satan in the Abridged literally wasn't changed from the show. He's exactly like this. TBH I never really liked his inclusion in the original show, but he did have daughter who had a fun arc with Gohan. For that, it was worth it as they are the 2nd best healthy couple in the franchise.
I always loved the callback to Vegeta’s old line ‘I am the hype!’ by having Mr. Satan say it and Vegeta yell out to Cell to kill him since he wants to not have anything in common with him 😂
Yeah, usually when Saiyans unlock Super Saiyan their ki becomes yellow, but it usually only appears yellow when they’re transformed so that was probably an accident on animating it.
Also 16 still wants to kill Goku, he even asked Goku if he could kill him after the song ended.

The Grand Roast of Mister Satan is one my favorite moments in the entire series. It is, for lack of a better word, “Perfect”.
11:09 One of Team Four Star’s biggest deviations from canon: actually KILLING these guys. In canon, they try fighting Cell first. He just flexes his aura and KO’s them all without actually touching them.
Also in canon, Hercule Satan actually DOES land a few hits on Cell before The Slap. They don’t do 💩, of course.
Cell calling Mr. Satan's daughter "that poor orphan" was the deepest cut because he was sincere about it.
The people in the helicopter were actually Mr. Satan's trainees that fought Cell before Satan did. They didn't get killed at all, just knocked out of the ring like the rules of regular tournament. They were there for the rest of the fight with Mr. Satan and crew.
If you meant the blue dog in a suit sitting in a big room with 2 guards that's the king of the world. Yes, there is a king of the world and yes, he is a blue cat/dog thing in a suit.
He will in the end , Vegeta will step up in a big way, not responsible for the win but he will be the MVP of battle.

The people that Cell killed in this episode were filler characters that didn't exist in the manga. And since DBZA follows the events of the manga and not the anime moments (that's why the fights are so short) they cut them.
The floating blue cat at the start is Puar - he's always around but TFS rarely has him speak. He's actually Yamcha's best friend and roommate! But he doesn't get to do a lot in the Z era.
Cell might be the only person who cares for Yamcha in this parody lol
Mr Satan / Hercule , is actually "incredibly" strong. He's faster than the eye can see, can punch through solid steel, and is a legitimate World Martial Arts Champion (A very serious tournament, it used to be Goku's goal to win it.)
But he's never been trained to manipulate Ki. He can't sense energy, can't fly, can't shoot lasers, but he's still one of the strongest human beings in the world. Think about it like this, if he were in, a different story, he could realistically have been the hero.
Mr.Satan, the Abridged series stops before the last arc, but Mr.Satan will keep appearing and being the most outmatched guy ever...but unlike this arc, he actually shockingly manages to help and save the world...yes, really, even Goku was shocked about that one since in canon he had a low opinion of him like everyone else.
His daughter also becomes an important character, also being brash herself and putting herself in fights, unlike her father, she does get training in how to use energy and how to fly, hence why they went to the effort of mentioning her existence.
It is kind of sweet that Goku is concerned about Yamcha after what happened to him in Trunks' timeline.
Yeah like how he made it a point to tell Yamcha that he was his friend after hearing about what happened
To be fair, Yamcha is one of Goku's oldest friends besides Bulma and Oolong. He also is one of the few in the line up who has beaten Goku in a 1v1 fight. Not a fair one as Goku was hungry, but he still did win
I think Goku being one of the few to care about him passed on to Cell because Cell is very friendly and cares about Yamcha in these last few episodes

What kind of stuff did that dastardly Cell put on the ring floor to make the Champ slip that badly when going for the Satan Punch?
About the color of their aura, yeah it's because they're a super saiyan. Once they power down to non-super saiyan it becomes white again.
It's not always consistent though, sometimes their aura is still yellow in base form. Fans usually explain it as them using some of their super saiyan power without fully transforming.
I just remembered, there's a video you should watch. It's called: TeamFourStar in DB Kai - Mr. Satan vs. Cell: The Movie! (Deleted Scene)
For context: DBZ Kai is an official re-dub of DBZ that cut out most of the filler. TFS was invited to voice an in-universe movie based on the Cell Games (don't worry, there's no -major- spoilers). Unfortunately, most of their lines were cut from the final version, but the full un-cut version leaked online, and it's hilarious. It's like watching the DBZ cast react to DBZA

Mr. Satan actually contributed a lot to this arc if you really think about it. I mean, Cell needed to warm up the back of his hand with someone...

the golden aura, the yellow while flying just means they are tapping into super saiyan energy to fly faster.
I think it's worth noting that Bulma didn't remove any programming from Android 16. He's a sentient android, just like Androids 17 and 18, and can make his own decisions. It was ultimately his decision not to kill Goku, which was driven by the love he had discovered for life on Earth.

The floating, talking blue cat is named Puar, and is the least important member of the cast. That includes Launch, Turtle and Oolong. She was with Yamcha since his "desert vagabond" days.
In the actual DBZ Show, those three people in the helicopter each fought Cell, then Satan, and FINALLY we get to see Goku fight. It takes an episode for each of them.

The one sitting in a chair is not a cat, its an anthropomorfic Dog and his name is King Furry, he is the King of Earth. Yes, the King of the Entire Planet.
The one floating is puar and he is Yamcha's sidekick and well, he has not made many appearances because he doesnt do that much in Dragon ball Z.
Just like roshi bulma and the others who are always hanging at Kamehouse, Puar had a bigger role in the OG Dragon Ball, but now he sort of just stay at home and watch the fights through magic balls or TV with the others.
I just think it is progressive.

But I mean, to be honest, I dont think there is much discrimination against animal people in the Dragon Ball world.
Also there is a chance that King Furry wasnt actually elected. Bulma mentioned in OG dragon ball that the last person that used the dragon balls (before the story) to become a great king. There are not many kings in the world of dragon ball.
Maybe it was King Furry who managed to get the dragon balls without a radar and secure his position as King of the World to unite a broken Earth after nearly 300 years of Chaos because of King Piccolo.
Cell one-shotting Mr. Satan was how it actually went down in the Manga and Anime.
Without spoiling anything, I just want to tell you guys that there's a post credit scene for Episode 60 Part 3.

"Tambourine-ed" is a reference to Piccolo's older brother who killed Krillin.
Considering how many people Cell's absorbed, _atleast a few of them_ had to have been there for various parts of Hercule's backstory.
...He was probably exactly right about him.
This may be a long one, so bare with me.
1. The yellow glow you were talking about, I believe it was a mistake from the artist. You have to be in Super Saiyan form to have that yellow glow
2. Krillin is considered to be the strongest human. Gohan and Tien are hybrids. Gohan is half Saiyan and half human, and Tien is half human and half three eye race. So between Krillin and Yamcha, Krillin is far stronger than Yamcha.
3. Hercule is a really good fighter, but he believes his own hype. Also, that plane that cell blew up had Hercule students in. But in the original Cell, blew up a news helicopter.
4. Hercule students did fight Cell before Hercule and Cell beat them both without raising his hands. Literally.
5. In the original, Vegeta was quiet because he realized how strong Cell was, and he didn't want to be cocky like he was before. Also, Vegeta was the first one to figure out what Goku plan was, but he didn't say anything
6. When Hercule said, " I am the hype," that was the same thing Vegeta said after Piccolo fought Cell. So that's why Vegeta said to kill him

Trunks did not have the yellow aura. You probably thought that because he was behind Goku.
Also, 16 did ask at the end if he could kill Goku, so that's obviously still in him.
I don't care how big your ego is. When a guy breaks your spine and nearly kills you after laughing off your strongest attack. It's gonna humble you a little bit. That's what's happening to Vegeta. He got himself a slice of humble pie. I think in the series he gave up fighting for a bit or at least in a movie I think that was a subplot or something. I could be wrong.
The floating cat is Puar, Yamcha's cat, and one of the original Dragonball characters from the very first story arc. He and Oolong (the pigman) went to shapechanging school together, but their abilities are never used in DBZ as they've been pushed into background roles.

The funny thing to me is Mr satan is the legitimate strongest non-ki user on the planet. Everyone outside the main cast he is the strongest. So that cell can literally just nonchalantly test him into a plateau is kind of scary ngl

The funny thing about Mr. Satan is that he isn't weak! By human standards, Mr Satan IS really strong. The man can punch through trucks! He just knows he can't take the people Goku and friends fight, but is in too deep with his career and fans to just admit he can't win.

3:12 Tambourine was another 'child' of King Piccolo, the father of this Piccolo. He killed Krillin in the first Dragon Ball series. Goku killed him later and Yajirobe ate the body.

In the original show, I think Dr. Gero's androids had a lot more autonomy than 16 is depicted with here. When 16 and Goku finally meet in the show, 16 acknowledges his purpose is to kill Goku, but he's chosen to put that aside in the face of defeating Cell because his love for nature, wish to save the Earth, and desire to avenge 17 and 18 overrides his desire to fight Goku.
So yeah, Hercule Satan, the champion of many World Martial Arts Tournaments, got slapped by Perfect Cell... 😆
