@@NinJa-qr1sp oh yeah, he was but not during this run in the 90’s. It was the more modern AOA comics run you’re thinking of, I believe.
@@Xmanny87 correct. He was one of the only X-men in the AoA timeline to survive & remain in that timeline. In the Uncanny X-force series by Remender he later betrayed his friends & sided with the Dark Beast. Nightcrawler took him out. That was a great series.
My favorite marvel legends figure
Nice figure with no ice effect so am gonna get blue marvel and use his effect for now.
Iceman is my favorite mutant and AoA is my favorite version as well.
I lazily dry brushed white over mine and it really shows just how amazing this new sculpt really is.
Yeah, it definitely would’ve been highlighted more with some extra airbrushing.

This is the best version of iceman and hasbro did a great job on it!! Love hoe this figure turned out. I agree they need to make ice effects or a better slide effect for him. Enjoyed the extra pics at the end and great review bro!!
Highly agree man. It always makes me happy to hear when people enjoy my photos and videos. I put a lot of hard work and effort into them.
I'm using the ice slide from the last Toy Biz Iceman. It fits pretty well if you position it right.

I got this figure last year!!! So awesome, perhaps the best version of Iceman!!!! Only, I’m makin’ my own X-Men story and I have this form when he’s been brainwashed by someone very ‘sinister’!

I had that same Iceman growing up as well. That thing was jacked.
Hell yeah it was. It was a beast.
I use the Iceman Sentinel base in a lot of my setups and ive been preaching for a deluxe Iceman with a modular ice slide and effects
That is something that would be awesome. I still used that Sentinel base too for my iceman on my display.
As cool as he looks the clear plastic scares the literal Shit out of me for fear it will break other than that he looks amazing
I don’t have that fear as I mentioned in the video where it feels so much stronger and durable. But I understand where you are coming from.

This and Kitty are the ones I'm least excited for but the pure joy this figure gave you made me appreciate it a lil more now, I only thing about this ice man is his size, I thought once he maxed out he was bigger in the comics but like you said its different when you have him in hand, I'm hoping for a AOA Bishop, nightcrawler, and obviously the cajun, but we need more villains tho, and AOA has a bunch still so who do you think will be next? I think SINISTER
Sinister is a must. Gambit, Nightcrawler, Bishop, Quicksilver, Storm, Abyss maybe. Holocaust upgrade. I can see Jubilee and a Strong Guy BAF as well to start rounding out the externals.
Do you still have your boxes for your Icemen? There's a printed number on the back that shows the batch number for the run. I'm wondering if the frosted Iceman has a higher or lower batch number; that should tell you which was made first if the numbers are different. It's a five digit number located above the pictures of the figures in the wave.

Great looking figure. The new bulkier torso looks great. The frosty effect makes it pop.
Only slight gripe is the blue is maybe a shade dark. Looks a little bit deep water rather than ice cold.
Were those Storm Collectibles SubZero accessories on the pictures?

I can't wait to get this wave. IMO he is my least desired as I've been using the Jugg wave as my AoA Iceman and I still feel Hasbro has not given us a great Iceman. The sculpt looks spot on but he seems way too blue.
I honestly like that he’s so blue as it reminds me of the Toybiz AOA Iceman figure I had when I was a kid.

So, I'll start with this...
I LIKE the sculpting and figure mold itself, AND I love that it's NOT a stupid gummy@$$ mess... He's pretty cool looking, sculpt-wise, no doubt about it.
However... I am NOT an AoA fan at all. I pretty much hate all the designs, aside from a select few here and there, and especially despise Sugarman (largely because he's a pedo character, and I will NEVER support that aspect...). Iceman was one of the few designs that I felt was a logical, and LONG overdue, evolution of the character... I also enjoyed Sunfire, Kitty, Dark Beast, & Blink... Maybe a few others that escape me right now, but VERY few.
Anyway, my reasons for hating almost the entirety of AoA, are probably as vast as yours are for liking it, so I won't bother with all of that, lol. 😅
As for this figure, YES, LIKE the sculpt and paint apps, but he's TOO blue...!!! He looks more like the "Ice Cool Aquavelva Man" than Iceman... I would love this version IF he looked more like ICE than aftershave.😁😁😁
We definitely NEED ice effects, and more, BETTER fire & energy effects/blasts too.
That said, I may decide to get this figure if he looks decent in hand and can MAYBE be "de-blued" or something... JUST because of THIS review. 😉

Always respect what you do here, my main Manny! I know you put a lot of effort and energy into every review and I appreciate that, because it shows that you care about what you're doing.
Like I've said before, even if you're reviewing a figure of a character I may hate, I enjoy the review because of what you do... The AoA figures, for example, I'm not a fan of, BUT I'm enjoying these reviews. I'm planning to pick up the Rogue and Kitty (×2) IF I can find them, because I can use them for customs I'm planning, and I MAY even get an Iceblueaquavelvaman, just because of YOUR review, even though I had planned to pass on him.
I'm hoping for a depowered X-Factor version of Bobby Drake Iceman along WITH an X-Factor Jean Grey in her red & big gold "X" costume, to finish THAT team up finally... (Since we ALREADY have Beast, Cyclops, Iceman, who I bought a custom "power inhibitor" belt for, and Archangel... Though I'd really like an Angel figure in his red/blue & white pre-Archangel costume too.)
Anyway, I'm usually always in complete agreeance with you on everything you review, and even when I may not be, I appreciate what you do, and STILL enjoy every review! I'm looking forward to the Sabertooth review coming next. (I DID pick up a Wild Child that was reduced down, because I wanted to paint him purple for my Alpha Flight Team, and I wanted the chain to possibly use with Ghostrider or something... Maybe the upcoming Lobo figure, IF I can even find one...)
