- Sean is my best friend. He's been talking about wanting an R34 RB26 for years now, but that he would go RB25 because he can't afford otherwise. He's been such a good friend to me that I wanted to surprise him. David helped me source the perfect RB26/ CD08 for him. Sean is a little shy, but seeing his reaction was priceless.

What is Ecrew? When I had to uproot and move to Indiana, there was a car community called Bcrew (B for Bloomington, Indiana). These guys became my family. Instead of partying on the weekends, I was working on cars- and I loved it. Since starting youtube, I have started what I call Ecrew. It's not supposed to be some childish "Logang squad." My build? Simply "restoring" a 350z to FRIGGIN STOCK after I bought her from some people that thought autozone fart cans, among other such inhumane abuse, should be done to cars. And yes. You seem an incredible friend :D Im sure Sean is ecstatic, even if he is shy on camera. ❤

Don't feel bad brother, it took me a lot of searching and missing out on solid deals, but I managed to find one of my dream cars as my first project car this year... I'm almost 21, but I thank my dad all the time for not letting me buy shitboxes before this deal came along. You just gotta keep moving forward and something will come along!

Cool project, I have an 88 K5 4wd, with a 6" lift and 35" tires, but unfortunately I took the quick and less expensive option of a new GM 5.7 tbi crate engine when the original one gave up. I wish I had done an LS. My daily driver is a 79 C20 with a 406 sbc that makes around double the power of the engine in the K5, but if I was to do it again, it would get an LS.

It's always more of one thing or another thing with an LS project. You break the original trans, then upgrade, break the 10 bolt rear, now I'm putting together a 14 bolt with disc brakes, next thing I know I am pullin it all apart to paint and fix rusty spots and then I had to buy a house to have more garage space to work on stuff in my own driveway and garage without listening to someone piss and moan about not leaving my junker out in the parking lot, lol.... Amazing how an LS swap can end up costing a couple hundred thousand....
Yes, more power will just find you the next weakest link. My K5 still has the 10 bolt, but with an lsd. I am not into major off roading and bought it for snowboarding and cruising forest roads. My 79 c20 has the original 14bff (open diff.) and I did a disc brake swap in 2003, along with a gear vendors overdrive. The TH400 was really beefed up, but that 406 sbc still cooked 2nd gear. Should have put a temp gauge on the trans sooner and the shop should have recommended a bigger cooler and should have done the 4l80E disc and clutch pack in it, like they do for others. They didn't, even though I told them to do all they could to it, as I tow a trailer that weighs 8500 pounds and drive it like a sports car. Cars/trucks are a good reason to buy more tools, and even a house with a bigger garage. LOL. After my dirt bike, I got a VW dune buggy. 4 cylinders, air cooled, has to be cheaper to work on. After all, there is no body, just a frame, engine, and seats. Wrong.......you can blow money quickly on VW stuff as well.
I think "a couple hundred thousand" is a bit of an exaggeration. In no way can I even comprehend 200k would do for a 80's g body.

currently working on fixing my gen 2 hemi dodge ram 2500 with a 5 speed, then will be playing around with my new (to me) srt10 ram looking to do full exhaust, some other minor upgrades and who knows maybe some boost on both.

1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula, 350 engine and the garbage 700r4 transmission.
I did that swamp from the 305 TBI on a 91 once. We did the 383 stroker, used the moser 10 bolt rear end and a tremec T56, with QA1 shock/struts. Had one hell of a time getting that thing to hook. That F-body can hold major power if done right. Nice!!
I already had a garage swap the 305 TBI to a 350 but they said I had a bad sensor and it would be better to swap it to a carb setup, so they did. But, I kept getting screwed over with the 700r4, decided I'll do it myself now even if it takes me years, as the car has been sitting for years anyway! Maybe I'll learn something. My final plan is to swap the carb for a TPI setup, but that's a long way to go from here!
I agree the Carb is a better way to go as TBI was a goodish solution but not as good as direct injection. Good on learning your self that is always a great thing. The F-body forms are a great place with a lot of info from others builds! Good Luck!
Zero Cool think your a bit confused as he said he wanted to swap out the carburetor for a TPI setup.....
No I read it correctly "already had a garage swap the 305 TBI to a 350 but they said I had a bad sensor and it would be better to swap it to a carb setup" TBI is throttle body injection, (aka fishbowl injection) this is not TPI or Mulit Port. The older Fbody's use this setup.
So fortunate to have such a thoughtful and caring friend .I think Shawn would had done the same .

I am currently building a 2004 Acura rsx that I just bought with 58976 original km. I am a really good fabricator that's my trade and I'm going to fabricate as much of the build as possible including my turbo, relocating brackets, strut bars etc. Great videos look forward to seeing more, wish I lived closer to be part of your crew.

We think of "motorcycles" starting on or around HarleyDavidson times, .. they were way before that. There was allot of electric vehicles at that time also. Just not that great.
