I worked on MNIE for a couple years. Jason is a very friendly and kind person. I did notice he always had an AD or handler next to him. Lee suffers from a form of social anxiety according to the 2nd AD, but it didn't see so to me. Lee and Ethan both had matching french fry oil powered Mercedes-Benz.

Back when I was a teen, Lee and a skate team came to our little podunk town and did a skate demo. He was a good guy - helping kids learn tricks and interacting with us.
Jason Lee lived in my city in Texas up until about a year ago. He still comes around every now and again. He had art showcase for his own photography here in town. He was there apparently. I missed it, though. Edit: Yeah! He says it in the video. Denton, Texas is the place. I'm not aware of him still being here, but Denton is a cool place. Usually referred to as a "hipster" town for the most part, but less stereotypical I would say. It's a really artsy place nonetheless.
Growing up a skater Jason Lee's style in my opinion was the raddest, I'd even compare to the father's of street skating, Tommy Guerrero and Natas Kaupas; so he was a very influential figure. Seeing how popular Stereo Skateboards have become in younger generations, makes me so happy to see him back in skateboarding after acting.
I watch very little TV, almost no movies, but I did watch every episode of My Name is Earl. This show is really all I know him for, but to see him in a more regular look is quite amazing in contrast. I didn't expect him to be such a cool guy lol.

I watch very little TV, almost no movies, but I did watch every episode of My Name is Earl. This show is really all I know him for, but to see him in a more regular look is quite amazing in contrast. I didn't expect him to be such a cool guy lol.
And before "My Name is Earl", let's not forget him as Jeff Bebe, the lead singer of Stillwater in "Almost Famous". He was dynamite in that role.
