I'll be honest. I knew her name but never heard her music til I went to the chili peppers concert about a week ago. Halfway into the first song my son and I looked at each other and smiled, immediately both started adding her songs to our respective libraries then enjoyed the show. 2 new fans!!!

She is A (not THE) great-great granddaughter (not great-granddaughter) of Isidor and Ida Straus (not "Strauss"). The couple have many, many great-great grandchildren. They had 6 children who lived to adulthood, all of whom married & had at least 3 kids. So, more than 18 grandchildren, double that number of great-grandchildren, and keep going from there. The extended Straus family is huge (I'm not famous and I'm not active on socials, but I am Isidor & Ida's great grandson. Mikaela is my 2nd cousin once removed - her father, who I've never met, is my second cousin
