Thankyou very much Sir..Tata Safari is a great car but if u always give it to service centers,its like servicing an elephant.Your videos Sir make life easy and its a great satisfaction.Normally an Oil change,air filter cleaning,oil filter change and diesel filter change with greasing etc costs at showroom min rs 12500 ,plus labour will come another 3-4 k.If u ask them to put fully synthetic oil,they say oil cost itself is arround 8-9k..After seeing your videos,i serviced the car myself .Changed oil(Mobil 3000 5w40 fully synthetic ,bought 8 liters (4 l pack each (rs1600+1600) for total 8 liters rs 3200( amazon) and put 7.5 liters.I bought mahale original air filter for rs 450 and changed it,bought tata oil filter for rs 378 and changed that too.Bought diesel filter rs 1550( tvs lucas tata original) changed that as old diesel filter ran for 20k and since my car is 10 yrs old,i change diesel filter at 15k to protect injectors and engine.Cleaned the maf sensors with ethanol and added 200ml diesel engine oil additive (liqui moly rs 328) and diesel additive( liqui moly rs 280), lubricated all moving parts,bought original tvd grilling front brake pads(2 set 4 peicss) for rs 2300( show room charge rs 6000 for front brake pad change including labour charges), lubricared the gear shifter,topped up coolant(100ml), washed and waxed car and interior myself .Got all tools from local workshop for rs 300 rent in the evening for 12 hrs. Total cost approx is rs 9500,labour free..same work at tata workshop,their estimate was 30k..By seeing u r videos,i saved rs 20k Sir.Thankyou very much.You have my subscription for life and i will foreward and share all your videos.Jai yourDIYneeds Jai Hind.

And one more thing Sir,as u said in the end of the video,the old gear oil was dirty and it has not been changed for 7 yrs .Normally,the authorised service centers must check them and replace the gear oil,transfercase oil and differential oil,but they never do it unless u specifically tell them to do it,and most of the owners of tata safari dont even know such oils must be changed.The only oil change they know is engine oil change.Your video is a proof that even the authorised service centers dont look into these things and are certainly pathetic.

Previously I was using Castrol's 80w90 after which the gear shifting became much harder than before. Recommended was 75w85 which I believe is very hard to find in Kolkata. Luckily I found it online and now using the same. The shifts became butter smooth as before.
Hi, a few months ago I asked you regarding the jerk of my vehicle at 1500 rpm and now turbo is vomiting oil. After the lockdown, I'm going to replace it.
And also I am planning to increase the horsepower from 140 - 170bhp, what do you suggested
Oil from turbo , if its not much than its normal and may have come from CCV but its too much then maybe the turbo journal bearing are gone .
Bumping up the power can be done through a remap , but choose the tuner wisely

Dear bro 10 दिनों से मेरी सफारी dicor 2.2 में accelerator में issue आ रहा है जैसे कि मैं कही जा रहा हु तो 1 मिनट के लिए accelrator काम करना बंद कर देता है और पिक अप पूरा down हो जाता है एयर एक मिनट के बाद सही हो जाता है और फिर से down, और कार को बन्द कर के स्टार्ट करता हु तो सही हो जाता है और 10 मिनट के बाद फिर डाउन और अगर न्यूटल में हो कार तो थोड़ी देर बाद rpm 2 तक चला जाता है और 1 मिनट के बाद सही हो जाता है फिर ऐसे ही होता रहता है एयर अगर मैं ब्रेक press करू तो 1 rpm तक ही रहता है जब तक कि ब्रेक को release ना कर दु, आज मैंने कार स्कैनिंग भी करवाई check इंजन हटने के बाद सही चल रही थी मगर 30 मिनट्स के बाद जैसे ही चेक इंजन आया तो pick up फिर से down हो गया और same paroblem आ रही है, please bro बताये की किस चीज़ की वजह से ये problem आ रही है

Can any one solve my gear lever which problem ۔actually my gear shifter was broken and it damage all the joint cross and bracket ۔i replaced it wijth new joint cross and bearings all tha new set of axle ۔ and gear shifter was not available in second hand market so we actually welded with aluminium welding and my mechanic refitted ۔ but problem is that when iam shifting second gear the gear lever is going very backside and remaining third fourth fifth are shifting smooth but when I am shifting to reverse gear۔ the gear rod is coming again very backside pls help me why it is happening ۔ although my mechanic is a very experienced and he is telling me that it's the correct setting only but I remember that this much back the gear rod never comes while shifting to second gear ۔
Sir its the error on the welding front , the welding was supposed to be done at a little lower lever where it is done , its currently a little upwards that's why the second and fifth gear is going way back
Sir,is it normal when little oil is there ,in the turbocharger to intercooler red hose.The spot where turbo to intercooler hose has been clamped,that area has little oil(3-5drops),i tightned the clamp and it stopped.But is it normal to have little oil in turbo to intercooler hose pipe.its been 6 months since i changed oil(ran 3000km),and lost arround 250-300ml oil till now.
Yes sir its normal , as the oil heats up in crankcase it evaporates and those vapours of oil gets re-circulated in the intake through a CCV ( crankcase ventilation valve) then those vapours of oil gets mixed with cold air in intake and condensate to oil again
Thats the reason why you can see oil in intake track of the vehicle's engine

Sir it's really hard to look for signals of gear and differential oil .
They just need to get changed around 70-80k kms for best lubrication
So if your car is near 70 or 80k kms
Just change them

No sir it requires , ATF ( ATF-A ) and as far as i remember quantity is close to 1.1-1.2Ltrs
Some people use gear oil , but I don't think it's the best option to do .
