Great video. That rear nut is tough but otherwise just need to be patient and it lines up easily. Great mod. I am 6'2" and the middle hold worked for me. Game changer.
Thank you!
The trick for doing this install is when you put the plate with the bolts through the holes, wedge a shop towel behind it to keep it in place as you put the pedal assembly over the bolts.
I did this with my install and it made the process way easier.
Great idea!
Thanks for the tip!!! I was also wishing we had a little clamp.
After an hour trying, I came back and read the comments, yours was just what I needed.
Love your DIY vids Kim…
You always do a great job being genuine, knowledgeable and “real world”.
Also props to the MORE products as I have both driver and passenger dead pedals on my JK.
Love and balance for both sides 👍🏼
@@1EddieMan thank you! And that’s an interesting idea to put one on the passenger side! I never would have thought of that.
@@1EddieMan I never thought about a passenger dead pedal…. 🤔 Are there two on the passenger side?
Thanks, @eddie man
Preach! I couldn't believe my jeep didn't have one. Thanks for the video
Great video. This was one of the first mods I did to mine, my wife's, and my dad's jeeps. I went with the Hooke Road ones, which mount up a little differently, but this should have been a standard feature for any automatic transmission JL from the factory. If you drive any longer than a half hour, your left ankle will thank you.
Thanks Alex! We appreciate you watching our vids! We agree, they should have put a dead pedal in every Auto JEEP.
Yes agree!!!
Great video Kim! I definitely need one of those for my gladiator because the lack of dead pedal is definitely super uncomfortable with heels on!
Exactly, yes it can be done, but why not have a dead pedal? Thanks for watching!!!
From a female’s perspective, I just want to say that you have great taste and shoes, girly!! ❤👍🏽
FYI, they don't work on '24s. They don't have any holes in that support bracket (as seen at 4:40)
Nice step by step demo on the install. I was wondering if you are still using the middle slot on the dead pedal? I've read from others the front slot (nearest the seat) is what seems to work best for folks 5'9" or below.
We never changed it, but I agree the closer spot would be better
Hi I want one for my wrangler. Lol .your so right about not have one there. I often thought about that but .I was injoying my jeeps .lol .I added you on my phone. Thanks .k
Great video. Thanks for the help!
Just half way installed mine. I lost a nut. But I’m 5-10 and installed to middle and to far. So get new nut then relocate to front
Oh that sucks about the nut! If you have an extension magnet you may be able to locate it. We are also going to switch ours to the front location. The middle is just a little too far
@@shockerracing oh my god don’t do the holes in the back do the holes to the front and then line up to front position closet to you. Try that then thank me. Think they said wrong directios
Great video Kim!
Thanks Josh!
Thanks for watching Josh!!!
The reason why Jeep doesn't install a dead pedal is because this is the space the clutch fills on a Jeep with a manual transmission. However, I do agree with you that Jeep should have a fix for this from the factory. So it's a good thing you didn't get a Jeep with a manual transmission. I guess you could rest your foot against the clutch pedal if you did have a manual.
All of our manual cars have always had a spot to put your foot so that you don’t rest your foot on the clutch.
@@shockerracing I agree, but apparently not in Jeeps. My Challenger Scat Pack is a manual and has a dead pedal as well. But if you look at the pedals on a Jeep with a manual, there's no room for a dead pedal with the clutch pedal taking up space. So in all of Jeeps infinite engineering wisdom, they just don't care enough to engineer a fix for this issue with the automatic transmissions, lol. Thankfully there's after market companies picking up Jeeps' slack.
Yeah I wish in the manual. I have to rest my foot under the clutch pedal on long trips. Not the best.
Will this fit to Sahara 4xe?
What’s your height Kim? I am about to install one and I just need a reference on how close I should install the pedal on the side bracket. Thanks!
Kim is 5’6” and I’m 5’10” and we both would prefer the bracket in the closest setting. We have it in the middle setting and it’s a little too far away.
@@shockerracing thanks for the quick reply! I am 5’8”. Your input will save me a ton of time. Thanks guys!!!
@@randya8856 always glad to help! Let us know what you think when you get it installed.
What did you use to tighten the bolts?
kim is a smoke show. good lord
🤣🤣👍🏻thanks for watching!
This was 11min of wasted video. Seriously, if a guy was doing this install, no one would watch it. Oh and FYI, we do have "dead pedals" it's called a clutch or having the doors off with a peg. Sigh.
You do realize there is a very large community of female Jeepers that enjoy seeing other female Jeepers learn and work on their own Jeeps.
Don't be a tool 😒 some of us live in northern states where year round doorless isn't practical.
Hey John R.
Glad they wasted your 11 mins, but you also wasted time to post which makes it more than 11 minutes. 😂😂 keep moving 😂😂
Anyways have a great day and we love this channel. ❤️❤️❤️
Calm your tits dude.
