What series is the note? A couple ways to check are feel for embossing or “raised ink” on Jackson’s coat by using your finger tip. Another way would be to look for blue and red fibers embedded in the paper.
@@knoch077 do these notes have water marks ? I know watermarks were a thing that started in 1999? I believe… but this $20 note is from 1981 and has no watermark it also has some red ink kinda sorta on the edge on the left hand side of the bill .. on the top left side it says D4 and on the bottom right it says D 26 .. I know on my other bills it has D and whatever numbers that’s why I thought this could be normal but I have suspicion that this could be fake.
@@rayquaza8597 from what your describing there aren’t any red flags to me for the Series 1981. D4 just means the Cleveland federal reserve issued it. And the D26 is the front plate position when it was printed. Any “small face” note will not have a water mark as the first series the watermark was introduced was Series 1996.
@@knoch077 I just found out it was real lol and a shop offered me $100 for it and told him no.. still don’t know much about it but he wouldn’t tell me more about the bill I have
I have a 1950 Twenty dollar bill. I was wondering how I can find out of it is worth anything. It is a (D) series, the front is black ink, & the back is SUPER green. It also has a green stamp on the right & the letter (H) on the left. Could someone PLEASE get back to me & lmk what I need to lol for to find out if it is, in fact, worth anything? Well, worth more than its face value of $20.00. Ty ALL SO VERY MUCH! Tammy "Mac" 🥀
The note is worth face value. If you don't need $20, keep it. If you do spend it. You should check the serial number of the bill. If the serial number is generic, spend it.
Maybe in 90 years it will be worth $30-35 (Big Maybe)..if it's in perfect mint condition it's worth $20-$21. American got rid of that money for a reason. It is not Worth anything cuz you haven't spent it.lol👍👍
thanks for all the info you gave us?.
holy shit these look so amazing for their age i wish i can find these more often, i keep running into 1980-1995 series
Keep all the $20s from 1995 and before no matter what the condition. You can resell them too for $5-$10 more than face value
Joe Luis how do you run into them
The condition and quality are very important when saving old money.

Does no one see the klansman on the 95, 20 dollar bill on the back. Under the tree on the left.
Do this have the face when you light it up?
No, the watermark wasn’t added until the “big face” notes came out which would be series 1996-present.
Mines says katherine ortega letter E
