The slowly changing salt doesn’t make sense to me, it’s not like you are doing a 100% water change. Also if corals were that sensitive, what about when you get shipments or sell corals to people who use different salts? 🤔 If you going to switch just do the darn thing. 👍👏💪
@@jaylonmarikar6829 it’s sodium chloride and trace elements. There is no magic in salt. Reef Chrystal has organics added and elevated elements that just precipitate when you mix and store.
TM pro salt is the IO purple box of Europe. All you're paying for is the freight to ship it to North America, for a really basic salt. Just run IO purple box and save a bunch of money
It all looks amazing. The colours on the acros are gorgeous. Don’t want to be a downer cause I love the channel and videos. Just a heads up when you retrofit your equipment like that you void the CSA raring on the lights. If something horrible happens during an investigation they will know they were retrofitted and it is the same end result as having a non CSA rated for Canada equipment. Insurance will be cancelled 🙈. You are a genius when it comes to your ideas and making them come to fruition. I would hate to see your insurance not cover you. You have so much invested 😱. March I truly agree with the t5 I loved them and was running the vho version for yeas had great growth but no pop ever since I switch to radio a I do like em but the wrap around affect you described perfectly can’t get that from led but I miss my vho and bulbs were scarce for that fixture I was running still have it in the garage but the bulbs at hard to get for it especially the 79 inch long fixture I us to run but t5 👍🏼👍🏼✌️👍🏼
Tropic Marin is the only salt I've used since some random guy at my LFS said he swore by it and no one else had an opinion. Lately I have been paying more attention to what salt people use because of your videos. I've been curious if it was worth the extra money and really curious to see what your thoughts are in a few months now.
My last TM pro batch mixed up pretty high on alk-9.3, ca-660, and mag-1575. Salifert test kits in date and usually match up with ICP-MS test when I send them out. I'm thinking of switching to RS blue bucket. I'm running Reef Moonshiner method also.

Nice DIY setup! I would have painted it with a flag paint black or white. Will help mitigate moisture and mold growth.
