  • Had a good melt today using some aluminum conduit and other miscellaneous stuff sitting around. Also tried out re-melting some slag with expected results. Ended the day with a good bounty of bricks and had some fun doing it. Hope you enjoy!

I just saw this video on youtube recommended. Great video, and the final bars look great, how much would they go for, I'm not much of a metal guy. Also, Is there any way you can get better sound on the video? I cant believe you only have 27 subs. Keep making these great videos, also the piano video was very interesting, especially how many components were in it.

Depending on the aluminum, it can be worth up to $0.60 a pound. I'll play around with the sound to see if I can get better pickup on my cameras. Thanks for the heads up on that. I just got my channel started so I gotta start at the bottom and claw my way up from there. I'm glad you enjoy my videos, it's fun putting them together and some people are enjoying them. Keep an eye out for more scrapping content on my channel. I'm always looking for something else to scrap out and get the metal out of them. Thanks and Have a Great Day!

Nope! The extruded aluminum bars will probably be kept in my collection. Extruded aluminum is not the best for casting objects with, Cast aluminum is better. Things like wheels or engine blocks. I will soon post some casting videos of aluminum, copper and brass...among other non-ferrous metals. Stay tuned! Thanks for visiting my channel.

Thanks, I'll try that. In fact, I just got some new refractory coating rated to 3200F to re-coat the sides.
