my kit is a few years old and starting to use or again after putting in new battery. It seems the year only goes up to 2021. I think I got this maybe in 2015-2017. It has two month/year (think). 08/10 on top and bottom 07/07. It’s like new- just wondering if I need a newer model It’s a “Freedom Lite

I have use the set up screen for the dates and everything, inserted, the lancets and test strip, but it will not read/display a result. I also had someone at the pharmacy, showing me how to do it and it didn’t work for them either.
Your primary care doctor or Nurse Practitioner should know how and register you for discounted price or FREE test strip prescription; ask them about that.
I accidentally advanced forward on the year. How do I go backward for the year? Example from 2038 to 2022. Disregard. I figured it out. I held down the c button and the year started over. Yay!
How you proved to your kids is that you like to waste time and money. What did this even accomplish but create a spillway onto your own property. Lol When the pond breeches and washes away part of that fence, you'll be in court and you will lose. Are your kids really so lazy that they can't walk through the woods and access the pond that's on your side of the property line?

When setting the year on my freedom lite meter it will not go beyond 2021 does anyone know what i can do?

I have read that there is no option to do this, and that it will reset itself after 400 tests have been performed. Kinda frustrating.

Yes. When you are following the settings, the first one is alarm - you toggle the C button until the alarm has a diagonal line through it.
Which way do the butterfly face into machine or out. Tried both ways droplets symbol hasn't come come. Wasted 4 strips so far
