    Good evening! This is so helpful. Do you provide one on one assistance. I'm building our music department and band and this is something I definitely need help with. I already have a talkback mic but I'm not controlling it. I want to have that control. Can you walk me through setting it up?

    Can you make an updated version or something, because you didn't talk much about the cable coming from the direct box to the mixer, what it does, and what buttons did you push and stuff like that.

    What type of cable is it on the out of the direct box

    • @JDEANFIA
      @JDEANFIA  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I only use 1/4 inch instrument cables and xlr.

      @@JDEANFIA so I have one last question I have a mixer at my church already but it’s sort of in a separate room if I buy 8 channel mixer for the talkback mic, will all this still work?

    • @JDEANFIA
      @JDEANFIA  Před 6 měsíci

      Yes, I'm running a separate mixer for mine. Shoot me an email with your number on it and I'll talk you through it in detail. Jdeansr@gmail.com

    Hello, I have a question: So if I use a in - ear system and I connect it to the one of the aux inputs, will the bass player and drummer be able to hear whoever talks into the mic? Hope my questions is clear. Thanks in advance!

    • @JDEANFIA
      @JDEANFIA  Před rokem +1

      Yes you can plug in the aux. If you don't have enough aux available. You can get a headphone splitter or headphone amp/mixer like a Behringer HA8000.

      @@JDEANFIA Thanks sir! Another question, is it necessary to run the keyboard through this aux mix?? I have mine connected to the house mixer.

      @danieloseiboateng1996 I'm going to make an updated video showing a better way to do it. This setup is years old and I do it a new way now. (Still cheap). I don't remember the particulars of this setup.

    Question. Say my mixer only has a “1-2” sub fader, (one fader), does this mean that I would still be able to achieve this result, or would it go through the house monitors?

    • @JDEANFIA
      @JDEANFIA  Před rokem +1

      If I'm thinking correctly, you can still do it but you won't be able to switch between coming out the house or not. If you had 2 sliders, you could turn down the volume coming through the house as needed. With only one, you'll either come out of the house or through the talkback. Hope that helps.

      @@JDEANFIA thank you. This helped a lot.

      Okay. So, with some recent research. I’ve found that the mixer I want to get has 2 sub mix faders, labeled sub-mix one, and sub mix two. *However, there is only one sub mix button next to each respective channel, that covers both of these sub mic faders. In other words, there’s one button, (submix 1-2), and we have separate faders for both 1 and 2.*
      Would this still work? I’m not very experienced with mixers in regards in talkback systems. Or, talkback systems in general.

    • @JDEANFIA
      @JDEANFIA  Před rokem +1

      @Volitionrecords Yes that will work. More than likely it is set up to where when the button beside the channel slider is pushed down, it goes to sub mix 1. When the button is up, it'll go to sub mix 2.
      You can then control rather you come through the house with the sub mix fader.

    Wait do you control the individual singers microphone. When someone is loud or when you can not hear some singer at 7:00

    • @JDEANFIA
      @JDEANFIA  Před 2 lety

      That's the only downfall. You can't turn down individual mics. Just all or nothing. Basically you get whatever is coming out of the monitor you hook into with direct box.
