  • After being permanently out of stock for over 6 months, the Revel Boards online store has finally shut down without a word.
Revel Kits are now an endangered species!
This was my first #eskate almost 18 months ago, and has made a great street board setup. I loved being able to choose my own deck and having the flexibility to find what I liked when I was starting out.
So I'll keep riding my Revel board until it eventually dies. But the battery is already starting to lose capacity, so not sure how long it will actually keep going with no way to order spares now.
    Deck: Eastside DK Dropkick
    Wheels: Cloudwheel Rovers 110
    Bushings: Riptide
    Shoes: Cariuma Naioca Pro
Music: Look At Her Go - Ge Filter Fish (Artlist.io)

Time for a new board many companies out there such as ride propel , m boards , acedeck , omniesk8 , newbeeesk8 etc. stay away from rideevolved , meepo , backfire boards altho meepo cyclone 110mm 68a soft wheels are nice bought two sets and that's if your staying on belt drive system.
But I am struggling to keep my omni cruiser gear drive from bottoming out on 110-120mm wheels so ill be going 6 inch tires life style very soon.

The thing I liked most about Revel was it being a bolt-on for any deck. It gave some of the personalisation of DIY but without needing any of the knowledge or skill to actually make a DIY.
Unlimited made a similar bolt-on but belt drive, they've also gone bust, and Mellow made a hub drive bolt-on kit - not sure if they're officially out of business but suspect they are.
So, yeah you're right, there are lots of great boards, and a few good direct drive options (which I really like for a street wheel setup), but I think we've now seen the last of bolt-on conversion kits

It really sucks that I saved up for a pair, only to know that Revel Boards closed down :((((

Yeah, that sucks! And there's no direct replacement - no-one else offers anything quite the same
