I met Vince Gill and Amy Grant in 2004 and he is one of the nicest guys in the world. Amy Grant is such a sweetheart.

I’m so glad he clarified that he’s not on social media because there are all these pages on Facebook and I’ve received direct messages from people claiming to be him.
From one Okie to another, I just love this guy, he is so real and authentic.

Great to see Vince still making new music! A lot of his music brings back great memories for me. Classics like "When I Call Your Name," "Look At Us," "Take Your Memory With You," and "Never Knew Lonely" come to mind for me. Also love his 1998 album, "The Key." I've always loved his sense of humor and laid back personality, too, and I'm glad to see that hasn't changed one bit. I wish they'd have him host the CMA awards again. He's still the best one they ever had, imo.

Being kind means more than being right. That's a profound statement.
Vince always talks about Go Rest High being written for him to grieve the loss of his brother, and while that's true, he rarely mentions that the first verse and chorus were started before his brother even passed. It was originally started to honor Keith Whitley and sort of shelved until much later. Now, it's seen almost exclusively as a tribute to Vince's brother.

Vince is just a couple years older, so we experienced music old and new in the same era, from primal 78 recordings to the present. Difference is he's an accomplished musician full spread, I'm an expert listener with a few recorded songs written that did nothing. In an otherwise vacant room with the junk box, I had a private moment with a female soldier across the room over Pocket Full Of Gold. We were intimate for 3 minutes without a touch or a word. Never saw her again but will never forget. That's the power of music and Vince Gill.

It's called eating the way one always has as aging slows everything including metabolism down. I've always enjoyed his sense of humor about his weight gain though. He is one of the best for sure.

I've been a Vince Gill fan for many years. I've met him many times and have wonderful.pictures and memories from that and he is a very nice down to earth person who doesn't judge so how about let's keep that in mind and do the same. Weight is no reason to think less of anyone. He's an amazing singer musician songwriter and humanitarian.
