The whole "They won't reprint it because it is bad" loses water when you remember that in the Legendary Collection GX set they reprinted the N.E.X. fusions. Cards so bad they only gave us two of the possible six. They reprinted those to the joy of only hard-core collectors and GX fans, so there has to be some other reason they refuse to publicly disclose. Which stinks because I want to build a new Neos deck.
Speaking of which: We need the other 4 N.E.X. Fusions. Make them good and maybe people might be willing to splash a Neo-Spacian in a HERO deck besides maybe Aqua Dolphin.
I'm glad more people are starting to question why this card never got a reprint after 15 or so years. Air Neos was always my favorite of the contact fusions so it's a shame I'll need to dish out about $100 for a copy

After looking into it a bit, I can confirm that the wings behind Neos ARE Air Neos'. The design's a little different for the wings themselves but, if you look closely above Neos' shoulder, you can see the little yellow "wing cuff" from Air Neos. I compared it to both Honest Neos and Rainbow Neos (the only other Neos' I know with wings) and it most certainly was not them. As to why only the wings are there and why they look different, I honestly have no idea. But I believe they are supposed to be Air Neos' wings.
i was a big fan of the Chronos and Judai graduation duel and loved the combos he used with air neos. I was super confused as to why it wasn’t in master duel
Something even weirder is that on the artwork of instant contact, you can kinda see wings behind neos. So, its implying that air neos is there, but it doesnt show him.

@@jyukarozhana You're actually right, The armor on the wings of Air Neos are gold, it's silver with gold trim on Honest Neos. So those wings 100% belong to Air Neos
Air Neos' effect is clunkier than most of the other Neos fusions because you need to somehow manage both your's and your opponent's life points in order to maximize his efficiency. For him to be at absolute top performance, you need to have a huge gap between your lps. And if that gap is that big in the first place, chances are the last thing you need is a beater that weakens himself the second he deals damage. Flare Neos is arguably the better offensive fusion just for his effect that you can work with more easily. This isn't helped by Air Hummingbird's effect being completely counterintuitive to Air Neos' effect by giving you life points, indirectly making the fusion weaker.
On the topic of instant contact, there's one bit of misunderstanding in this video. Technically, Air Neos is in the card. He's the only Neos Fusion that has wings and you can clearly see in the background, there are wings... But the wings are pure white instead of white and pink. So Konami clearly is trying to hide Air Neos, but they still wanted Air neos, so they just threw in a generic set of wings to represent Air Neos.
Air Neos definitely deserves a reprint soon because I think it’s a great card and one of my favourite Neo Fusion that Judai used and I really hope it’ll get reprinted soon
Other, even more goofy theory: The kid of some Konami director lost a duel/tournament because of Air Neos and the snooty brat made their parent promise they will never print the card or include it in media ever. (But my guess is it's probably a ripoff of some obscure Kamen rider-type design or something and the owner has made a stink).
My little brother watches kamen rider and I know all of them so i think it's safe to say that he isn't based off of a kamen rider. Probably some other Japanese TV show, but I highly doubt it because elemental hero neos himself is clearly based of the anime Guyver and he didn't have any legality issues.
It's Me, Steve Yeah the Kamen Rider inspired monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh! are the Masked HEROES. Masked HERO - Anki is performing a Rider Kick, and all of them have similar designed masks.
Ive seen multiple people say that the reason for air neos not being reprinted is that the person that was responsible for its illustration had passed away, and that konami no longer holds the rights to the artwork.
What i find weird is how they didn't try and make a new one with similar effects. We've had plenty of Neos support over the years and they had plenty of chances to create a Sky Neos or something.
@@WarpChaos That's what I said. Look at Knightmare Unicorn's new artwork, or all the Dark Magician, Blue Eyes and Red Eyes alternatives. They could easily get a new design, or just retrain it.
I heard a theory that the artist that drew Air Neos died shortly after the cards release or something and due to Konami not officially owning the copyright to the art and the artist being dead the rights to Air Neos's art fell into Copyright Limbo. Again, I'm not sure about how legitimate that could be as it seems dubious that something like that could happen or that at the very least Konami would have slipped up to allow such a thing to happen to them.
While the legality of Air Neos is the most popular rumor, it's a completely baseless one. To me it seems impossible that the issue is a legal one, because Air Neos was included in the 2019 video game. If it was about legal rights, there's no real reason why they would be able to include it in Legacy of the Duelist, but not Master Duel or any of the Tag Force games.
Something that I noticed because of this video: In the art of Instant Contact, wings that look very close to Air Neos' are right there behind Glow Neos and Flare Neos. You can see the feather details next to Glow Neos' head and in that open spot between Base, Flare, and Grand Neos. You can also see the tan part at the base of his wings right behind Base Neos' right shoulder. The only reasons why these are not %100 Air Neos' wings are the feathers are white instead of red and we don't see the blue and red parts (but based on the position I'd say those would be covered by Glow and Flare anyway). It's almost like Air Neos WAS part of the artwork but was later poorly removed.
I know it's nowhere near this conspiracy, but I always found it weird that the Rikka cards only had Rikka Queen Strenna reprinted (in the Tin of Ancient Battles) and none of their other cards reprinted, while all the Eldlich and Adamancipator cards (both archetypes coming from the exact same deck builder pack, Secret Slayers) got reprinted in the Tin of Ancient Battles, and Maximum Gold: El Dorado.

I dont think its a coding issue, Ancient Sacred Wyvern has the same unique effect and its in the game. There isn't anything unique about the card that isn't in the game.
Yeah I know, I was regarding the first few cards because of their infamy when it comes to how it would work on an online simulator. it's the same, air neos is a protaginists card in that sense, this is as serious as the farewell dragon being an ace card... but that was fixed, this didn't seem to be a problem other than, no reprint... until it was ljteral, deleted, of an official art and based on another official and be avoided in games where its little or easy acquisition does not matter
here is my theory on why Air Neos isn't being reprinted or even represented anymore: its possible that they had a shortage of artist around the time they were designing the cards for Strike Of Neos and so they had to hire an outside artist, its possible that this was a rushed contract and so instead of legal saying Konami owned all version of Air Neos and its artwork and they could do whatever with it, it might have only said that Konami only had permission to print that card and its artwork in the set Strike of Neos, and that is why Air Neos has only be "reprinted" twice, once in strike of neo packs for the six samurai special editions and the other for Korean strike of Neos re-released boxes. This would explain why it has never been reprinted, why they cant show the artwork anywhere else, and why master duel and duel links do not have this card, the only loose end is the card does show up in legacy of the duelist and link evolution, that could be chalked up to a mistake and since those games were not really popular, it just flew under the radar.
@@lordvika2526 I'm not so sure they would, think about what the reward is for spending hundreds or maybe even thousands to buy the rights back, there really are none. Air Neos is only as iconic as it is because of its lack of reprints but the moment it does get one, its a 2 dollar reprint. So I dont think this would carry a set by itself, so there is not really a return on investment. In short it makes no financial sense to buy the rights, this is Air Neos, not blue eyes or dark magician.

@@TheMajor2029 Konami doesn't care about the aftermarket prices of the cards. If enough people want it they will reprint it. Also why wouldn't they want the rights to something that is part of their game. It's like having a puzzle with 1 piece missing.
Funny, Air Neos is the most useful of the old Contact Fusion monsters and part of an OTK. I hoped Konami would revive the NEX support and make even an upgraded form of it. Weird enough, Instant Contact has still Air Neos' wing in the artwork. It seems like he is more hidden compared to in the opening instead of just being excluded like it seems at first glance.

@@BaxsStudios eh, tge artstyle has changed over the years which includes the colors they use to draw certain monsters (look at kuriboh and sangan in the artworkof newer cards), the colors are different but the shape is the same.
To be fair, Air Neos' wings are still in the picture of the card. So clearly, that monster is still present but they chose to hide its main body behind Neos for some reason. Maybe some weird rule in Japan that is preventing them from using it fully. I don't know. It is very strange. Nice to see this being talked about though.
This can also be said to all old print out cards, too, like two days ago, I was watching an archetype video on the Gladiator Beasts, and I thought, "This kinda makes me want to run Gladiator Beast for a while", so I get on Amazon, and I know people that make Yu-Gi-Oh deck that they sell online, and surprise-suprise, they had one, but when I looked at the deck profile, it was lacking in the old Gladiator cards like Alexander and Spartacus and others, until I googled them, and they didn't have any new reprints besides the new support, they legit had the old Gladiator Beast cards from like 2007-9, I guess which goes up to 10 to 22 dollars!? Ok, Konami. I know you've been making bigger and better archetypes focusing on the meta, and you do pay respects to old-school cards and iconic ones, but can't you show some love on the other side of the card pool?

Really interesting. The way this card seems so subtly omitted makes me think it's actually a personal slight. Like, there was a team that were responsible for the creation and design of Neos and his support. They each designed their own fusions, and they all became really close friends by the end. But then, the guy who made Air Neos had a really bad falling out (prob signed on to MTG), and left the them all. Most of them don't wanna talk about it, a few are happy for him, but the the team lead and some others feel betrayed and pissed. There's actually no legal issues at all, the lead just wants to burry all the other guy's work. At least, that's what I came up with in the first 3 minutes...
Yeah I'm pretty convinced there's some sort of legality issue (or at the very least Konami is afraid of a potential one), nothing else really makes sense for why they didn't put the card in Master Duel. As far as changing the name/art, maybe they don't wanna change those because it's a somewhat iconic card from the show, but who knows.
Actually it’s kinda odd, there are a lot of cards missing from Master Duel… it feels like MD has about 70% of all cards in the game and is missing the last 30%. So it’s not just Air Neos. For example the newest set of Speedroid support is not in the game either.
@@Megamanlanprime The majority of cards from the last year or so aren't in the game, that's probably more to do with whatever cut-off point they had when deciding what cards to have in the initial release rather than other issues (copyright/legal issues/etc with 10+ year old cards), so I don't find those cards missing particularly odd. Some of the "new" Speedroid stuff has already been datamined iirc so I wouldn't be surprised if they're added at some point soon-ish.

Air Neos is definitely super weird though I don’t know if anyone’s ideas on the art or name or whatever are right because if they’re willing to change the art on Mad Lobster or Injection Fairy Lily for copyright reasons then they’d be willing to change it for a major card used by a protagonist. Plus although it hasn’t had a reprint it has been in videogames for years up until master duel and they have no problems continuing to make the GX episodes it featured it available. I really have no idea what the real problem could be though Edit: Also it is in Instant Contact, it’s just squashed up at the back behind regular Neos

Air Neos technically is on that cards art. But what it looks like they've done is tweaked it a bit so Air Neos specifically isnt visible. Those wings near Glow Neos and Flare Neos are neither of their wings, but Air Neos' wings. Also next to Glow Neos' arm, the one closest to Neos, appears to be maybe a small portion of Air Neos' armor. It's like they just moved Air Neos around from the background without just completely removing him.
It’s the only card I need to finish my jaden character deck and I’m not paying $170 for it 😅 I hope they put it as a secret rare in the speed duel gx box as one of the promos but I’m not holding my breath
@@neosgundam2584 it’s pretty much a direct copy of all the YGOAnimeGames jaden character decks mushed together, I will say it’s not much fun to duel with since main character luck isn’t a thing in real life and it has 2 archetypes trying to co exist lol but I definitely don’t regret building it hope this helps :)
I really do hope Air Neos will be reprinted one day and appear on other cards again. Not only because it deserves to be reprinted like the other Neos fusions, but also to bring down its price on eBay, lol. #JusticeForAirNeos
One theory I’ve heard is that there’s a dispute with an Italian airline company called “Neos Air” and they had a problem w konami using the name of air neos, and Konami agreed w them to not use it ever again. Edit: it was mentioned here so I jumped the gun
That theory seems really weak, because even if it were true that Neos Air would have an issue, Konami has to just rename Air Neos to be idk "Hummingbird Neos" and it would all be solved. They've done errata a lot, and even changing names, like Frog the Jam to Slime Toad, so doing that to prevent such an issue is a no-brainer imo.
They could change the name, a card named Caterpillar Tank from YGO R manga was printed but it got it's name changed to Powered Crawler. They could do the same with Air Neos then.

Pretty sure he was only called Air Neos in US and Japan anyway so the Italian Airline thing doesn't hold much water to me. That and as everyone has said if it's the name just change it, why go out of the way to pull the artwork from the lineup if it was just the name that's the issue?

There are even people who are dumb enough to claim Air Neos is excluded from DL and MD because it's difficult to program the effect. Lmao we have Ancient Sacred Wyvern in both games, whose effect is kinda similar (only difference is ASW loses ATK instead of gaining when your LP is lower). So it's 100% definitely not a programming issue.
No. 35 Ravenous Tarantula also exists and has an effect that functions the same way, and it made it to Duel Links and Master Duel. The whole "programming difficulty" theory definitely needs to be laid to rest because it doesn't work

I've enjoyed and have been collecting HERO cards since I was a kid back in 2006 till now. It kills me so much that I'm still missing this one and only Neos Fusion HERO monster. 😭

This video is really depressing. I had no idea Air Neos' worth until a about a year ago when I tried to rebuild my Neos deck and I learned of the cards price... Depressing because I had my own Air Neos I used casually for years but a "friend" of mine stole almost my entire collection of cards. I let him borrow most of my cards because he was getting back into Yu-gi-Oh and wanted to build a deck. I left him my cards for the weekend... and I never heard from him again, he wouldn't answer my calls or texts, and when I finally went by his house to check on him (I was working three jobs so it took a while), he had moved 😵 ... I guess I learned a valuable lesson... but it still hurts I lost my collection, most notably Air Neos and my sister's DDS Blue-Eyes... my FMR Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon and Metal Morph too, not so much because they're worth a whole lot but it was my favorite Monster 😔
It should also be mentioned that Air Neos also has a different name in italian too, so it's still wouldn't make sense regarding the name, Dimension Explosion with air Neos on the card is ALSO in Master Duel as well so the design isn't an issue either.
So here’s the thing Air Neos IS on Instant Contact but you have to look VERY CLOSELY. If you see the wings behind Neos you being questioning who’s wings are those? They aren’t the wings of Divine or Rainbow or any other Neos card. If you notice they are specifically Air Neos’ wings BUT if you look you notice Air Neos is turned BACKWARDS! The pink of the wings that’s there when you look at Air Neos from the front is missing all you see is the back version. But his wings are white on the back and you can match the swoops of the shoulders to Air Neos too. All this said that means they had to specifically spend time to censor and swap him to the back on purpose. Lending more questions to the conspiracy.

I think you missed something very important in the Instant Contact card, there is a pair of wings in the back behind all the neos monsters and I think this is a reference to Air Neos itself because no other monsters on the card have a pair of white wings. Now if is indeed a reference to Air Neos it gives more credibility to the conspiracy theories because why else would konami make just a reference to Air Neos instead of showing it completely like the shot of the OP of the anime that is referencing

@@SKR-97 or the more identifiable features of his wings are covered by the foreground elements. It appears the image is the exact start of the image sequence in the opening and air neos was a pretty small image in that. Also the top of air neos' head is poking up from neos' right shoulder
If you look at instant contact, there is SOMETHING at the back which is where air neos is in the GX opening. It looks kinda like a wing but something that belongs to cyber end instead of air neos though.
Now that i think about it, Air Neos was NOT present even in Tag Force 3 (2008) 🤔🤔 Plus i think they cant use the card because the artist died and so konami can't ask for permission
Marine Neos got reprinted in the GX Legendary Collection but one of its fusion materials Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin didn't. Why did they not reprint Air Neos instead? Air Hummingbird got reprinted.

They didn't "forget". The card is actually really good for it's age and wasn't reprinted even in reprint sets back in the day. They didn't ignore Air Neos for shits and giggles.
Sorry if anyone else has already mentioned this... I remember back in 2006/7 right around the time tag force and GX came out a magazine or kids TV show or something like that, ran a "Design a card " competition and I distinctly remember someone designing a card similar to this (cant remember if they won or were a runner up etc) But Konami or Upper Deck at the time, took their design and they didn't get paid, or credited, I have since done a bit of digging online just to check i wasn't remembering it wrong as it was long time a go. and found several historical evidence and instances for this kind of thing, but the exact details are some what lacking.
The airline theory is the one I was favoring going in. It seemed to make sense, along with Shuttleroid, sharing a name with a real machine. It's also similar to the Kadabra case in Pokemon TCG if a representative reached out to Konami not to use the character with that name/design.
Kadabra did eventually get loosed from the grips of not appearing in any media outside of games, but even then the reasons why seem questionable to some people.

The theory I heard was that Air Neos was designed by a fan, but that fan died before konami could get their permission to renew some sort of legal agreement for them to be allowed to use the name and art of Air Neos in cards. There's no evidence supporting this theory (or any theory for that matter) as far as I know, but still I figured I'd share it. It's interesting how this card just doesn't get reprinted for some mysterious reason.
For some reason Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon, Tyrant of D., and ultimate fusion aren't in Master Duel either. They won't give answers as to why. I contacted support to find out and I was basically told to go duck myself.
Okay actually theres a reason for duel links and that, it would be VERY exploitable. There are events that in duel links theres Raid duels where they would have to ban that card, alongside hes kind of like a level of armytile in more exploitable form. ESPECIALLY against a cards like Aromage. Fighting aromage? Summon air neos and call it a day. In a format of HALF the life points, theres some way it would be exploited IMMENSELY.

Air neos while it is a beatstick was fun to pull out when you was losing and turn the tables on an opponent or otk when you haven't dealt any damage due to a brick then coming back on ya next turn

After looking into it a bit, I can confirm that the wings behind Neos ARE Air Neos'. The design's a little different for the wings themselves but, if you look closely above Neos' shoulder, you can see the little yellow "wing cuff" from Air Neos. I compared it to both Honest Neos and Rainbow Neos (the only other Neos' I know with wings) and it most certainly was not them. As to why only the wings are there and why they look different, I honestly have no idea. But I believe they are supposed to be Air Neos' wings.

It’s idiotic that people think Air Neos isn’t good. It’s arguably the best of the the Single OG fusions.
I would argue Grand Neos is better but Air Neos is still a really good one
I would rank 1th: Air Neos; 2th: Grand Neos; 3th: Aqua Neos (for the hand destruction effect), and then forget about all the other three
Air Neos' effect is clunkier than most of the other Neos fusions because you need to somehow manage both your's and your opponent's life points in order to maximize his efficiency. For him to be at absolute top performance, you need to have a huge gap between your lps. And if that gap is that big in the first place, chances are the last thing you need is a beater that weakens himself the second he deals damage. Flare Neos is arguably the better offensive fusion just for his effect that you can work with more easily. This isn't helped by Air Hummingbird's effect being completely counterintuitive to Air Neos' effect by giving you life points, indirectly making the fusion weaker.

On the topic of instant contact, there's one bit of misunderstanding in this video. Technically, Air Neos is in the card. He's the only Neos Fusion that has wings and you can clearly see in the background, there are wings... But the wings are pure white instead of white and pink. So Konami clearly is trying to hide Air Neos, but they still wanted Air neos, so they just threw in a generic set of wings to represent Air Neos.
Rainbow Neos has wings. Divine Neos too.

Other, even more goofy theory: The kid of some Konami director lost a duel/tournament because of Air Neos and the snooty brat made their parent promise they will never print the card or include it in media ever. (But my guess is it's probably a ripoff of some obscure Kamen rider-type design or something and the owner has made a stink).
My little brother watches kamen rider and I know all of them so i think it's safe to say that he isn't based off of a kamen rider. Probably some other Japanese TV show, but I highly doubt it because elemental hero neos himself is clearly based of the anime Guyver and he didn't have any legality issues.

Ive seen multiple people say that the reason for air neos not being reprinted is that the person that was responsible for its illustration had passed away, and that konami no longer holds the rights to the artwork.
Out of respect would be nice but i thought every artist signs their rights away when working on card art for konami.
What i find weird is how they didn't try and make a new one with similar effects. We've had plenty of Neos support over the years and they had plenty of chances to create a Sky Neos or something.
If it were an artwork issue, why not just make an alternate art?

I heard a theory that the artist that drew Air Neos died shortly after the cards release or something and due to Konami not officially owning the copyright to the art and the artist being dead the rights to Air Neos's art fell into Copyright Limbo. Again, I'm not sure about how legitimate that could be as it seems dubious that something like that could happen or that at the very least Konami would have slipped up to allow such a thing to happen to them.

While the legality of Air Neos is the most popular rumor, it's a completely baseless one.
To me it seems impossible that the issue is a legal one, because Air Neos was included in the 2019 video game. If it was about legal rights, there's no real reason why they would be able to include it in Legacy of the Duelist, but not Master Duel or any of the Tag Force games.
I could see this being true. Maybe not reprinting out of respect for the artist, or something like. 🤔
Something that I noticed because of this video: In the art of Instant Contact, wings that look very close to Air Neos' are right there behind Glow Neos and Flare Neos. You can see the feather details next to Glow Neos' head and in that open spot between Base, Flare, and Grand Neos. You can also see the tan part at the base of his wings right behind Base Neos' right shoulder. The only reasons why these are not %100 Air Neos' wings are the feathers are white instead of red and we don't see the blue and red parts (but based on the position I'd say those would be covered by Glow and Flare anyway). It's almost like Air Neos WAS part of the artwork but was later poorly removed.
I know it's nowhere near this conspiracy, but I always found it weird that the Rikka cards only had Rikka Queen Strenna reprinted (in the Tin of Ancient Battles) and none of their other cards reprinted, while all the Eldlich and Adamancipator cards (both archetypes coming from the exact same deck builder pack, Secret Slayers) got reprinted in the Tin of Ancient Battles, and Maximum Gold: El Dorado.

here is my theory on why Air Neos isn't being reprinted or even represented anymore: its possible that they had a shortage of artist around the time they were designing the cards for Strike Of Neos and so they had to hire an outside artist, its possible that this was a rushed contract and so instead of legal saying Konami owned all version of Air Neos and its artwork and they could do whatever with it, it might have only said that Konami only had permission to print that card and its artwork in the set Strike of Neos, and that is why Air Neos has only be "reprinted" twice, once in strike of neo packs for the six samurai special editions and the other for Korean strike of Neos re-released boxes. This would explain why it has never been reprinted, why they cant show the artwork anywhere else, and why master duel and duel links do not have this card, the only loose end is the card does show up in legacy of the duelist and link evolution, that could be chalked up to a mistake and since those games were not really popular, it just flew under the radar.
If that was the case then Konami could have bought the rights for the art work years ago.
@@lordvika2526 I'm not so sure they would, think about what the reward is for spending hundreds or maybe even thousands to buy the rights back, there really are none. Air Neos is only as iconic as it is because of its lack of reprints but the moment it does get one, its a 2 dollar reprint. So I dont think this would carry a set by itself, so there is not really a return on investment. In short it makes no financial sense to buy the rights, this is Air Neos, not blue eyes or dark magician.

Funny, Air Neos is the most useful of the old Contact Fusion monsters and part of an OTK. I hoped Konami would revive the NEX support and make even an upgraded form of it.
Weird enough, Instant Contact has still Air Neos' wing in the artwork. It seems like he is more hidden compared to in the opening instead of just being excluded like it seems at first glance.

@@BaxsStudios eh, tge artstyle has changed over the years which includes the colors they use to draw certain monsters (look at kuriboh and sangan in the artworkof newer cards), the colors are different but the shape is the same.

To be fair, Air Neos' wings are still in the picture of the card. So clearly, that monster is still present but they chose to hide its main body behind Neos for some reason. Maybe some weird rule in Japan that is preventing them from using it fully. I don't know. It is very strange. Nice to see this being talked about though.
This can also be said to all old print out cards, too, like two days ago, I was watching an archetype video on the Gladiator Beasts, and I thought, "This kinda makes me want to run Gladiator Beast for a while", so I get on Amazon, and I know people that make Yu-Gi-Oh deck that they sell online, and surprise-suprise, they had one, but when I looked at the deck profile, it was lacking in the old Gladiator cards like Alexander and Spartacus and others, until I googled them, and they didn't have any new reprints besides the new support, they legit had the old Gladiator Beast cards from like 2007-9, I guess which goes up to 10 to 22 dollars!?

Really interesting. The way this card seems so subtly omitted makes me think it's actually a personal slight. Like, there was a team that were responsible for the creation and design of Neos and his support. They each designed their own fusions, and they all became really close friends by the end. But then, the guy who made Air Neos had a really bad falling out (prob signed on to MTG), and left the them all. Most of them don't wanna talk about it, a few are happy for him, but the the team lead and some others feel betrayed and pissed. There's actually no legal issues at all, the lead just wants to burry all the other guy's work.
At least, that's what I came up with in the first 3 minutes...

Actually it’s kinda odd, there are a lot of cards missing from Master Duel… it feels like MD has about 70% of all cards in the game and is missing the last 30%. So it’s not just Air Neos. For example the newest set of Speedroid support is not in the game either.
@@Megamanlanprime The majority of cards from the last year or so aren't in the game, that's probably more to do with whatever cut-off point they had when deciding what cards to have in the initial release rather than other issues (copyright/legal issues/etc with 10+ year old cards), so I don't find those cards missing particularly odd.
Some of the "new" Speedroid stuff has already been datamined iirc so I wouldn't be surprised if they're added at some point soon-ish.

Air Neos is definitely super weird though I don’t know if anyone’s ideas on the art or name or whatever are right because if they’re willing to change the art on Mad Lobster or Injection Fairy Lily for copyright reasons then they’d be willing to change it for a major card used by a protagonist. Plus although it hasn’t had a reprint it has been in videogames for years up until master duel and they have no problems continuing to make the GX episodes it featured it available.

Air Neos technically is on that cards art. But what it looks like they've done is tweaked it a bit so Air Neos specifically isnt visible. Those wings near Glow Neos and Flare Neos are neither of their wings, but Air Neos' wings. Also next to Glow Neos' arm, the one closest to Neos, appears to be maybe a small portion of Air Neos' armor. It's like they just moved Air Neos around from the background without just completely removing him.

One theory I’ve heard is that there’s a dispute with an Italian airline company called “Neos Air” and they had a problem w konami using the name of air neos, and Konami agreed w them to not use it ever again.

That theory seems really weak, because even if it were true that Neos Air would have an issue, Konami has to just rename Air Neos to be idk "Hummingbird Neos" and it would all be solved. They've done errata a lot, and even changing names, like Frog the Jam to Slime Toad, so doing that to prevent such an issue is a no-brainer imo.
They could change the name, a card named Caterpillar Tank from YGO R manga was printed but it got it's name changed to Powered Crawler. They could do the same with Air Neos then.

There are even people who are dumb enough to claim Air Neos is excluded from DL and MD because it's difficult to program the effect. Lmao we have Ancient Sacred Wyvern in both games, whose effect is kinda similar (only difference is ASW loses ATK instead of gaining when your LP is lower). So it's 100% definitely not a programming issue.
No. 35 Ravenous Tarantula also exists and has an effect that functions the same way, and it made it to Duel Links and Master Duel. The whole "programming difficulty" theory definitely needs to be laid to rest because it doesn't work

This video is really depressing. I had no idea Air Neos' worth until a about a year ago when I tried to rebuild my Neos deck and I learned of the cards price... Depressing because I had my own Air Neos I used casually for years but a "friend" of mine stole almost my entire collection of cards. I let him borrow most of my cards because he was getting back into Yu-gi-Oh and wanted to build a deck. I left him my cards for the weekend... and I never heard from him again, he wouldn't answer my calls or texts, and when I finally went by his house to check on him (I was working three jobs so it took a while), he had moved 😵 ... I guess I learned a valuable lesson... but it still hurts I lost my collection, most notably Air Neos and my sister's DDS Blue-Eyes... my FMR Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon and Metal Morph too, not so much because they're worth a whole lot but it was my favorite Monster 😔
It should also be mentioned that Air Neos also has a different name in italian too, so it's still wouldn't make sense regarding the name, Dimension Explosion with air Neos on the card is ALSO in Master Duel as well so the design isn't an issue either.
So here’s the thing Air Neos IS on Instant Contact but you have to look VERY CLOSELY. If you see the wings behind Neos you being questioning who’s wings are those? They aren’t the wings of Divine or Rainbow or any other Neos card. If you notice they are specifically Air Neos’ wings BUT if you look you notice Air Neos is turned BACKWARDS! The pink of the wings that’s there when you look at Air Neos from the front is missing all you see is the back version. But his wings are white on the back and you can match the swoops of the shoulders to Air Neos too. All this said that means they had to specifically spend time to censor and swap him to the back on purpose. Lending more questions to the conspiracy.
You can also see his hands. Although it looks a bit simmilar to Honest Neos.
You can even see his between Neos and Flare Neos but they light blued it out
@@randomprofile5853 I checked every winged Neos form but the only one who matches the card is in fact Air Neos. They just really fucking hate him and went out of their way to not only turn him around but also to anime censorship light beam him too.

I think you missed something very important in the Instant Contact card, there is a pair of wings in the back behind all the neos monsters and I think this is a reference to Air Neos itself because no other monsters on the card have a pair of white wings. Now if is indeed a reference to Air Neos it gives more credibility to the conspiracy theories because why else would konami make just a reference to Air Neos instead of showing it completely like the shot of the OP of the anime that is referencing
It's not the same wings as Air Neos, Looks more like the wings for Honest Neos
@@kaito549 It kinda does but it doesn't have those gold things on the wings like Honest Neos, also it wouldn't make much sense because Honest Neos is not a extra deck monster. Maybe the wings not being completely identical to Air Neos gives more credence to the card having a legal problem
@@SKR-97 or the more identifiable features of his wings are covered by the foreground elements. It appears the image is the exact start of the image sequence in the opening and air neos was a pretty small image in that. Also the top of air neos' head is poking up from neos' right shoulder
If you look at instant contact, there is SOMETHING at the back which is where air neos is in the GX opening. It looks kinda like a wing but something that belongs to cyber end instead of air neos though.

Marine Neos got reprinted in the GX Legendary Collection but one of its fusion materials Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin didn't. Why did they not reprint Air Neos instead? Air Hummingbird got reprinted.

They didn't "forget". The card is actually really good for it's age and wasn't reprinted even in reprint sets back in the day. They didn't ignore Air Neos for shits and giggles.

I remember back in 2006/7 right around the time tag force and GX came out a magazine or kids TV show or something like that, ran a "Design a card " competition and I distinctly remember someone designing a card similar to this (cant remember if they won or were a runner up etc) But Konami or Upper Deck at the time, took their design and they didn't get paid, or credited,
I have since done a bit of digging online just to check i wasn't remembering it wrong as it was long time a go. and found several historical evidence and instances for this kind of thing, but the exact details are some what lacking.
I had no idea about this card or the lobster but they don't rename or not reprint cards unless there is a huge reason.
The airline theory is the one I was favoring going in. It seemed to make sense, along with Shuttleroid, sharing a name with a real machine. It's also similar to the Kadabra case in Pokemon TCG if a representative reached out to Konami not to use the character with that name/design.
Kadabra did eventually get loosed from the grips of not appearing in any media outside of games, but even then the reasons why seem questionable to some people.

The new card is a good argument. The Master Duel argument is weird because its missing a lot of other cards, for example Dark Magician of Chaos Max.

The theory I heard was that Air Neos was designed by a fan, but that fan died before konami could get their permission to renew some sort of legal agreement for them to be allowed to use the name and art of Air Neos in cards. There's no evidence supporting this theory (or any theory for that matter) as far as I know, but still I figured I'd share it. It's interesting how this card just doesn't get reprinted for some mysterious reason.
For some reason Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon, Tyrant of D., and ultimate fusion aren't in Master Duel either. They won't give answers as to why. I contacted support to find out and I was basically told to go duck myself.

Ground Neos is based of some Shin Getter Robo design that's what YGO Wiki trivia says, so maybe Air Neos is based on something from that.
Okay actually theres a reason for duel links and that, it would be VERY exploitable. There are events that in duel links theres Raid duels where they would have to ban that card, alongside hes kind of like a level of armytile in more exploitable form. ESPECIALLY against a cards like Aromage. Fighting aromage? Summon air neos and call it a day. In a format of HALF the life points, theres some way it would be exploited IMMENSELY.

Air neos while it is a beatstick was fun to pull out when you was losing and turn the tables on an opponent or otk when you haven't dealt any damage due to a brick then coming back on ya next turn
Actually, the new card is even weirder. Air Neos is there but hidden. It looks like it is from a few frames before the still or something so that he is hidden for minimal editing requirements.
