I think in the US we have 3 types of model enthusiasts...collectors, builders, and displayers. A collector loves the box art that the kit is based on/built-up when done well. Many times the box is never opened, just collected. The builder will usually throw out the box or shove it in a closet. For them the kit is 100% IT, nothing else matters. The displayer is someone who uses the box art to set off the display in some way...framed above the kit, behind the kit in a shadow box, etc. So you will have different "levels" of interest in the box art. I personally love the kits that have the concept art on the box, not just a photographed piece. Unless it is too cartoon like then it looks amateurish.
Andy Cope did it again with Hooper...I need to save my pennies to get that one when it comes out! Great show, guys. This was a fun one.

I consider myself both!! I still have all the boxes with the box art for the kits that I’ve built for you, Bill. 👍👍

From a painter's view I think box art was good 20 or more years ago when you maybe only had a vhs tape of a film to paint kits from or nothing to go off but now with the internet it's easy to find pictures for colour reference,

I know y’all were talking about resin model kits, but I am so glad Atlantis kept the original box art for the cave bear and Sabertooth kit!!

Dave. As a 'collector' I would really appreciate 'box art' but many of the sculpts I guess to not have a box in the traditional sense particularly as myself as I buy finished painted. I would be great to have a C&F Studio box art on a single sheet. Another thought! Would you consider a certificate of authenticity? Sculptor, painter, manufacturer signed by yourself not suggesting a numbered sculpt but at least if I get run over by a bus my wife will be able to sell on😒

    What's your company's website?
You should put a link in your profile. And maybe even in the description under each of your videos!

Please never ever mention The Fog remake. Nuff said. Subb'd. Great content. Personally speaking, I have not yet seen a definitive Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing sculpt. I was lucky enough to pick up an Infinite Statue Vincent Price which I believe to be a perfect likeness. Short vid on my channel. Anyways great chat.... Quick edit, would it be an idea to include Hi-Res digital images of the box art for collectors who might want to go the extra mile to create a poster/mini of the box art? That way there's no real need for a "proper" box?
