So this piece of DBZ has an interesting history. It started as a 1993 video game released only in Japan for the Family Computer (the NES in the US). It was called “The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans.”It was later adapted into an OVA that same year. Then, in 2010, it was remade with updated animation, and it’s this version that TFS used for “Plan to Eradicate Christmas.” You can see a snippet of the original 1994 OVA when Trunks claimed the space-time continuum was fine.
I’m salty they didn’t use the OG scenes of Vegeta fighting Freeza
in addition, the new animation was made alongside the arena fighter, Raging Blast 2
To be fair, the existence of Vegeta's brother is a bit of an obscure fact.
Not being a denial critter, but if I remember right he's mentioned in the Battle of Gods movie....................... but not in the series? They said.. Toriyama said that the movies aren't canon, that's why the manga and series were made, to make it it canon.....
And they, they..... *cries, wipes her face* they, said that the Super series anime and the Super series manga are BOTH canon, and........to the knowledge of my best, THOSE don't mention Cabba? I mean Tarble?

@@wren7195 The whole thing with Super is one big mess. Especially when you get people complaining about something in the anime not being canon because it wasn't in the manga, because their pea-brains are incapable of understanding that the two are entirely separate continuities.

This movie is based on a mainstream movie recreation of an old Arcade with Full Motion game elements that is where that distorted Trunks seen came from
Any time a new saiyan is added to the Dragon Ball lore fans get incredibly excited. So when Vegeta's brother was introduced to the series, it was a seriously hype moment, even if it took place in a movie that most people never saw.
Vegeta's brother Tarble was introduced in Dragon Ball: The Return of Son Goku and Friends!, a movie that never even got an English dubbed release. It was the first piece of media to be released in the series over a decade after Dragon Ball Z finished airing which makes it all the weirder that it never got a proper western release. But it is more like in the timeline of Dragonball Super, canon or not you don't miss anything special.
So keeping Vegeta's brother would be a Tarble idea?
Yeah, Vegeta's brother Tarble he was in one OVA special & only mentioned twice in the series, and the whole thing about Goku endangering the whole universe is just a reference to the Tournament of Power Arc from DBS you'll will understand if you get to that point. 👍

4:29 Vegeta's brother Tarble, was first introduce in the 2008 special, Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!...which takes place shortly after the Z fighters defeat Buu. He hasn't been seen again...through was referenced once or twice in Dragon Ball Super.
He was referenced once in Battle of Gods, but Super dropped the reference.
Nappa wonders if he survived Planet Vegeta's destruction in Broly tho
And even those references seemed like they were only thrown in as a subtle way to acknowledge Tarble as a canon character.
It's literally a remake of an old Japanese video cassette game made for Raging Blast 2 "plan to eradicate the Saiyans" and then edited for team four star
the crunchy roll add was for the dragon ball super arc the tournament of power where Goku gave a god with the power to destroy universes the plan to have a tournament to decide which of 8 universes doesn't get erased.
Thing is, everyone keeps saying Goku put everyone in danger when Zeno outright said he was going to just destroy the different universes.
What Goku did was give one of them a chance to survive.
Dragon ball Z Kai is definitely the way to go. You'll get a taste for how the characters actually were, and just how close the abridged was.

After episode 107 of Dragon Ball Z Kai, (Buu Saga of Kai series starts at episode 99) watch this short deleted scene that sadly was not included on show but was voiced and all.

Well.. that was a brillaint joke about Dragonball Super.. but if you ask me.. Santa was right here and in some way..Goku was always the villain in this. In a real world he would be a madman, like a embodiment of chaos and stupidity. But.. we still love him ^^
I feel the need to recommend Son Goku and His Friends Return since they mentioned Tables, don't remember if they ever did an English dub

If I'm correct this was supposed to be revenge for the extinction of the tuffles. They had scientists who made body armor but the saying killed nearly all of them
This specific animation has nothing to do with Super actually. Its from the video game Raging Blast 2. There's a lot more lore but I don't have all the info

I've said before DBZA is a great way just to get into the series if the original or kai is too much, but I do agree some jokes work best after some context. The show is still just as silly but kind of like TFS the show peaks with Freeza and Cell arcs. Have fun with it and hope to see reactions to more anime and fan projects.
I think vegeta’s brother showed up once with his wife it isn’t important enough to any story line
I love visual upgrades but me dialogue of the original Funimation is better without giving too much away Bulma vs the Karen mim is an example

About the abridged Cell Games shorts, the ones by Devil Artemis are much better. In fact, they're hilarious! Also check out CJ DaChamp's series Black Airforce Energy. He does Vegeta, Broly, Majin Buu as well as a few other characters like Omni Man and Alucard. I think you'll like them.😂
DBZ Kai abridged & HFIL before all that might be better 🥺
The animation looks like this because it was the version from the Xbox 360/ps3 game dbz raging blast 2. This movie (plan to eradicate the super saiyans) was an unlockable feature on the game.
The original special came out in 1993 with the old school animation. I prefer the older one.

10:42 While Goku certainly sounded excited about the Tournament at first, believing that the stakes of losing were confusing, at the end of the day he had no control over whether the Tournament Of Power would ever be created despite being the one to unintentionally plant the seed of an exciting tournament to Zeno.
Yeah, people blame Goku for endangering the universes, but Zen-O was already planning to simply delete the 8 universes that participated for being too primitive, the tournamente only gave a chance to fight for survival.
