The raid on Onigashima is ABOUT TO GO DOWN and the Strawhat crew seem to be as ready as they can be. However, looking back at this arc and seeing how the monster trio, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji have grown, It is clear to me that Oda has learned from some mast mistakes in another major arc.

Dressrosa was such a letdown, just after shutting down the guy who low-diffed an officer she was relegated to protecting Rebecca. I just cant get my hopes up again after that
I would love if we could get a genuine old-school "everyone gets their own fight" arc again, but I can totally understand that not every arc could be that way because 1. Pacing, it would probably take One Piece 20 more years to end if we would've had everyone fight their own fight in every single arc, especially with a growing crew and 2. It would become stale, and way too predictable. But I hope Oda can find a middle ground and give certain characters their own real, genuine fights in each arc, and not just Luffy, Zoro or Sanji.

It's like Robin hasn't grown since Skypiea.
Zoro and Sanji though didn't have best fights. They had cool scenes.
Robin was as cool as Zoro and Sanji since the start, maybe even stronger than them during Albasta.
People should talk about what potential powers ups they could get mid - battle that will play a factor. Remember Haki blooms in the heat of battle.

Robin should get at least observation since she's the smartest and used to be an assassin.
Franky has to get Armament due to his Hard boiled pattern in fights.
And idk what the hell could be done for Chopper, he's just...I'm just disappointed in his portrayl, i used to love him pretimeskip.

@@wallaceiseasy3459 Fair point although it was shown several times In the series prior that haki bloomed. Like in Marine ford luffy saw the future and avoided Mihawk.
I wouldn't consider it an asspull if there haki developed in this upcoming fight I'm expecting it too.

This is one major thing I've ripped on One Piece for, the obscure power ups that kinda just happen. I'm a little relieved we are able to see some training finally. I've always thought it would've transitioned smoother if Oda would've put more pit stops in between islands (1 week/month here or there with training) where the crew stops to restock and then they have to fight more marine officers (lieutenants, captains, commodores, vice admirals) or escape from them like during the G-8 Arc. Plus it would age the crew more making the fights not seem as outlandish. For instance, most if not all the vice admirals, admirals, and commanders of Yonko are 40+ years old and have fought for 20+ years, yet Luffy Zoro and Sanji are all around 21 and have only been on the seas for 3 years and are beating them. When you look at it from an age/experience perspective it just makes no sense. I get all the lineage stuff but let's get real Luffy and them would need to be on the seas for at least 5-10 years with loads of fighting experience/training from a legend before taking on someone of Katakuri's strength and prowess and winning.
I know people will read this and not like me saying that and throw lineage and King's Haki and Will and all sorts of stuff in my face but this is just my opinion. Some more time-skips between islands, training montages, and more minor fights would've rounded out the power scaling to the point of the power leaps making sense. Pretty sure Gear 5 in this arc or next will either be molten rubber or vulcanized rubber?!
Still love the series though. Can't wait to find out all the secrets of Laugh Tale, Void Century, Im-sama, etc..
@Skript He's not saying show it, just have some time jumps where the crew was training in between. Kind of like in Dragon Ball when it jumps ahead a few years every so often. Hasn't the last 400 chapters taken place in like a week or two? I know Fishman Island, Punk Hazard, and Dressrosa took place over 3-4 days. It's kind of ridiculous even for OP and doesn't feel right compared to pre-ts which was over a year of traveling. Just say everybody spent a few months sailing and training between each arc and it makes a lot more sense narratively and power scaling wise.

I want Robin with Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku Haki but it's probably unlikely. She could be a monster with her smarts, knowledge, and devil fruit if Oda wanted to apply her as a secret undercover murder machine. She just had no reason to apply it until...NOW. We'll see haha, I just love Robin and want her to be treated as an important and STRONG Straw Hat member, not stuck in the background with jokes. Even Brook's broken away from that some. She could disarm Tashigi and Zoro in Alabasta, she was the first to recover from Enel's attack and use her powers to help Luffy, she recovered from getting her shadow taken by Moria in minutes, her willpower is quietly god-tier, she's a tactical genius and trained with Dragon. She knew and could fully explain Haki when Luffy fought Caesar to an oblivious Franky. Let her be a badass Oda! >_

15K Subs in 2020 Challenge Bro, I get Theyre support. Nami literally helped take down Cracker and kept Luffy alive and looked out for him. I just feel they need to get stronger and rely on 4 people to take on division commanders on top of a Yonko. Robin can be lethal if she develops future Aight/observation and armament. So can brook and Frsnky and chopper. I think Nami making it rain sea water could be her version of Haki. But still having her actually have it would be dope. Regardless , we know that crew has a lot of untapped potential but we haven’t seen it much. The captain is as strong as his crew. Especially when it comes to marines who have powerful individuals in their ranks

The Monster trio has gotten a lot stronger no doubt. I remember when Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji we're able to take out the Pacifista 2 years after they complete their training. Not to mention that the 3 of them trained under good people. Mihawk, Rayleigh, and Ivankov. I'm excited to see their continuous growth and training.

If we're talking about important numbers in a deck, 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace. At the moment we know of everyone in the deck minus Ace.
Basically X Drake being the 10 has already taken up the "10" spot in the crew. And the numbers being from 2 - 9.
And the theory also falls flat with Usopps lies coming true because the Ace hasn't been mentioned in Kaidos crew which would make only 9 numbers in total.
So while yes Drake is a Tobi Roppo, he is their "captain" making his position in the crew the Significant 10, with Jack, Queen, King being the All-Stars/Commanders.
With the introduction of the Tobi Roppo (978 spoiler) we def NEED to all the SH go all out and get a proper 1vs1 fight!

Considering that we've gotten three new forms for Luffy almost back to back, I think it's a bit too soon for him to get another one. Remember, after Gear 2nd and 3rd were introduced all the way back in Enies Lobby, we didn't get a new form until Dressrosa. I think the new forms, especially Snake Man, need a little more time to breathe. If we do get a gear 5th, I think that's going to be more endgame. Like potential invasion of Mary Joe's Pub or final war, battle against Blackbeard/the admirals/Im endgame.
I think he will get a new G4 form. Also I want him to use Tank Man , like not the stuffed version.
Well, there is a difference between Luffy gaining gear second and third that was a small window; a few weeks between islands to come up with the idea then use it at The Gate of Justice. He has trained longer for gear forth than he has been an active pirate, Snake man had holes, he was only with Rayleigh. Raleigh only spent six months with Luffy the rest of the time is a gap what else did he think up on but can't use properly.
We're already in endgame. We're gonna face off against two Yonko. Snakeman was stalemated by Kata and boundman got humiliated by Kaido and Big Mom. How those can suddenly beat Yonko in two weeks is unlikely

Joshua Graham nah we better not get gear 5 yet this should be saved for when he fights the final boss of one piece which is Blackbeard on the final island for one piece for now he just needs to awaken his devil fruit and master gear 4 so the timer and Haki trouble is gone and don’t get confused just in case because the world government is the final series boss

I gotta say I imagine it must be extremely hard to have so many main characters (the straw hats). Obviously all of them have to get stronger with time but managing to give all of them a power for Wano must be difficult.
Luffy obviously has both advanced Haki‘s and probably another Gear 4 form or even DF awakening coming.
Sanji has the raid suit and might strengthen his Observation Haki.
Zoro has Enma and might strengthen his Armament Haki (maybe he already did by using Enma).
Nami has Zeus and may get an upgraded tool from Usopp or a completely different tool (remember Usopp had a lot of time in Wano to work on stuff).
Robin did show she improved the use of her DF by creating clones and stuff and honestly I can see her learning Observation Haki on her own, she sees and hears a lot due to her DF anyways.
Usopp might have upgraded his slingshot and trained his Observation Haki or created some more weapons like smoke bombs or other tactical weaponry.
Brook always gets stronger I feel like. Remember, he is "SOUL KING" now so he definitely has something new up his sleeve.
Franky is probably fine with his General Franky, he also might have improved his weapons or maybe he didn’t show us everything because it seems for a crazy engineering genius he didn’t do much with his body in those 2 years.
Chopper still hasn’t used 3 rumble balls at once, who knows what might happen.
Jinbe is already strong as hell and since he’s new we didn’t see him go all out yet, he’s probably even stronger than we think. He probably also has Haki.
Honestly it would suffice if everyone could use Haki. If the crew of the Pirate King isn’t able to use Haki by the end of the series I’m done. Imagine Brook, Chopper and Robin with Armament Haki though. That’d be awesome.

I always(well since the second type of Gear Fourth was introduced) thought that Mastered Gear Fourth would be switching between forms WITHOUT leaving Gear Fourth at all. The same way he can push air from bone to bone in Gear Third, to push air from muscle to muscle while reshaping his body with Haki in Gear Fourth allowing him to near instantaneously switch forms as the situation requires.
Can`t wait to see Zoro go all out, his potential is insane.

I think it was just Gears 2nd. But I suppose that has been retconned with the excuse that Luffy is now stronger so he can handle the stress the Gears put on his body.

@@tobu0074 I did theorize when I first saw Gear 2nd that Luffy would die by the end of the story. But... if his Gears were life threatening, I think Chopper would've forbidden him from using it outside of emergencies by now.
@@thenonexistinghero i think they explained after the timeskip that now he can activate gears on parts of his body like, when he uses pistol he only activates gear 2nd on his arm, so it doesnt wears him down as hard as before
@@AriasXIV that's actually how red haw works, he uses gear 2 solely on his arm to the extreme that it lights on fire and uses buso haki to protect himself.

I'm sorry my memory is a little foggy on whole cake but what the hell did chopper even do in whole cake Island as far as I can remember he was just in the background and didn't do anything at all. If it's anybody in the strawhats that need some spotlight the most it's chopper because he hasn't done anything significant since enis lobby, no major story plot to develop him and no major fights. He's literally becoming happy from Fairy Tail and I really don't want that.
@@WeebGamer69 Naw he is far from happy imo, during punk hazard he introduced us to his view on poison, and showed us his skills in working for a cure for poison in wano too. Chopper is actually very useful and I like how he has his own beliefs on certain ways of doing things in the medicine world, but yea he needs screen time.
@@WeebGamer69 The way Chopper, Nami, and Brook stood up to Big Mom in Whole Cake Island was very cool, Chopper even had his own shot in the anime opening against Big Mom. Though thinking back I do agree that Chopper also needs more spotlight. Thing is, the reason I want Brook to stand out is that he was the last Strawhat to join (before Jinbei) and I don't think we've ever seen him in a serious fight extending a whole chapter or two (one that he actually won)
