- We have all been to a wedding where the speeches were a little dull and boring, but at Jill and Joel's charming coastal wedding in Charleston, South Carolina, that was not the case. The Grooms older brother Elliot, delivered a perfectly executed speech straight from memory without any notes that was elaborately tied together like a stand-up comedy special. By the end he had the whole room rolling with laughter and standing in applause! Absolutely one of our favorite speeches of the year!

I like how there were no cliché jokes, everything was specific about the groom and not generic internet wedding jokes
He did all of this by memory that comes from the heart.

His timing is impeccable. You could hand that speech to a hundred other people, and none would make it that funny. Well done, sir... well done.
Nobody could come up with a speech like that unless he truly loved his brother. Hilarious, and very well done.
I genuinely believe he didn't need to say words of love, you can see how he loves his brother by the immensely high level of roasting him, which is what some of us love to do to our beloved friends and family.

as someone who is about to give my fourth best man speech I can't resist commenting to say this in unbelievable. an impossible standard for anyone to live up to. it's like he took this act on the road for 2 months before the wedding to tighten it up and perfect it. goat speech

I have a jewish cousin, and he's ALWAYS got a coupon for whatever restaurant we go to; and at our other cousin's wedding, pulled pork was served and he ate the shit out of it. He just kept saying "this pulled chicken is delicious" LOL
And he delivered this fine speech with a straight face which added to his timing and content, brilliant 😂.
