Still manages a smile even feeling terrible! Well done Nadir, it's during times like this you know who your friends are. Having to pay before being treated is bad, it's good to see it's free, here in the UK everyone is who needs medical assistance is treated for free also.
I am thankful for receiving the required medical care despite the unforeseen circumstances. I express my gratitude to Nadir, his father, and the medical team who assisted me 🙏❤️
Big props to Nadir and his father for taking such good care. They treat you like family! Get well speedily and continue to enjoy all Bangladesh has to offer.

Sorry to hear amigo...I hope you feel well soon. I can imagine what you're going through. Something similar happened to me when I visited Rio de Janeiro a few years ago. My friend was laughing at me, and 2 days later he ended up in hospital too. Good news though. Once you see a doctor and they give you meds you will be fine. Stay strong amigo 😢 You've got this!
I got so sick in Indonesia & spent 7 days in hospital with gastroenteritis. I was travelling on my own. I have never been so sick in all my life. Drip after drip after drip. The bill at the end of my stay was $6000 Australia $ Thank goodness for travel insurance !
How are you Luke? I miss you following you from Iraq 🇮🇶 I was glad you visited my country I wish I met you I am a girl❤ When I watched your videos, I felt the energy and positivity in your smile and the love life 💕
Bangladeshi here, yeah street food over here is risky especially for foreigners. Especially anything liquid (juice, lassi, etc), those are the most likely to cause severe sickness. I think foreigners should stick to restaurants. Bangladesh has a lot of restaurants that serve insanely tasty food. Street food is riskier so if you're gonna try any it should be kept to a minimum.
When we as a bangladeshi living in foreign country and when we go Bangladesh we never eat street food or cheap restaurants food. Even Bangladeshi middle class people don’t eat from those places but you eating from very very poor hygienic places. Even Nadir won’t eat from those places you’ve been eating. Do whatever you like but when something to eat go to a decent restaurant. Never eat from street or cheap restaurants. People’s who eat from those places they’re stomach used to eat so therefore they don’t get food poisoning
When you think you can eat or drink again....try some watermelon juice (small sips to start)....DON'T put anything else in it. It has to be straight juice only. This saved me and my stomach a few times while traveling. It doesn't cure anything, just gets fluids in and nutrients. For me it did settle my stomach out the tail end of the ordeal (no not a pun). Good luck mate!
Wishing you a quick recovery, Luke... Then maybe visit the country side of Bangladesh. But unfortunately there is heatwaves going through all of South Asia, especially in Dhaka city where the temperature is 40 Degree Celsius and feels more warm. So, Stay in the AC room, in the night time you can explore the city a bit. Eid is coming soon. Hope you will celebrate the Eid festival with us in Bangladesh.🎉❤

Luke you are amazing, you are able to make friends with all people regardless of where you are from Australia I wish you the best and keep going❤Love From Bangladesh🇧🇩
Oh man I feel for you. I just spend a trip to Mexico sleeping on the shower floor so I’d be ready to puke at any moment, and I can honestly say it may be one of the worst things I have ever experienced.
Honestly, Dhaka is not a place where you can blend in locally and try all sorts of local food! Even as an Indian, I have fallen sick while during my stay at Dhaka back in 2019.
Hope you feel better soon. Please stay hydrated. Same thing happened to me on my 3rd day in Rome just last month and I got food poisoning from eating some dodgy pizza! Never thought that would ever happen. Eat small portions of bland dry stuff like bread but drink LOTS of water even if you keep vomiting, cos the danger is dehydration which can affect your organs. I had to take anti-acid cos I was vomiting so much my throat was burning. I felt better after about 48hrs. Take care.
Get well soon brother. Some of the street food will make you sick regardless. It happens to locals as well. I am a big fan of yours, one day hopefully our paths cross, be it in Bangladesh or overseas.
Luke did you not take any medication with you from australia? People from uk take stuff like, gaviscon, pepto bismal, etc for upset stomach. Drink green tea and pepper mint tea it will help more and fast for couple days you feel better bro. Would you visit sylhet soon?
Damn, I went back to Dhaka after 4 years, I ate tons, was so good. I guess 21 years of experience from childhood helped. I wish you got to try more great foods out there despite the terrible road block. I hope you got well soon.
This weather is too hot , getting bad stomach or catching a flu is quite common here in South Asia in such adverse weather where there is 40° C outside but you come in 16°C AC and eat ice cream and coldrink. The sudden change in temperatures affect the body a lot. It's important to stay hydrated, avoid going into acs Or outside all of sudden, avoid street foods where you are not sure of hygiene. Get well soon mate
For BD travel advice, visitor's should never take ice cubes with their drinks because the chances are that the ice was not made from boiled water or bottled water. And salads may not have been washed with bottled or boiled water. And it is even advisable to carry one's own washed plates and spoon and fork as these might not be washed with clean water and dried before food is put on them by street vendors.
Hope you get well fast Luke! The videos are very entertaining. Keep it coming brother, we really love the authenticity of your videos. Never change Luke!❤

I knew that lassi was a really bad idea, when I saw how cultured it was unrefrigerated…. And you’re also right about the ice and the sugarcane juice. I was thinking maybe in really hot areas when traveling it would be best to have a thermos full of ice from the hotel in your backpack.

I always fast in every country until I can personally witness a local eating what I intend to eat. Asia is always a BIG chance when eating street food. Subscibed as I like your cool/calm demeanor.

lol what? Are you a doctor?
@@jerroww no i am not but same thing happened to me 2 years ago in 2021 i was vomiting 6,7 times a day than went to a hospital and the doctor suggested me to stay in the hospital for 5 days and after i got better
I've traveled the world & only got sick twice, reason being I know what & what Not to eat 99% of the time. I always fast in every country until I can personally witness a local eating what I intend to eat. Asia is always a BIG chance when eating street food. Subscibed as I like your cool/calm demeanor.
hope you feel better soon buddy !
thanks so much!
Sorry to hear how sick you are! Hope you feel better soon!!!

I feared this was gonna happen lukey. You're too brave with food. God bless bro
Nadir is a very special friend... He's always smiling and positive. I wish he was my friend.
I got Delhi belly on my first trip to India. I forgot and brushed my teeth with tap water. I had all of the same symptoms you described. Fortunately I didn't have to go to the hospital, a Dr came to my room and gave me meds and i was up and running in 24 hours
Get well soon, my friend!
Yay Nadir and dad to the rescue. Nice job. Hope you feel better soon. I've stayed for long periods in Bangladesh and never got sick. Peace and love bro.
