- Lily Isaacs, the mother and singer of the award winning bluegrass Southern Gospel group, "The Issacs," tells the fascinating story of her life and heritage. Born in Poland to Natzi concentration camp survivors, her family boarded the boat for America. Growing up in the Bronx, Lily was exposed to the theaters, art, and music in NYC in the late 60’s. Fast forward to today, she joins her family on stage, touring all over the world, with the Gaithers & Reba McEntire and the group has even been inducted into the Grand Ol Opry! This is the best interview done to date of Lily. I have spent many many hours with this family and can vouch that there are no finer people anywhere. So glad to hear her go into even more detail here than even in her books. Bless you for hosting her and bless my friends The Isaacs who are even now in Israel.

The hard times. It’s over now thank our Father❤in heaven. I also love your family singing.❤
My late father-in-law was a tank commander and fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and he drank himself to death. He died of cirrhosis. He would never talk about his experience in Rhineland and Italy when he was sober. Once he started drinking, he opened up, and that was all he talked about, and he would start remember seeing his tank buddy get blown up and off his body, and he would continue on with all the atrocities he witnessed during the war. It was so sad and heartbreaking to watch such a WW2 hero standing straight and proud and then ending up losing both his legs, becoming dependend upon everyone and ultimately die of cirrhosis.
Just amazing...
I have heard bits and pieces of Lily's story, but this interview was amazing. What a testimony of faith and inspiration! I love the Isaac's and their music! Thank you so much for sharing your story with us Lily ! Off to find the books ! New sub !
Absolutely amazing. I have heard Lily’s story to an extent, but never details that were shared today. My heart aches for what her family and so many went through. Unimaginable evil. I was glued to this episode, and learned so much. God bless Lily….I’m so thankful that she is keeping the story alive.

God bless Lily Isaacs and her family. None of us can imagine what your family had to endure and we pray that by your telling the story this horrible atrocity will never happen again.
I visited the Auschwitz camp in Poland and it was very eerie and upsetting as to what happened to all those poor Jews
My Jewish mother of blessed memory also came to America from Poland when she was a toddler with her parents my zayde and bubbe of blessed memory not long before Hitler invaded Poland in 1939. A synagogue sponsored my zayde and his family because he was a Rabbi. I have relatives who died in the Shoah. My father was a goy of Irish heritage from the Shenandoah valley of VA. and my folks met while my father was in the army in the 1950s. I grew up in the Shenandoah valley and was homeschooled and in our home school co op my mother and I were the only Jews yet my father as a Christian and a goy from the Shenandoah valley of VA. he loved southern gospel music and bluegrass and classic country so I grew up on listening to the Carter family and Earl Scruggs and Ralph Stanley and Bill Monroe and Ricky Scaggs. My father grew up without electricity and indoor plumbing also in the 1930s during the depression
My husband best friend Wallace is married to Lily's niece Judy isaaccs . Judy is my BFF they are good ppl
we need a Jerusalem tour from her
Where can I get her books I really want to read them very sad
I did you want put it out.
Yes, my aunt went through this in France. She watched them kill her family while she hid in the hay stack. My adoptive father has a simular story as he came from yougoslovi. I've seen the brands on the wrist of many who survived, these people converted to Christianity when they came here. We are living the same thing now, only thing, they are renaming the game.
Google won’t.let me send messages.
The tormenters were realky sadists. What would they have answered God? But sorry the way the Jews were treated. God give grace.
What a wicked man was Hitler.
This is why America is blessed but slowly losing the blessing as she us turning herself slowly away from Israel.
