Hope you all enjoyed the video! I also hope it helps new players on what to expect if they decide to play Genshin :)
me as a day 1 player can recomment the following tips:
1) asoon u unlocked dailys and resin, do your dailys everyday and spend your resin. specially in the low AR lvls resin dont will look important to you but later on u been thankfull to do it, no matter if u use the element anomaly thing to get ingame money/ charcter lvl items or doing a boss for your char. it doesnt matter where u spend your resin.
2) as speaking of resin while u level up you earn fragile resin (looks like a half moon) dont use them till you been AR45/55 and unlocked the most rewarded domains
3) genshin is a game that rewards you not for playing like a maniac for 24h a day, genshin rewards you for coming back every day. so keep that in mind there is no hurry to get as fast as possible to the endgame, the endgame is kinda boring so enjoy the time you need for the story ect
4) dont do that what doro did on 10:50. if you farm for artifacts make all runs after each other without checking the artifacts every run. make ur runs in example 5 and after this you go and check if there was something usefull. this keeps the frustration limit low because you dont get dissapointed 5x you only got 1x dissapointed, the negativ side can be that u spend more resin as needed (if u get the desired artefact in ur 1st run) but i think thats a trade off worth it for your frustrations
5) if you dont know things use google/wikis and interactive map, even me as a player with way to many hours using this assets
6) most of all have fun
I'd love for you to someday cover the transparency of genshin to starrail. Hoyoverse games but one seems to rake care of their global player base better than their local player base. Content release, in game rewards, etc. I don't want you to be slapped with negative rep or lose any sponsorship but just something I don't know if you ever wanted to talk about.
pre farmingvasencion levels soo you don't have to many ptoblems witch figts
As a daily player of 3 years i only buy moon blessing if you calculate the price with the normal topup and calculate how much primos you can get from one welkin yeah safe to say the welkin is by far the most afforteble for the best outcome of what you get in return
Now saving for c6 neuvilette am at 33608 primogems wish me luch just need 4 more coppies of him and i already got hes sig so gacha gods pls pray for me ya’ll TT
I have already played exhocalypse
Another tip that I have would be to NEVER ignore an oculi. If you cant get it at the moment, mark it on the map, but NEVER EVER should you ignore one. Trust me, with the extra stamina and extra shrine keys you will be able to do a whole lot more in the game.
So true man nkw I am down to last 30 geoculi and I dont know where they are and my.... God liyuye is so big to explore Indint know what will happen when I reach sumeru(i just completed inazuma archin quest)
This. I still need like ten in Inazuma and I haven't marked them. And I dislike to use the interactive map
@krrishraj8867 but you have the recipes for resonance stones, right?
@@krrishraj8867I post you the link to the Genshin Map. You will see all oculi on it and much more things you will find very usefull.
Have a great weekend 😉
@@catcatcat8i forgot what its called but you can craft something and it will lead you to them
2:09 as an f2p player, yes the satisfaction you feel when you got your character you are aiming for and able to build them with a very high damage (my dream) thru daily farming is so satisfying. the happiness is so real like my asian mom literally was surpriseed on my sudden scream when i got my first childe and wriothesley huhu
Especially when you win your 50/50 🤤🤤
@@sosukea335 you probably shouldnt prefarm for a character you arent guaranteed to get but yeah it feels nice to win a 5050
I was so happy getting raiden c2 as an f2p I started the game after seeing her design 😅
@@ashlyashie1462how much pity?
@@psyh5743 oh got all 3 raidens this banner all were earlies saved up like 250 wishes 😁😅
I love Genshin, and probably won't stop until the servers shut down, can't wait for what's in store for the future
We are same bro
Wait would that really happen? People put so much effort into this game. Have spent years on it and have spent loads of money, can they really just do that in the future
Sweet. I’m in the long haul as well.
I hope it will never end
@@JessPetswell, if the game completely looses popularity over the years which would make the devs lose money to keep the game up or the updates even, anythings possible
Whenever you see something on the map, that you can't solve yet, MARK IT. For example, if you come across a door that needs a key to unlock it, set a marker on the map so that when you find the key later, you know where to use it. If you see an oculus on the map that you don't know how/don't want to get at the moment, mark it on the map. Do the same thing with shrines of depth. Your future self will be happy.
My present self is certainly not happy that my past self never did this.
Yesss, I started doing that recently and it helps soo much! Sometimes I even pin chests if I don't feel like getting them at the moment and then go back whenever I need daily encounter points.
Or just use the interactive map and ELIMINATE things that you already have done. This worked much better for me because I don't like seeing a bunch of markers on the in-game map
my favourite thing to do when I run out of event or main story is to start exploring the markers I've put down on my map. Some things aren't anything but sometimes you find something so incredible that you wished you could do it again. And I constantly run out of markers because I mark everything: story, interesting locations, mining spots, flowers, character materials, entrances, etc. I do serious house keeping every time a new area comes out ^_^;

Another tip as an f2p player: save your primos and don't wish on every character/weapon banner. Don't go for the characters that are "meta," go for characters you like the design, play style, lore, etc.
It makes the game so much more fun imo
Actually, pity carries over banners so I don't mind if you wish on the SAME BANNER.
However, don't be like me and waste precious primogems on standard fates.
@@Music_studios26 i’m not saying that it’s hard to get enough primos or anything (and I know that pity carries over) I was saying more that don’t go for characters that people say are “better,” go for who you like, you know?
but you have a valid point especially about standard banner wishing
To new players, do not skip the reputation system especially on Liyue. That condensed resin recipe is a must for domain farming.
how do u get reputation though
@@someyhing do some explorations, and the do the quest that allows you to start weekly quests for the reputation, you can search it for more guide
@@someyhing Doing the weekly x3 requests and x3 bounties, the corresponding region's exploration %, and doing some quests within the region
It costs 40 resin and gives 40 resin rewards so +-0. Isnt it just for days you cant play 10min to not waste resin?
@@Nephale I agree, I also often condense my resin before sleeping just so it doesn't cap when I wake up. Other than that though, a reason for condensing resin is saving you *time* in the long run.
It gives you double the rewards in one round, which makes it faster to complete if you're going to farm domains over and over again. 10 rounds with double drops VS 20 rounds is a big difference in play time. Plus, if the domain is difficult or something you don't like, by using condensed resin you don't have to challenge it as much as you may need to.
As someone that just started playing back in late December 2023 It was overwhelming at first. I didn't know how it worked or what to do but the more I played the better the experience was. Not to mention but you also have a Co-op mode that you could play with friends. Currently in the final act of Liyue , AR level 27 and it can only go up from here
same! I started last December and haven’t put the game down since! It’s too good :)) I’m currently in Inazuma quest
I'm surprised no one mentioned exploration, the main selling point of the game. Like yeah, the lore, story and world-building are amazing, but the world itslef is beautiful. Every area is spectacular and it gives a sense of awe, whether by sheer size or majesty of the landscape. I have looked at upcoming exploration games like Wuthering Waves, but their aesthetic just doesn't hit the same.
I know right! The exploration is why I started and have stuck with this game.
That's because WW focuse more in combat than aesthetic while GI is the opposite of it.
FOR ME :
1) DON'T YOU EVER. EVER. EVER. WHALING. If you want, just buy the monthly ONLY. If you have more money to spent, BP is more than enough.
2) Play it in YOUR OWN PACE
3) Play and Pull WHOEVER character that you love and like. Husbu & Waifu > Meta.
For me, its meta > waifu.
because i am playing on mobile and its pretty frustrating if you don't have a team that strong enough to kill a boss or clear a domain.
Now its been 1 year since I start playing genshin and I think I will start to prioritize waifu > meta
@@danieliskandar6356I think yeaj, early game meta>waifu, but honestly, I love when waifus/husbandos are meta. As a husbando enjoyer I see getting Alhaitham, Baizhu and Neuvillette as a huge win because of how broken they are, even if I already had a few meta characters like Raiden, Ganyu and a solid mono geo team with Itto
As someone who used to whale, One patch I decides to not spend any money and actually save up for 2 patches and the satisfaction I got from getting both Baizhu and Furina without paying hit the spot
1. Once you get Xiangling, she is now your main until AR45 (and possibly beyond).
2. Plan a hiking trip to Sumeru as soon as you can. Dendro MC is worth it.
Xiao was my main until ar50 lol
@@Emily_Bondevik_Official Mine was Ganyu and Candice. 😂 I only learned WAAY later how insanely cracked Xiangling's pyronado actually was.
No build Xiangling. Razor was main.
even after ar45 and into ar55+ you should have a xiangling, bennett, and xingqiu built. i’m ar60 started playing at release and i just got around to building my xingqiu and love him
switched to Yanfei from Xianling at the very beginning of the game. burgeon Yanfei team is way easier to build especially when you not have all the international team
My biggest tip is that it's okay to pick the second best set for a character! Sometimes the signature artifact set is in a domain where the second set is not that good (For example Navia). I use a 2pc + 2pc now on my Navia and she's doing good dmg anyway!
this isnt relevant until ar 45 though
Took the words right out of my mouth when you get a character you truly want and you slowly build them and your friendship with that character goes up and you discover more about them it kind of does become like your baby
Genshin has gone through more than three years of development with countless things that have changed significantly compared to the first version, which will make new players have to learn about Genshin for a while to know it well before playing it.
3 years....more like 3 months😂 game is still shit
@@ziebus904if you don't like a game, then don't play it. This is a "genshin" type of video. So sending hate is childish and not necessary either.
@@kaylakaty132 stay mad genshintard
when i first got the game all i knew was there were characters to collect and fighting. i didn’t think id care for it at all since im not a fan of just fighting games, but then i learned that there was a whole story with deep lore and characters that i loved and i fell into the pit of genshin FAST. i think its definitely worth it to start whenever you want to
As a f2p who has been playing for pver a year now, i absolutely love the game. I was skepitcal when it first came out but im so glad i gave it a try. I have cried for this game more than i thought i would ever. I wish i joined sooner. Im actually currently making some fanart for furina! :]
Doro, keep doing what you’re doing bro, these vids are the greatest.
Another tip is to save/pull for any character u want first, then pull characters that can go well with ur favs
I agree that it's a great time to get into it now, treat it as a normal adventure game. if you see a character you want to pull for when their banner comes around, there are so many videos detailing how the character works, and will help you decide if you actually want to use your primos on them. plus all the quality of life stuff that took them 3 years to develop.
Doro44 I watch yourbvids on genshin impact and I do enjoy the info and the energy you share on this game. I was off for 1 year and missed out but I went back and enjoy playing it. The time and effort is fun and I'm pacing myself on getting characters. But thank you for making vids.
Hey, I just started following you 3 weeks ago, When I started to play genshin impact and I'm loving your content because of different tips about how to build a character or cute moments on your yt shorts. I hope to see more of your content soon and I hope I can play with you too someday when I ever got to catch up or see when you are live! Thanks again for your content and thanks to you I can play better even though I'm still a newbie.
The thing that keeps me coming back beyond the world design, the characters, and the feeling of adventure is for me the lore - As someone who loves an immersive and expansive story, I love exploring the lore of Genshin. Even when I spend months without launching the game because of a hectic work-life, I still keep up with every patch and the events and the theory crafting because the lore behind teyvat is just so fascinating and channels like Doro, TheJonathan, BranOnline allow me to experience the world that I would otherwise be missing out on while also getting funny commentary.
Started playing in February, so for about two months, and this video was so helpful!! Thank you 🙇🏻♂️
Just found your channel subbed❤ great information thanks
Dont
Another good one is Don't get rid of all your 3 Star weapons!
I only just started playing it at the beginning of this year and I love it! I already had a good idea of the lore (that’s what got me into it at first I just didn’t play) but playing has really immersed myself to truly enjoying these characters! Whatever limited events I missed out on whether they’re big or small most of the time I just see play throughs of it on videos people post so I can still know the lore and not *totally* miss out, and I’m definitely saving my wishes and gems for a character coming next banner 😤😂
I have only been playing for 2 months and I'm glad for this info. Your videos are awesome sir.
Awesome video Doro. It's always great to view your content. You are hilarious! Don't ever quit being yourself.
i like Genshin... i just started it on the 1st and this video has been really helpful!
nice advices, thanks!
So true about free2play!!! I was so happy when I won my 50-50 on hu tao on the last day of her banner. Its really rewarding getting ur favourite character while free2play
Can't help but notice Mr. Doro44's impeccable taste in music. And it stays consistent in pretty much every video.
I'm new to the game and the way the elements and exploration are set up. I was easily hooked especially when some elements react different to different elements
I've been playing Genshin Impact since the mid/early 1.x patches, and stayed f2p until fairly recently (even so only buying the occasional welkin to help save for a character). In addition to the bonuses of being f2p that you mentioned, I think having a limited roster of characters at your disposal adds to the engaging challenge of the game-rather than constantly pulling for the most recent characters in order to comply with the current meta, I have found and continue to find combat content more interesting when I have to strategize a little bit.
One thing I would say is do the character story quest once they unlock when going through the archon quest if you want the story to connect better. I didn't know many of the Liyue character stories were unlocked when doing the Inazuma quest so I went back to do Zhongli's, it felt weird for him to say, "Ah yes, the traveler just help saving Liyue from being destroyed by the sea monsters" when I just finished defeating the Fatui and Raiden Shogun in Inazuma.
Thanks this is helpful
Doro is the only Genshin content creator I follow, and I have so much fun. I started watching him on Twitch too while at work, and it makes me enjoy the game more so when I'm done for the day and hit Teyvat to collect my Primogems and go my merry way around the place.
I just started playing GI around 20 days ago..
I have unlocked all areas from Inazuma to Fontaine and I'm loving the story...
uuuugh.
Inazuma and Sumeru story missions are awesoooooome. 😍
if you want/need help be specific about it in your signature. more often im finding people asking for help and then declining to co op. anyways i’m just really thankful for people who genuinely appreciate the help/support because even for some of us grinding away to get from ar58 to ar59 are always learning too.
One of my hang ups on the game is first few patches for Fontaine is that they finished the main part of the story within two updates and now off to the nation of fire
I absolutely love genshin, it’s one of my go to games I love the gameplay and the characters and will continue to save my primos as a fellow f2p player I currently have around 105 wish’s and around twenty five hundred primo’s saved up for my all time favou characters, I’m so excit e for the new nations to come and new playable characters! ( I also wanted to add that I absolutely love your content, you’ve inspired me to start my genshin journey again ❤️ )
Some tips that weren't mentioned are to pull only for the characters you like either for their look or personality (because you're pretty much stuck with them qnd you'll find them annoying if you don't like them) and to use hoyolab map for exploration from the start (it's annoying wanting to 100% every region having to check every spot whether you opened a chest or completed a trial mission or not especially when you have 80+%)
Love the video, greaat tips. The icing on the cake tho, is the great persona music playing throughout XD like and sub for all that combined
i have a tip for the weapon banner put your epitomized path as the opposite weapon you want and only pull on the banner if both weapons are good
Thanks doro for your opinion for genshin impact. For me it's been a year and i agree with that video
I seen my comment in the video, wasn’t read but still. Haha. This was a good video and I def think it’s helpful for new players
Started a month ago ar 51 and honestly i whaled on navia shes such a fun character to play not gonan get that money back but it was worth it am i ever gonna spend again probably but honestly from what ive expirenced is that if your new a good way to get used to the game is just explore the map as much as possible, it offers you a wide variety of what you can expect when you get to the actual parts of the map that you ahve explored later.
As someone who has played Genshin for over a year now, these are important points that my brother (who also plays genshin) needs to adapt to because he always speedrun the story (because he wants to catch up to the point that he doesn't understand anything that happened) and always questions me all about what happens on those quests and it's annoying. 🙃
5:05 Look mom! I MADE IT! 😂
Thanks for being awesome Doro!
I just started back in January 5th and I love it so far excited for 4.4
Another tip would be wish for the charters you want each charter can be built goodly to do a lot of damage
I like your video l enjoy that thank you
Gonna add this as a diologue skipper.
I just love the combat of the game and trying to optimize my damage on my characters with artifact farming. While not all will care much about getting high numbers, I just think it's fun trying to improve some of my favorite characters to feel more powerful!
I recently started to play w my friend but I had to really GRIND just to play w her, but it was so worth it she helps me out so much and shows me everything so I don't need YT. And my first 5star was navia and she's a BEAST. Still f2p so far, tryna beat up the Shogun rn!
I Solemnly Agree With the dialogue part because I speed ran archon quests until chapter 3 (Sumeru) and I loved the game even more once I listened to the dialogue (The Festival Saritsa was hell tho) but it made the game s much more enjoyable after I started listening to the archon quest and I actually looked forward to them
My biggest problem with Genshin as someone who hasn’t been playing for a long time is that the game always asumes I did something? For example: when I unlocked TCG the characters that that introduce us to the game mode are: Sucrose and Fishl. Paimon and all the characters act like we’re friends, but I actually never seen them before. It would be nice if game could acknowledge the fact that I haven’t seen the event they first appeared in and trigger like introduction cut scene or something. Same goes to the Itto event that is in game now. Itto is acting like we know each other, but I just unlocked the story quests and only did Monstad characters! I don’t know who Itto is! It takes me out every time that is happening and it’s not rare.
I think they did that before. Like they locked you out of events if you didnt do the said story quests for immersion. But many players complained about it since they needed to do the story quests to get the primos from events which is why they made it such that we can do the events even without doing the story quest for the character
I’m so glad i unlocked all of the map the moment j hit AR 20 (i recommend the same for others) so that you can do all the events! especially the new fontaine ones :)
How did you do that? I'm almost ar 23 when i unlocked the whole map. That's without the compulsory storyline
@@moontim4620 literally just take 1-2 hours out of your day to unlock all the statues :3
I'm guessing you didn't kill the monsters and open chests along the way? I just found out it is not normal for beginners to do that and i've been doing that sincd the start...
@@moontim4620 i open chests but i avoid monsters lol
great vid Doro as usual, a new player tip if you're an F2P you're limited on primos so pick wisely the character you wanna pull for, dose it synergies well with your team or not this will make your journey across Tevat a lot smoother , bonus tip bennet is a 6 star character
Not me getting a Honkai star rail ad with doro44 in it before the video-
I started on the 4.0 banner. Got lucky and pulled Yelan after playing for a few weeks. Been hooked since.
TALENTS. Leveling up talents is so important. I used to only level up weapons and character levels but the enemies got harder and harder to beat till I finally started leveling up my talents.
Samee I like didn't know talents existed??
@@charvikoul4298 right?! Now I know😅😅
For the weapon banner I think it depends on how much you want a character with it's weapon. I saved like 26k primos for furina and got her, so I spent the rest on her weapon and got it. Idk if the pity from previous banner helped me though 🤔
I started new year of 2024 exactly and I needed this. I have a c0 raiden my first 5 star Character
just an fyi, the domain that teaches you the elemental reactions is the Temple of the Lion (where we get Lisa), the temple you pointed out is where we get Amber (Temple of Falcon) just a nit pick. :D
Thanks for the vid! The music level was a bit distractingly loud.
for the people who dont have alot of storgae there is a way to make up space in genshin so when u login go to settings click on resources and than u click on past quest resource managemant and u delete them i did it a few days ago and it deleted 10 GB , u dont hvae to worry about it deleting quests u didnt finish it only dletes the stuff u finished and stuff u wont need
i was also a victim of not knowing talents did anything until i came back from 2 year break from it lol so helpful
I literally had just downloaded Genshin earlier today, and then saw this video. What perfect timing haha! Also, you were the one who inspired me to finally try it and.. Yeah. So far, I've spent 6-7 hours on it, and Im quite a fan. Cant wait to explore the world and stories. Cheers.
I started playing genshin more than a year ago and it's surely a worth playing game, i love to explore and level up my characters i love, the story it's amazing, the stories of every character are wonderful to play too, it's really a game that changed my life too making me meet wonderful people and spending happy hours everytime i was playing it, i wanna give some advices too that could be good for some beginners.
• Pull the characters you love and want not just the strongest, if you love dori just take her and build her even if she's not the best character in the game
•Do not ignore exploration and side quests, behind exploration and side quests there are a lot of things that you might miss
• DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON IT, if you want to spend money on it just buy the welkin and if you want the BP, those are the only things that are worth spending money on (but if there is a skin that you absolutely love of a character take it, just don't spend money on crystals)
That's all and i hope that my advices will be useful for someone ❤
Two minutes in and I'm already not feeling your tips on this one. There *is* a middle ground between buying everything and being obnoxiously "f2p btw" never spending a dime. There's nothing wrong with spending responsibly on a hobby you enjoy. Not everything being a constant battle for resources because I buy the battlepass is the optimal way to play, to me. The answer is always to do things in moderation. And if you can't do that, the advice should be to not get into gatcha games in the first place.
At this point im pretty much settled with the character variety and cons i have spent $250 alone in this patch for double verdict, mistsplitter and c2 raiden c1 is legit by just scrapping the remaining primos available from all the previous regions because i milked fontaine and some areas i didnt explore
Yo doro your the reason why im playing again remember when you were pulling for raiden and you said i wanna put a sword in your t**ts I remembered that exact moment in my head and got raiden in one ten pull at like 5 pity and its crazy cause I haven’t played since what kazuha came out I did summon for cyno and tignarhi so im using raiden and kazuha till i get to sumeru to get cyno and tignarhi up i truly thank you doro ( I am at the chasm part so in close to sumeru )
Doro I love your content, but I need some tips.On who should I pull, nahida or cloud retainer. Also can you make another try not to laugh I love those, have a great year
Hi doro!
I am not F2P
But...the only thing i buy is a Welkin, to help me a bit
Especially with 4.4 approaching and my goal of getting 3/4 characters
what i did when there's a new map released, i'll unlock all the way points, so whenever there's a new quest on the new map, i can go there easily
The best tip is don’t listen to anyone say pull for a certain character because it’s strong. Pull for the character you like to play
ALWAYS pull your favourites first and meta/suggested after.
I just started about a month ago and I really love the storyline
Archon quests, story quests and main event quest's dialogues are the only ones I don't skip
I love the splatoon 3 cover
As someone who is very on and off when it comes to playing games, Genshin is one that I constantly come back to. I won’t play it for a week and then come back to it and run around as Sayu. I just have so much fun for how big and well built the world it. I would highly suggest pulling and building the characters YOU want to play. My current team makes no sense because I’m pretty sure they don’t even build off each other. My team is Sayu, Qiqi, Xangling, and Barbra. Those are the characters I find the most fun to play, so that’s who I play. I’m AR 54 and I’ve struggled so much but I’ve had so much fun with it.
(Also yes I have 3 healers on my main team. If I can out heal the damage, I can never die. 🙃)
My dad and lil brother started playing Genshin a few months ago. Very fun
There needs to be a 6 player rotational raid unique to every region. Another thing is a permanent 4v4 4 star battle brawl. Also for the love of god, make it to where we can at the bare minimum target farm a certain stat on artifacts for 2 days a week. That’s what players have been asking for 3 years now. That’ll take care of the endgame issue, the multiplayer issue as well as the artifact issue.
i actually recent been playing it going on for maybe 2 weeks and I'm really enjoying it. The AR system gatekeeping me is weird to me but i also enjoy it cause I'm a hardcore gamer where once i start getting in the zone, I'm then getting out the zone and I've beat the game in a few days or hours.
I started playing in April, and I am crazy in love with this game. A tip that I would share is don't be afraid of the monsters. Fight all of them to learn how to fight and to learn how your team works together. If you do co-op, you can do it with just people you know in real life, or you can play with online random. So far, I have had only positive experiences with the random online players. When I am allowing them in, I always ask if they need something. Usually, they say yes and tell me what it is. Then I tell them to go get it. Sometimes, they are bored and want to help me do whatever I'm doing. It's fun.
Some tips: Mark things on your map, especially shrines and ocuilis so you can go back there later, and don't forget to give it a name as well. What I found very usefull to know is stamina management, when you sprint it goes down quicker, same with jumping while clilmbing and fast swimming. You're stamina will last longer and get you further if you don't sprint. Another thing, when you're flying in the air and are almost running out of stamina, do an attack which makes you plunge down and makes you get way less damage then if you would fall down after running out of stamina :) I've been loving playing this game and hope new players have some use from my tips 😊❤️
I have a habit of picking things up when i see the button. Sometimes i dont even realise i do it, until i look at how many 1000’s of every kind of flower i have
So, I started Genshin like 3 or 2 weeks ago. Though wishing might be hard(still have problems with it so I'm just gonna save my primos and fates), I do love the stories it contains and stuff.
It feels like you're watching a movie seeing these cool cutscenes. I'm right now at AR 17, and I'm pretty much just exploring the new areas by unlocking statues of sevens and stuff and try to get oculis if I can.
(Though some that I stumbled apon which are so far geo and anemo, were kinda hard to get.)
But overall, the game is fun.
Im not one that likes sitting around & listening to game lore, but i enjoy the storyline for genshin a lot. Its unique & *such* an emotional roller-coaster. The character designs are great, the gameplay is amazing, the small details are fun to find, & overall its a good game even if its time consuming to really get good at. Ive been playing for maybe 6 to 8 months & wish i started playing sooner because some of the events seem like they were really cool.
Hi Doro!!!!
I started on January of this year, and still having a blast. I love the exploration, and the concepts behind some of the stories are sometimes GREAT. Is not everyone's cup of tea, many people don't like this kind of games (ignoring the gambling aspect) but if you like the gameplay and/or visuals and/or the exploration, you can have hundreds of hours of fun for free. And while overall great, sometimes just okay... there are some areas or locations that are just plain gorgeous and I have to remind myself that it was made in 3D, because there are some places that look like a 2D drawing masterpiece.
That being said... there are also lots of problems with the game, in all areas (visuals, gameplay, puzzles, difficulty, endgame, exploration, animations) , and a TON of stuff could be waaay more polished with little effort or monetary cost. They really cheap out with a lot of the stuff in there; specially with how much money they do.
I think it's still worth.. I just started September last year and I'm having a blast.. and yes it's not too late to enjoy the game.. even though I'm a hardcore gamer, I still think you can enjoy the game and never feel left out or missed way too much..
I myself have only played for 5 months now and im finally ar 45 after holding ar 30. But one tip is play characters you like, it might not be a strong team but play it and add little upgrade or swap to other characters that are good but you also like.
Tip/fact
I got 5 limited 5 stars f2p most on banners right after each over in early game.
although I rushed the game so fast and invested all my time into exploring that now my worlds resources are gone. (I may have spent money to get the guarantee) but I suggest at least only spend money (if you are planning to) if you have a guarantee.
I've been playing genshin for like 2 years now and i do spend a lil bit of money on it sometimes but if i do i always get the welkin or the battle pass cuz i dont want to spend much on it but the first year i didnt spend any money on it and it was still fun
I quit playing Genshin Impact about a year ago. I had made so many mistakes when I started playing and they all caught up to me. I was too weak to fight anything, I leveled up my world too quickly, I had no leveling up materials. I was lost, and quite frankly very frustrated. I felt that it was a lost cause, so I quit. I haven't touched the game since, and I didn't plan to either, but I came across this video and I started to think. I could just make an entirely new account and start brand new knowing what I know now, not only from this video but from past experiences. I've also felt motivated to play Genshin because all my friends around me have mentioned it countless times and they love it to death, and I feel like I may be missing out. I just cleaned out a LOT of storage on my gaming laptop, so maybe now it's a good chance to finally pick up Genshin Impact, blow away that dust, and try it out one last time.
Good luck mate, welcome back again 🙃
On the point about levelling every character, I'd say only do it if you're comfortable with where you're at with your teams. You should be able to clear most combatitive content in a short amount of time. But with that said, level them one at a time instead of all at once.
By the time you're ready to level everyone, you'll be AR55-60.
Partly due to my schedule I do not have time to game much at all right now which is tough with Genshin because it is not a game you can AFK farm things on, you have to fight and react in this game, so I usually find myself looking for games that I can AFK farm and because of the time not playing it I have found myself less invested in Genshin. I by no means hate the game, I came back for Fontaine to play the Archon quest and to me it was hands down my favourite quest of all five we have played so far. I will come back to get Cloud Retainer because I do love her design, but other than that I think I am mostly going to be playing the game for its main story.
If there are some big must play lore events, I will see about playing those as long as they are not as drawn out as some of the ones Sumeru (Aranara, desert ruins, etc.).
Sorry for the little life story/rant, but also I think another good piece of advice is to not worry too much about tier lists or chase meta too much. If there is a character that you like the aesthetic of or the kit (an example for me is Mona, love everything about her) then use them, maybe find a reaction team to build around them. It is fine to see what people are using for sets and preferred stats but especially early on, most early game sets you get can be good enough to get you through the content.
