shih tzus are still my fave breed. You did a wonderful job, I like this style. I groom my dog just about the same way lately. Long hair on the legs, face, ears, and tail... I go a bit shorter though and I don't keep the top knot because I don't like taking care of ponies. thanks for the video!

My son and son in law are both formans for new river electric they have been there since Monday evening their motile was evacuated thank goodness they found another one but there are times when they have slept in their trucks. Hello Suzanne what is your opinion on clipper vac’s? I noticed that you don’t use them in your videos. Thank you.
I have used them and they work great. But I set out on a mission years ago on making grooming as much like a salon spa experience as possible. Which led me to removing as many noisy tools as possible, including my clipper vacs, shop vacs, and HV dryers. Even some of my stand dryers were too loud.

I have long hair and when I tie it back or up in a ponytail kinda way after 4 or 5 hours it make my scalp sore. Having that much hair on such a little head has to do the same thing , doesn’t it ?
I would imagine so. That’s why proper care is so important. Whether human or animal, caring for long hair is a labor of love.
Which clipper are you using. Shes using andis 2 comb on coco, its gowing out so fast in 2mweeks. Shes coming today. I do the shampoo cond and blowout. Never hasvmatt with flaired paws. Her face is totally flat. I need just to maintain body before 6 weeks, lightvweight with comb attachment reasonably priced. Im usingbshernbao 420 with led lites on paws. Thats easy.

How often do you wash a shin Tzus
Every 5 days for extra long coats and up to every 3 weeks for short coats.
Question: I was wondering why you trimmed the chest up on the male & down on the female. Is it a difference in the growth pattern?
I noticed I have to be careful there with my Shih tzu. I use a 4 blade & she has a weird whirl on her chest that leads to VERY short hair when I use a clipper there, so I scissor it instead.
Yes, and his coat is more dense, where her coat is less substantial. She has a major cowlick at the last rib, too. So I am more cautious with how I trim her there.

No, I don’t use combs on the Shernbao.
So Hershey you didn't use Shernbao. 3 blade on Andis too heavy for me. 2 blade on Coco Andis.
Cocos haircut grows out in 2 weeks on body. That's why I just wanted to get light weight clipper to maintain before she comes at 6 weeks. Legs are identical.
You say doing yourself could hurt pet. These are professional clippers. I think thats what scares me. I just have to follow the hair pattern and just make it drop shorter before 6 week groom.

Too heavy for my hand. My groomer uses andis 2 comb. Her hair grows so fast. I cam use my Shernbao 420 for paw bottoms.. my hand doesn't shake. But the body.. om so scared to try. Exact same paws. I'm so talented but she saw that my hand shakes when I held Andis and Kenchi Flash
