- Tactical dice-rolling roguelike combat. Take control of 5 heroes, each with their own unique dice. Fight your way through 20 levels of monsters and try to take on the final boss. If you lose a single fight you have to start over so be careful (and lucky!).

between this and (possibly) more modded balatro, ive been stuffed on the olexa content

7:47 Just a heads-up, it wasn't random that the Gardener got both options for upgrading and then also got the random upgrade! The game always offers you upgrades for your lowest-ranked units first. Because everyone else in the party was T2, the Gardener was only legal option to upgrade. So the game doesn't hate you, it just wants you to level your party as equally as possible.
It's funny that you were offered Agent because that's the gateway to the _actual_ most absurd builds. The shifter keyword has zero sanity checks and is capable of rolling bangers such as "inflict groupdeath".

This video was great though, I was laughing the whole time. Maybe a little too engaged though cause I was yelling too
good job, unfair is sometimes "balanced" (still very very hard) and sometimes straight up impossible (cruel curses).
one thing i recommend as a veteran of this game is to simply not roll the first 5 dice (unless blatantly obvious shit) use them and make a plan with them and then undo and roll the bad ones as they fit the situation
The center row boost + the cleave attacks = strong item combo, good for wiping out mooks like the dang snipers or bees. Or anything else that boosts the cleaves up. Its kind of sad that the default item count is 2, would be nice if you could have more at once.
I struggle to win, yet you pull this off. Insanity.
39:13 There are two out of six sides with two pips, 2/6 = 1/3. So the chance of getting three in a row is 1/27, about 3.7%. But this goes up to 1/9 if you have two rerolls left and 1/3 if you have one, so you have to be careful if you decide to reroll one of the lower damage pain sides.

You likely want to go back and get golden laurels for normal and easy real quick as each will unlock more things, and you can breeze through quickly while having fun. (Later you can do the same with the even lower difficulties) although they say that unlocking things just makes the game more complex, not easier, it also unlocks synergies that you can’t do just about any other way but are tons of fun to pull off.
Also possibly try dying in each difficulty (like full die)
I'd love to see how this group fares in Nightmare if you have it unlocked (or when you do).

LESS GO, UNFAIR WIN FOR OLANKY!! Also, last time, I didn’t mean “never play unfair”, just “don’t play just unfair” because there’s a lot more unwinnable runs in unfair than in hard and losing for something that’s just unfair isn’t fun. (I know that’s the point of unfair, but still.)

I dont get how some people have wins on Unfair or hard. I struggle to win on normal some. Haha.
I think hard is a good solid “very difficult” roguelike mode. Normal would be hard in ANY other game. And unfair is absolutely unhinged levels of difficult lol. The fact there’s two more difficulties after unfair is just ridiculous

I've got the teeny weeniest gripe. When you're checking your characters at the beginning of the run, you can just press the inventory button to check all the characters at the same time rather than clicking back and forth individually. Great content as always though, will be watching these Slice and Dice videos daily as long as you keep uploading them!
