Yup, lotta guys tend to lug the saw too much when racing. It’s tempting to push on a saw when your loosing and psychologically you think your cutting faster... but your not. You shouldn’t have to push hard if your chain is good. Keep the saw in it’s powerband with a good chain is how you cut efficiently.

The Husqvarna 288 XP Lite was just as quick. It revved higher than either of these saws.
